Large enough to accommodate groups up to 40 guests, our private dining room overlooks the four acre lake in the Oak Brook Promenade. Rich with Mahogany millwork, stained glass and seafood art, this room also boasts a wall lined with French doors for access to our outside patio. But if you think it stops there ask us to host a party in the warmer months of the year and we'll open up those French doors and have a party of up to 95 people!   • "Everything we ate here was very good except for my wife's entree. This was the first time in a very long time we ever sent anything back. While the replacement took a while to get to the table (20 mins) it was very good. The manager was very accommodating and took some drinks off our bill as an apology. The staff was very good. I'd go back."

  • "If there's one thing to rely on at McCormick and Schmick, it's the wonderful salmon choices!! Whether it's grilled, bourbon-ed, with rigatoni and vegetables, a salad - it's all delightful, fresh and delicious - same for the decadent desserts. You simply can't go wrong. A really delicious and enjoyable lunch. My only concern was the quietness of the venue. There were only a few diners on Saturday afternoon, for a location that can accomodate at least a hundred more and comfortably...I hope the closing of next doors Grotto, isn't a sign of this locales downfall, as the overall quality of this restaurant is supurb!"

  • "Being a Friday in Lent, we went to M & S for their extensive seafood menu, which did not disappoint. There were so many great options, it was difficult to choose. Meatless Fridays are supposed to be a little penance, but that was hardly the case. Our meal was delicious and our waiter, Hani, was outstanding."

  • "Started with the calamari, which I found to be delicious, the platter included battered artichoke and carrots.....yummy!! Next up, clam chowder which was served to me cooler than room temperature. One of the most irritating and disappointing things a waiter/restaurant could do is serve me cold food. I politely sent it back and received a hot cup but couldn't enjoy because the claims were way too sandy or gritty for me. My entrée of salmon and pasta was delicious no complaints there but my friend ordered a very pricey fish dish that was also not hot at all but said she was too hungry to wait for it to be warmed. Overall I like the restaurant but servers should be aware of the correct temperature of food before it's placed with the customers."

  • "I went in for a lunch date. The lobster bites on the appetizer spring menu caught my eye right away. I also wanted to try the dry aged ribeye center cut. I asked the waiter on his recommendation for what to get for an appetizer and BOOM--lobster bites (soooo delicious) The steak was fantastic. All in all, service and food and price were above average. I will be coming back for dinner when wine comes into play."

Had order of oysters: good Clam chowder: good Steak and lobster: lobster was very good, steak: just good Stuffed salmom was very good Chilean sea bass: good. Had pecan pie and Creme Brulee for desert both were good Overall it is a good dinning experience, not over the top, rather expensive"

  • "We dined here with a party of 6. The host was very nice. Our server was extremely accomodating as we had 2 kids with us. He was patient and attentive. The manager even came by once we were done dining to ensure everything was great. The food was very flavorful and the portions were good. I'd recommend this restaurant for any occasion whether casually dining or for a romantic dinner. Enjoy on your next visit!"

  • "Delicious food; exception-Caesar Salad, consisted of a lot of bad parts of the lettuce (white ribs, not green leafy parts). Never got the offered fresh ground pepper. Service was spotty starting with the Host stand. Had a reservation for which we were 15 minutes early, yet stood in the lobby for 25 minutes and were asked 3 times what our name was. We were finally seated right near the entrance at a booth that had been empty most of the time we stood there. Waiter arrived promptly, took our drink orders. Returned periodically and apologized profusely that the bar was backed up. Finally got drinks after 15-20 minutes. Later, after big wait again, got cranberry juice in bottom of glass and bottle of club soda to mix it yourself. Did comp it."

My most recent experience was a party of 9 people and the service was extremely poor. It really soured my opinion of the location and I highly doubt we will return with a larger party. Food was fantastic and on par with previous visits. A great shame about the service"

Staff seemed a bit spacey and didn't know what was going on. Was asked multiple times about the same thing. Took almost 15 min to get a beer I had ordered as I sat down. Wont be going back."

The wine selection was excellent and their house wine was a great. The service was excellent too. The only thing I found were the booths are not as comfortable as they look. They are very straight backs. When I go back, I will sit at a table."

  • "My wife and I went to have lunch on Valentine's Day. The restaurant interior was very nice, we were greeted by the hostess, seating and ambiance were nice. It took over 2-hours for lunch for a restaurant that barely had any customers. This is completely unacceptable. I had a ribeye steak and my wife had salmon. I ordered my steak medium rare; it came out medium on one half and medium well on the other. The cut was 1/2" or less and not very good quality, not worth the $36 price, you can get better at Chile's or Friday's. My wife's salmon was slimy and was not cook consistently, similar to my steak. We ordered warm apple pie desert, apples were raw, seemed to be a frozen desert thrown into microwave. Would not recommend this restaurant"

I was under the impression that the semi-private dining for the party we had would have been a little more secluded than what we had. I was told we would have one table for everyone to be seated at but yet my party of 20 was split into 2 tables which didn't allow the birthday lady full access to all her guest. The variety of selections on the menu were poor. Some meals seem over-priced for the portions we received, especially the McCormick trio and blackened chicken fettuccine. They staff was pleasant and accommodating."

  • "Our server was OUTSTANDING, I have a gluten intolerance, and was was slightly on edge about going once I called and they said they don't have a dedicated gluten free menu, but the servers know what is gluten free and what is not. I was put at ease when the server displayed a high level of knowledge and understanding of the gluten allergy. He was very good with my party of 5's multiple questions and taking a while to figure out just what we were going to order. The food was great! And even for me, being gluten free, there were plenty of choices. I was even able to have dessert!"

  • "Our first visit to restaurant on Valentines Day. Our server had no personality. What saved the experience was the food. Excellent mahi mahi dish. Filet you could cut with a fork it was so tender. Great shrimp appetizer and delicious chocolate cake dessert. We will definitely go back but I hope we get a friendlier server."

The Chilean Sea Bass was amazing and the filet mignon melted in your mouth. Service was spot on, nobody was pushy or breathing down your throat even when it was Valentines day. There were plenty of wine options with something for everyone's budget and taste."
