My wife, daughter and I decided at the last minute to dine out Friday night. Our first choice was McCormick and Schmick's. There was absolutely no problem getting a table. After an awesome drink at the bar (Perseco and sangria...delicious), we were seated. Our server was excellent; very friendly and competent. Her friendly face late on a Friday night was welcomed. All of our meals were perfectly prepared. Our daughter is a certified chef with a 4 year degree in culinary management. Needless to say, she is very particular about the food she consumes. In her words, "My meal was absolutely delicious!" We cannot wait to return.

Party of 6 for birthday. Bottle of zinfandel ($38) & was only "ok" to the 3 drinking it. Appetizers (calamari & shrimp kisses) were ok tho very skimpy portions for price ($13 & $14). Good walnut mixed green salad. One diner wanted bone in ribeye & "not available" Sunday night. 3 of us had "Dinner special" & sides were way sub-par: barely warm & gummy/gluten mashed potatoes; unremarkable, oddly flavored small "shrimp scampi", mixed veggies heavy on zucchini. Roasted cauliflower bland. Dessert of molten lava chocolate cake was unremarkable & NOT a molten lava chocolate cake like any we've ever had before-solid chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream? Second time dining here & we will not return. For same $ we can find way better elsewhere.

My husband and I have been trying to get here for dinner to use a gift card he was given last Christmas. We finally made it this past weekend and I have to say, it was worth the wait. My husband had the lobster bisque which was beautifully presented, had plenty of lobster was creamy and delicious - don't be shy about the price, if you like lobster bisque, you need to try it here. I had the shrimp trilogy and all kinds were very good, the rice needed more seasoning but with all of the other flavors from the shrimp it didn't end up being that bad. My husband had the bone-in ribeye, he said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had! It was perfectly cooked and the quality of the meat was commendable, again - it's worth the price!

We visited after seeing King Lear in the city. We were celebrating our son's first quarter success at college. Emma, our server, was courteous and prompt and helpful. While there was energy in the air the restaurant was amply quiet enough for a conversation. Food was very nice especially the Tampico Shrimp appetizer.

We've been to M&S for drinks and appetizers but this was our first "dinner". Happy to report that we were not disappointed. The Chef's Dinner offered us a good choice of soup, entree' and dessert. Started with their clam chowder which was flavorful and rich without being excessive. Followed with the Tender Beef Medallions & Scampi Style Shrimp and Salmon over Pasta for our mains. Plated beautifully and more than enough of a meal (but not so much as to require a doggy-bag). Desserts were more than enough to share and getting two (Crème Brûlée and Molten Chocolate Cake) made it easy to switch half-way through. Service was attentive with a good cadence. We'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious - salad with kale, beets and carrots was creative and refreshing. Enjoyed the parmesan encrusted flounder (could have used a little less breading though). Side of green beans was great too. The recommended wine on the menu was a great choice. It was nice to get a sample, and the wine was terrific! The server seemed new and could have been more knowledgeable but was pleasant and gave a great dessert recommendation. Really good experience overall for our anniversary.

Had a quick late lunch with just soup and Oysters and white wine. All was good except the Lobster Bisque was way too salty. That was removed from our ticket Clam Chowder, the 12 Naked cowboys (oysters), and Napa Sav Blanc were very good. Service was exceptional.

This was our first visit. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered a wedge salad that was very disappointing, with the issue being the blue cheese dressing that was not very blue cheesy. Our fish was fresh. My wife had the butternut squash orzo, and had maybe 3 small bits of squash. My wife was supposed to have almond crusted Idaho rainbow trout, but the almonds were few and far between. I had the pan seared Idaho rainbow trout which came with mashed potatoes and zuchini and summer squash. My wife asked for butter because she does not like butter spreads or margarine. No butter in the house.

We were celebrating my wife's birthday, every drinks we ordered we were told that they could not make it because they did not have a blender and other excuses, we had to make alternate suggestions, this sucks because we were not able to get our favourite drinks, we had to leave and go to another establishment to get them which ultimately cost us way more than we budgeted for that night.

I've been to this McCormick & Schmicks before and had a good meal but somewhat average experience. Their Mgr. showed concern and asked if we'd return. We are glad we did. This experience was excellent for a special occassion with my family of 4 (wife's Birthday). Our waitress, Danna, was energetic and attentive without being overbearing. the meal was worth the price and everyone one of us thought it was excellent. I am glad we returned to M&S and we will be back in the future.

We drove 40 miles to celebrate my lady's birthday. When I reserved it, I had noted and asked for a simple request, to put a candle on her desert at the end of dinner. I called the same day to confirm the reservation and my request and I was assured it was there. Yet, when the desert came. there was no candle and I had to ask for that and that spoiled the whole surprise. The waitress did check the system and it was there but whoever was in charge of doing this messed up. John

Sunday eve reservation for 4, maybe 25% of the tables were taken. Waiter was friendly but highly inefficient: 10 minutes wait for cocktails, after another 10 minutes coming back to find out he forgot the lemonade for my son, then bringing wrong lemonade and trying to talk my son to accept what he has brought... He never asked if we wanted another drink after the cocktails to accompany the food. Continued slow pace until end of dinner. Bread was cold, 3 small pieces for the 4 of us. Starters and Fish selections were really good, but rather small sized, the NY strip steak was ordered 'medium', but it came closer to well done. I didn't claim it since I didn't want to wait for another 30 minutes... Rather pricy experience which I won't repeat.

I was expecting more when I booked this restaurant for a party of 12 to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. The table was ready and it was a nice touch to have his special occasion printed on the menu. The atmosphere was congenial and our server did a nice job keeping up with our drink orders and requests for extra bread, etc. Unfortunately the food was just average, considering the price. We were especially disappointed with the oysters (very small!). The portions for seafood items in general were small and, in my opinion, average in flavor. Also, there was no special token dessert to honor my dad. I have eaten at a McCormick's in another city and was very impressed with the food. This location did not live up to my expectations.

We had a bad experience two months ago with a cold entree. The manager called and when we dined there again, they sent a complementary appetizers to us. Our meal was going fine till my mahi mahi came out and was frozen! So frozen I couldn't cut it. Yes, frozen at what I assumed was a fresh seafood restaurant. HAD to call the waiter over who was gracious. Wouldn't you think they would have taken extra care with our meal since we had a problem on the previous visit? They re-made my entree(which was delicious) and comped a glass of wine for me to sip while I waited for my replacement. They also comped dessert, (I'm diabetic so I didn't care about dessert) but I expect a restaurant of their caliber to at least comp my entree if not my meal.

We waited for our main course for about an hour. The server kept apologizing that they were understaffed. At the end of the meal, the manager came by our table to apologize and offered to give our kids free dessert, but we already paid the bill. It would have been nice for the manager to come to each table and tell us that dessert was complimentary if they wanted to make it up to us for the slow service. We have eaten here many times before, and the service is very good. We will come back, but I feel that we were not compensated for the slow service. We are also a Landry's Select member.

My husband and I are always on a hunt for a new seafood restaurant to try. We had never been to McCormick & Schmick's. Service very prompt. Only problems we had was with the bar however we did not complain. My husband asked for a margarita. Not a frozen margarita. Just a regular margarita. It took awhile to get the drink and our server told us the bartender was trying to work something up. I ordered a glass of merlot. Not a cheap glass at all at a cost of 12.50. It had the flavor of wine that had been in an open bottle for a week or two. While the food was good, we didn't feel that anything on the menu stood out as different or something we can only get at McCormick and Schmicks. For this reason we probably would not go back.
