We waited for our main course for about an hour. The server kept apologizing that they were understaffed. At the end of the meal, the manager came by our table to apologize and offered to give our kids free dessert, but we already paid the bill. It would have been nice for the manager to come to each table and tell us that dessert was complimentary if they wanted to make it up to us for the slow service. We have eaten here many times before, and the service is very good. We will come back, but I feel that we were not compensated for the slow service. We are also a Landry's Select member.

My husband and I are always on a hunt for a new seafood restaurant to try. We had never been to McCormick & Schmick's. Service very prompt. Only problems we had was with the bar however we did not complain. My husband asked for a margarita. Not a frozen margarita. Just a regular margarita. It took awhile to get the drink and our server told us the bartender was trying to work something up. I ordered a glass of merlot. Not a cheap glass at all at a cost of 12.50. It had the flavor of wine that had been in an open bottle for a week or two. While the food was good, we didn't feel that anything on the menu stood out as different or something we can only get at McCormick and Schmicks. For this reason we probably would not go back.

I had not dined at a McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant in many years. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent, I was able to order a wine favorite, and the meal was served at the correct temperature and cooked to perfection.

I was surprised at how delicious ALL the seafood that the table order was. Every single item was FABULOUS! We each did a little sampling here and there. The meals were Al a cart but not overly expensive. I'm planning to return very soon.

In my open table comment section, I mentioned I was taking my nephew and his family out for their 5th anniversary. The menu marking the celebration was a very nice touch as well as the complimentary dessert. Sara, our server was on top of things and the recommendations she made were spot on, she was excellent. All entrees were superb, the only mediocre food was the mashed potatoes, they were cold and the cole slaw was way under seasoned, it seemed like it was missing some key ingredient.. The basil cocktail was excellent and the beer was served in icy glasses. I'll be in Chicago several times on business this fall and we're already talking about our return trip to your restaurant. Thanks for making our dinner a great experience.

We were looking for a good steak & seafood place in the burbs and decided to try M & S. It was easy to get a last minute reservation. The restaurant was pretty empty, especially for a saturday night. Now I know why. Nothing was outstanding! Mariners mojito tasted like cough medicine. Too much dressing on the salad which was supposed to be on the side, my steak was medium rare, but I ordered well done. They did a couple things right. First, crab-stuffed shrimp was pretty tasty. Oysters were good, too. As for the salmon and scallops, they were just okay. Service wasn't bad but I expected more for the prices. If my water glass is empty, that is a clue to fill it. And please take the dirty bread plates off the table.

My wife and I went to McCormick/Schmick's to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Everything from walking in the door to being seated to the service to the meal was excellent. As we walked out the employees all wished a good night and thanked us for coming. The Stuffed Atlantic Salmon was fantastic. My wife's Walleye was delicious. We'll most certainly will be going back. s

Our service was not even closer to what we had experienced before at McCormick and Schmick. We waited for over 10 minutes for a waitress to stop by at all. The restaurants was not crowded at all. After our drink order it was 20 minutes before our wine arrived. We weren't in a hurry, but would have enjoyed our evening if the service had been somewhat more prompt.

Server not informative about dishes. Server assumed that my family was familiar with the menu. As a result undesireable items were served. 3 family members dined of which one meal was not cooked properly but consumed to maintain a somewhat pleasant dining experience. Overall not a good way to celebrate a 24th wedding anniversary.

My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a dinner at McCormick and Schmick's. We had a wonderful time! Our waitress was amazing! The hostess was equally great. Everyone knew it was our anniversary and wished us a happy anniversary. Even the menu was special with a "Happy 40th Anniversary!!" printed at the top, just for us. Plus, I wanted an entree that was not on the menu, and they were happy to accommodate me! (It was wonderful, by the way!) We will definitely come back to see you!!!

Food was pretty good. Service was mediocre at best. Wait person had no personality. Service was slow. When he brought food to the table, he dumped (accidentally) my wife's fries off the plate on to the table, gave a half-hearted "I'm really sorry, I'll get you some fresh fries", and LEFT THE FRIES LAYING THERE AS HE WENT AWAY! The manager came by and offered another lame "I'm sorry". No restitution of any kind was offered. They never asked if we wanted a second drink. All in all, a truly disappointing experience. This was even after my wife told the server we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Our first AND LAST EXPERIENCE AT McCormick and Schmick's!

Clam chowder soup was very salty. Appetizer was suppose to have crab meat but did not taste like crab at all. Fish and chips were ordered and it seemed like there was more breading than fish. We always enjoy eating at McCormick and Schmicks. We are both gluten intolerant, and they understand this issue and offer a large variety of choices from their menu for us to enjoy. The food was very good, and the service was great. My only complaint, specific for this location, is that the music was too loud for my choice, and particularly intrusive on our ability to converse at the table. Is this really necessary? Otherwise, I would always recommend this chain for great food and service.

Another bland dinner at M and S. Was disappointed a few months back so we decided to try it again. Seated promptly(no crowd on Sat night?) Then started waiting for the server, and waited and waited although there no crowd, Finally ordered and was served the salad right away. Before we had a chance to finish the salad out came the entree, I set it back since I don't feel at these prices I should watch my meal get cold while I finish my salad. Finished the salad and said we were ready for the entree which was immediately served. The only problem was that they served me a shrimp dish when I ordered stuffed salmon. So I watched my wife eat while trying to figure out why I came here with so many other choices in the Oak Brook area

Without exaggeration my meal was probably in the top 10 of all time. I started off with "Shrimp Kisses"; shrimp wrapped in bacon and infused with pepper jack cheese. You could probably make a meal out of these; but the problem with that would be you would be missing out on the opportunity for some other fantastic food. Finished it with blackened grilled swordfish. Perfectly prepared. Will highly recommend to to others.

This was our 2nd time at the Oakbrook restaurant. Tried their 4th of July special. We were seated immediately but waited approx. 10 minutes before anyone came to the table to greet us. The waiter took our order but then we were passed to a waitress because supposedly he was about to punch out. We noticed that the waiter was still serving tables after passing us to the waitress. It became a disaster after that; appetizer order was not put in by the waiter/waitress, food was room temperature, portions were much smaller than advertised. Male waiter came to apologize; thought you were going home?? Did not feel comfortable at all. We ate at the downtown restaurant and didn't enjoy that experience either. We are done!!!!
