McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - PasadenaBirthday Dinner for my HusbandThis was our first visit to this Greene and Greene styled restaurant and we were very pleased. We were given a window booth and had a lovely view of the courtyard and fountains. The starter, Shrimp Kisses, was different and delicious as was the Almond Cookie Basket dessert. Both entrees were very good---a seafood platter for him and mahi mahi for me, tho his salmon could have been cooked a bit more (it was not listed as "seared"). The crab potato hash served with the mahi mahi was outstanding but the corn bisque was disappointing. I thought it would be a small bowl of soup but it was part of the plate decoration. Very nicely presented--and very tasty, just not what I expected! We did certainly enjoy our evening.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLike going homeWe hadn't been to McCormick & Schmick's for at least three years. The Hostess was pleasant and courteous. We arrived early and the rest of our party arrived late. We were seated to wait (our choice, after being asked). The waiter asked if we would like drinks, brought bread and we were supplied with water by his helper. The waiter was the best we had seen in years, quiet, courteous, attentive, pleasant and other adjectives, which I'm sure would fit. The food, as remembered, was just right.

Delectable appetizer and main courses were simply delicious and divine in taste and presentation. The lighting and superb thoughtful service was wonderful and so welcoming. Wanting to make it extra special i arrived an hour early to decorate the table and not only was the staff okay with this, several offered to help. Three dozen balloons...and streamers...and confetti...the works.
Our server even brought my very particular Mother a glass of water that was "not too cold and not too hot" and a large pitcher of room temperature water for the 4 betta fish bowls we used as decor/gifts. Thats right betta fish...
