Another great meal at this restaurant. I had the scallops on a bed of spinach over a crab/potato disc. Very good, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. My bf had the flouder which was very tasty as well.

I've been to this McCormick & Schmicks before and had a good meal but somewhat average experience. Their Mgr. showed concern and asked if we'd return. We are glad we did. This experience was excellent for a special occassion with my family of 4 (wife's Birthday). Our waitress, Danna, was energetic and attentive without being overbearing. the meal was worth the price and everyone one of us thought it was excellent. I am glad we returned to M&S and we will be back in the future.

We drove 40 miles to celebrate my lady's birthday. When I reserved it, I had noted and asked for a simple request, to put a candle on her desert at the end of dinner. I called the same day to confirm the reservation and my request and I was assured it was there. Yet, when the desert came. there was no candle and I had to ask for that and that spoiled the whole surprise. The waitress did check the system and it was there but whoever was in charge of doing this messed up. John

We had previously crossed off McCormick & Schmick on our list of favorites due to past bad experiences. However, we were enticed to return with a 1,000 point offer and we were not disappointed! Our dining experience was quite rewarding as the food and service far exceeded our expectations! Back on our favorites list and we will return.

I chose M & S to bring a few coworkers from out of town to eat. The food (other than one steak was over cooked) was excellent. It's a bit pricey so it's not a place I or my company can afford often but it was a treat for us this past visit.

Sunday eve reservation for 4, maybe 25% of the tables were taken. Waiter was friendly but highly inefficient: 10 minutes wait for cocktails, after another 10 minutes coming back to find out he forgot the lemonade for my son, then bringing wrong lemonade and trying to talk my son to accept what he has brought... He never asked if we wanted another drink after the cocktails to accompany the food. Continued slow pace until end of dinner. Bread was cold, 3 small pieces for the 4 of us. Starters and Fish selections were really good, but rather small sized, the NY strip steak was ordered 'medium', but it came closer to well done. I didn't claim it since I didn't want to wait for another 30 minutes... Rather pricy experience which I won't repeat.

I was expecting more when I booked this restaurant for a party of 12 to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. The table was ready and it was a nice touch to have his special occasion printed on the menu. The atmosphere was congenial and our server did a nice job keeping up with our drink orders and requests for extra bread, etc. Unfortunately the food was just average, considering the price. We were especially disappointed with the oysters (very small!). The portions for seafood items in general were small and, in my opinion, average in flavor. Also, there was no special token dessert to honor my dad. I have eaten at a McCormick's in another city and was very impressed with the food. This location did not live up to my expectations.

We had a bad experience two months ago with a cold entree. The manager called and when we dined there again, they sent a complementary appetizers to us. Our meal was going fine till my mahi mahi came out and was frozen! So frozen I couldn't cut it. Yes, frozen at what I assumed was a fresh seafood restaurant. HAD to call the waiter over who was gracious. Wouldn't you think they would have taken extra care with our meal since we had a problem on the previous visit? They re-made my entree(which was delicious) and comped a glass of wine for me to sip while I waited for my replacement. They also comped dessert, (I'm diabetic so I didn't care about dessert) but I expect a restaurant of their caliber to at least comp my entree if not my meal.

I took my wife to McCormick & Schmick's for her birthday. We sat on the patio out back overlooking the retention pond. It was a beautiful and romantic setting for a beautiful, sunshine-filled Saturday afternoon. The food was delicious. We waited for our main course for about an hour. The server kept apologizing that they were understaffed. At the end of the meal, the manager came by our table to apologize and offered to give our kids free dessert, but we already paid the bill. It would have been nice for the manager to come to each table and tell us that dessert was complimentary if they wanted to make it up to us for the slow service. We have eaten here many times before, and the service is very good. We will come back, but I feel that we were not compensated for the slow service. We are also a Landry's Select member.

My husband and I are always on a hunt for a new seafood restaurant to try. We had never been to McCormick & Schmick's. Service very prompt. Only problems we had was with the bar however we did not complain. My husband asked for a margarita. Not a frozen margarita. Just a regular margarita. It took awhile to get the drink and our server told us the bartender was trying to work something up. I ordered a glass of merlot. Not a cheap glass at all at a cost of 12.50. It had the flavor of wine that had been in an open bottle for a week or two. While the food was good, we didn't feel that anything on the menu stood out as different or something we can only get at McCormick and Schmicks. For this reason we probably would not go back.

In my open table comment section, I mentioned I was taking my nephew and his family out for their 5th anniversary. The menu marking the celebration was a very nice touch as well as the complimentary dessert. Sara, our server was on top of things and the recommendations she made were spot on, she was excellent. All entrees were superb, the only mediocre food was the mashed potatoes, they were cold and the cole slaw was way under seasoned, it seemed like it was missing some key ingredient.. The basil cocktail was excellent and the beer was served in icy glasses. I'll be in Chicago several times on business this fall and we're already talking about our return trip to your restaurant. Thanks for making our dinner a great experience.

We were looking for a good steak & seafood place in the burbs and decided to try M & S. It was easy to get a last minute reservation. The restaurant was pretty empty, especially for a saturday night. Now I know why. Nothing was outstanding! Mariners mojito tasted like cough medicine. Too much dressing on the salad which was supposed to be on the side, my steak was medium rare, but I ordered well done. They did a couple things right. First, crab-stuffed shrimp was pretty tasty. Oysters were good, too. As for the salmon and scallops, they were just okay. Service wasn't bad but I expected more for the prices. If my water glass is empty, that is a clue to fill it. And please take the dirty bread plates off the table.

Our service was not even closer to what we had experienced before at McCormick and Schmick. We waited for over 10 minutes for a waitress to stop by at all. The restaurants was not crowded at all. After our drink order it was 20 minutes before our wine arrived. We weren't in a hurry, but would have enjoyed our evening if the service had been somewhat more prompt.
