Took business associates out for dinner expecting the great service and quality M&S is known for, however the service and food was disappointing. Service was slow and unresponsive. Food quality was only average with some of our food being undercooked and even cool. I'd not recommend M&S nor will I entertain associates here again.

We recieved a friendly greeting upon entering. Our waiter was friendly, but not knowledgeable on the wine list. I asked for a Chenin Blanc. (I even told him the label name as stated on the menu.) he brought me a bottle of Chandon. He later tried to sell us on a frequent diners club; weren't interested. The food was of nice quality and neatly plated. I had the stuffed shrimp. It was tasty; however, the accompanying green beans were bland. Overall, the experience was nice.

food ok not at all exceptional, waiter fine had little to say minimal interaction but capable; prices evidently geared toward business expense accounts ; wine prices very high, stepping a wine up from retail 3 X is expected but charging $41 for a 7.99 wine is a bit much, lower priced ones were unremarkable but available, but who wants a 5.99 wine at $33 for an anniversary dinner; too much salt in everything; 13.99 mussels for appetizer very common and very small

We have dined at 3 McCormick & Schmick's and have always been pleased with the meal and the service. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. We had an early reservation, 4:00 and were the second party to be seated. Our waiter seemed to be detached and was not very attentive. Our meal began with clam chowder and spinach salad which were both quite good. It was a very long time after that before our entrees arrived, after 5:00. He had the ginger glazed salmon and I had the blue marlin special. Both fish filets were either overcooked or sat under a warming lamp for too long. The waiter never asked us how our meal was or we would have told him. Perhaps we just should have spoken up but we were headed to a concert and didn't have time to wait for a replacement meal anyway. These things happen. It's just unexpected at a restaurant of this caliber and makes it feel like a waste of money. This experience will not keep us from returning to M & S in the future though which is why I would still recommend it to anyone.

I had a reservation and got there about 20 minutes early. I was seated immediately and the service was friendly. The food came out with hardly any wait and was delicious. It could have been because they were not super packed but I enjoyed this restaurant immensely

  • Beef Medallions or Bear Game?

Went out for dinner Sunday night 11/9/14 with my wife. 1st time here. Convenient free Valet Parking. Ordered the clam chowder soup, which was the best we ever had. The hot sourdough bread was great, wife ordered fish, which was excellent. Only disappointment was the beef medallions, which were not tender, and were somewhat chewy. The server went above and beyond. I did not mention the problem with the beef because the Bear game was scheduled to start. If I had sent the Medallions back, would have missed the 1st quarter of the game. Considering the outcome of the game, I would have been better off reordering my dinner.

Nice restaurant, good service, valet parking is nice. Appetizer of mussels was not good. They had a "un-fresh" smell and I should have sent them back. Crab cake appetizer was lacking crab meat. Both were way over priced! Entrees were very good although perhaps a little pricey and not a great value. Wine was very good and a value as we had a bottle that was on special for 50% off. Service was good although we had to ask for bread twice.

The restaurant is beautiful with an amazing ambience and nice private booths. That was the best part. We were seated near the window and several small ants were on the table. The salads were good. The entrees were good but not great. The website said there was free parking and valet but I was disappointed to find out the validation was only a discount on parking and I had to pay for parking. This is ridiculous is an area so far away from the city and at such an expensive restaurant.

We love going out to dinner and eat everywhere. McCormick & Schmick's is our favorite 'date night' dinner. This particular time we had a waiter named Victor who was terrible. We never complain about staff but this time we had a staff member who was just rude. He continually interrupted our meal to try to sell us more drinks, more food, more dessert, more drinks, more anything. This happened at least 8 times during our meal. We will be back....just not with Victor.

I have been to other McCormick and Schmidt's and they are ok. This one near the airport is very nice, beautiful ambience, and great friendly service. I had the steak and stuffed shrimp combo and it was very good. My partner has a dairy allergy and they tried to accommodate it though were more limited in doing so than other places. Still we would both return. I travel a lot and usually return on a flight that gets in early evening so we miss most of the commute hour traffic...we dine in Rosemont and then drive home.....this will be one of our dining options in the future

Booked through OpenTable and when we arrived were told there was some system glitch and they had no table for us. Earliest reservation that was open would be in 1.5 hrs. They said they would try to slip us in and offered a round of drinks while we waited. We were seated 15 minutes later. They did a great job keeping us there and taking care of us

Before this visit, the last time we came to this restaurant was over a year ago. We were disappointed then, but hoped it was a fluke. We booked our anniversary dinner and crossed our fingers. Unfortunately, we found the ambience very noisy and hectic, the waiter seemed distracted and not very interested in our dining experience, and the food was sub-par. The fish was overdone and the vegetables were underdone. At the end of the meal we were served decaf cappuccinos that were thin with barely any taste. Two positive things: we were greeted with "Happy Anniversary" and given a free anniversary dessert. Nonetheless, we won't be returning.

I have wanted to visit here for years and finally made it. It was very lovely, good ambiance, great customer service from our server, the portion of food fits the plating and tasting :-) It was VERY good, seasoned to perfection, and hot...which is a plus for me! The seating is great as well, especially when on a first date, which I was. Outstanding!

I'm a frequent customer of this restaurant and am very disappointed in the service we received on Saturday September 27, 2014. When our waitress Anna asked if we'd like to start off with appetizers I asked if they had an oyster special or platter. Anna replied "yes we have oysters, they're on the menu." When asked a second time if they had a platter, Anna replied "they're featured on the menu." Knowing in the past that we've ordered an oyster platter, we asked again to which Anna replied sarcastically "well when you order them we'll serve them on a platter." At this point, I couldn't believe Anna's attitude. We ended up ordering the calamari as our appetizer which was never delivered to our table. Poor service!!!!

The service was very slow, we had to ask for our bread to be replenished, I ordered a glass of wine the waiter walked past our table put an empty glass down on the table and 5-7 minutes later someone else came over collected the empty glass and placed my wine down. I ordered the Ultimate Grill, the portions were very small, the salmon and scallops were raw in the middle. When I brought this to the waiters attention he said he was going to take the salmon and scallops off my plate and bring those to the kitchen to be cooked a little longer, I gave him my entire plate as opposed to him removing pieces of my dinner and taking them back to the kitchen. They did not offer any accommodation for the under cooked food or inconvenience.

This is a chain restaurant and it shows in the food. Our dinner was just OK, but expensive for what we received. The service was good and our waiter felt bad that the bar was taking so long and our drinks took 15 minutes to come out so he did comp us a dessert which was nice. Not a bad choice of restaurant if you are in the Rosemont area.

Ordered Fish, I think it was Blue Marlin, reminded me of frozen fish from Costco. Little flavor and dry, and unseasoned. Ordered a bone in rib eye, it was much better than the fish. It was a very uninspired meal. Service was spotty, waiter told me "if you order your Martini Up, they do not use vermouth, a martini only has vermouth when ordered on the rocks"...I have had a lot of martini's, this was new to me..

Mark, our server, was outstanding; made us feel like we already knew him and that he was there just for us.The oysters, crabcake and shrimp cocktail appetizers (I was starving!!) were all fantastic, the main course; a large Filet Mignon with a Lobster Tail thrown in (TOLD you I was hungry!), along with asparagus and gruyere (SP?) potatoes, were absolutely fabulous!!! It was our first time dining here and we were with another couple. The food was outstanding. Both my boyfriend and one of our friends had the prime rib and lobster tail. I had the stuffed salmon and our other friend had the scallops. No one took food home that night, we were all just floored with how delicious everything was. For an appetizer, I would also have to recommend the Shrimp Bliss, they are wrapped in bacon and are also very good. We would diffinetly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining here again.
