  • "My wife and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary because we had dined here several times, and always had a great dinner. We love the seafood options and they always have fresh selections to choose from."

  • "This was our 2nd time at the Oakbrook restaurant. Tried their 4th of July special. We were seated immediately but waited approx. 10 minutes before anyone came to the table to greet us. The waiter took our order but then we were passed to a waitress because supposedly he was about to punch out. We noticed that the waiter was still serving tables after passing us to the waitress. It became a disaster after that; appetizer order was not put in by the waiter/waitress, food was room temperature, portions were much smaller than advertised. Male waiter came to apologize; thought you were going home?? Did not feel comfortable at all. We ate at the downtown restaurant and didn't enjoy that experience either. We are done!!!!"

  • "I ordered the steak and lobster. Lobster was cooked to perfection. It's the best I've had in a long time. Steak was excellent as well."

  • "I have eaten at this chain many times. My first however at this location. My family's meal was great. My swordfish was horrible at best. Tasted like someone poured a pound of salt on my plate. Had the service been decent, I would have ordered something new. When the waiter finally checked on us the rest of my party was just about done eating. We were there on July 4 and the restaurant had 6 tables being served so it wasn't like they were very busy. Service was VERY slow. The manager did offer free desert to the 3 of us but I would have liked at minimum that my wife and I had our 2 drinks comped as well but mgr said that couldn't happen."

  • "Very bad slow service. The server was rude Place was empty now I know why. Their are to many options to be treated bad"

  • "Dining at 1:00 on a weekday provided a perfect, off-peak opportunity to dine Al Fresco on the lovely patio overlooking greenery and a pond. Being slightly removed from the traffic on 22nd Street and all the nearby stores at Oak Brook Center and Yorktown, it provided a perfect respite for a leisurely lunch. We enjoyed the 14.99 specials. My husband had the salmon, rice and green beans and I had the fried fish/shrimp and fries. Both entrees came with large salads. Service was excellent. Prices reasonable. We'll be back."

  • "I was a nice meal with good friends. The calamari was very good, but the wine was not cold. The halibut was good. Our waitress was a little too enthusiastic."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "I was disappointed in the service. The food was good but pricy. Our waiter acted as if he did not want to be there. He brought our soup and salad and bark do you want bread and butter with that?"

  • "Good consistent sea food and very good service. Not cheap but fairly good value."

  • "There has been some recent reviews of poor service. I actually think the service was pretty good. The hostess was super nice and put us in a nice booth. The waitress was very nice, too, and attentive. The food did come out fast and I did not have any complaints there. I ordered a filet, but I think the portion was rather small for the $$ compared to others. It was cooked perfect, but the meat was very bland again compared to others. I wanted steak and have had good steak here before, but the steak was bland and the portion size was small overall."

  • "Food was quite good as usual. However, restaurant was not at all crowded for Friday night. I think you would get more business if dinners weren't so pricey. Perhaps you could offer some less expensive entrees; even half orders."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "The trout was not as good on Wednesday as it was on Sunday."

  • "Upon arrivlal we waited 7-10 mins for the hostess to return. Once we were seated we another 10-12 mins before a waitress came over. I asked about a chicken entree that was emailed in an advertisement for that resturant because I didn't see it on the menu and the manager came out and basically told us that corporate is sending out emails of specials without our knowledge. That should've been my sign to leave, but he said the chef could fix it, so we stayed and the service was down hill from there. Sara continued to disappear for long periods at a time and focus on a bigger party. Hector was training with Sara and tried to accommodate us, but he had to follow her. I had to approach the hostess about finding my waitress for the check."

  • "We went on Fathers Day and the restaurant was not too crowded. Somehow, although there was no line, lots of open tables, and we had reservations, the two hostesses couldn't figure out where to put us. It took them about 10 minutes to seat us. They weren't impressive. The waiter wasn't impressive either - it took us 20 minutes to get drinks. Both of us had the copper river salmon, and it was awesome. We have been to this restaurant several times and, generally, the wait staff has been quite good. The food has always been very good. We will go back, but not for a while."

  • "We went to McCormick & Schmick's in Oak Brook for Father's Day. We sat outside and it was perfect. Our waitress -- wish we'd gotten her name -- was spectacular. The food was spectacular, as was the setting. Can't say enough about this place and will definitely be back -- soon."

  • "I don't know if it was a bad day or not, but our service was very poor. Our waiter took over 10 mins before even coming to the table. He was very forgetful with what we had ordered. The AC must have been off because it was very hot in the restaurant. There was no circulation of air whatsoever. I was fanning myself with my daughters children's menu and the manager came over twice to pick up plates and never once mentioned that the air could have been broken or apologizing for how hot it was in the restaurant. An acknowledgement of conditions would have been nice, but nothing...."

  • "My friends and I greatly enjoyed our time at McCormick and Schmick's. We had hoped to dine al fresco but the day was a bit chilly so we opted for inside. The food was delicious . . . the Lobster Cobb Salad absolutely fantastic! The food and ambience, with a bit of quiet (our reservation was at 2 p.m.) made for a delightful time to visit, catch up and enjoy good food, spirits and conversation. Wouldn't hesitate to revisit this location."

  • "Started the evening with shrimp kisses. Filet and stuffed shrimp were delicious. Skipped desert but finished off dinner with a lovely Proseco Sangria. I'm becoming a bit of a Sangria snob. Most places seem to chintz on the fruit. M & S did, too. That was my only disappointment but it seems to be the norm out there, not the exception. Not a real biggie, just a bummer. We'll be going back."

  • "I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening with my husband. We were lucky to find a spot on the outdoor patio as the weather was perfect. Our server was knowledgable and friendly. We did have to ask for him to come to our table twice but it was a busy night. The food was decent, not quite worth the cost though. I had the Seafood Trio which consisted of 2 small grilled shrimp, two stuffed shrimp and a piece of salmon. The seafood was fresh and cooked well but I couldn't eat the stuffed shrimp because they hadn't been deveined (yuck!). The red pepper mashed potatoes were outstanding and we both enjoyed the lobster mashed potatoes. Overall a nice night out but the food was definitely overpriced."

  • "Food portions small,no soup or salad with the entree price.Asked for bread....a small piece of bread the size of a large roll given for 4 people.Coctail pours extremely small for price. For a large nationwide chain,I was surprised at the lack of value.By 10pm on a Sat nite, the place was empty!Price for restaurant greater than $$."

  • "Such a disappointment. Took nearly 20 minutes to receive our cocktail order. My daughter had a bad oyster that smelled like sewage. The manager did apologize, but the item remained on the bill. Other meals were fine, but I found it over-priced. Never again for us."

  • "Went there for my girlfriend's birthday and this place did not live up to my expectations. Once we were seated, we waited at least ten minutes before someone came by to check on us. Our server was very polite, just a little dumb. We had to ask for bread. We ran out of water during our meal and has to ask twice for it; and when that didn't work, we asked another server. I have never waited 20 minutes in a restaurant for a glass of water. I had the fish which was very good and my girlfriend had the Strip special, which was over-cooked and not up to par with restaurant steaks. The dessert they brought her for her birthday was a nice touch. I'm sure I will eat at another one of these in the future, but not the Oakbrook one."

  • "We recently went for dinner with our daughter and baby. The staff was very accommodating trying to get your Grandson comfortably settled in. The waitress knew the menus and answered several questions and described the specials very well. We enjoyed a very nice meal and visit with our daughter with just the right wait staff involvement."

  • "We were disappointed in the meal we had at McCormick & Schmicks. I had the Rib Eye and my wife had the Tilapia. The fish was mediocre at best and the steak was way too salty and a bit chewy. We have dined here about 10 times and the last two meals were disappointing. Not sure we would go back. "
    Dined on 5/25/2014
  • "Food was good, but the server did not seem to know much. He didn't know the specials. Didn't know that the meals came with potatoes, so we ordered a side we didn't need. Didn't know how to make change either. We have dined at M&S in other locations and they were fine. This was a b-day dinner so a shame we got the trainee who didn't seem to be trained. "

  • "My family is very picky, but they gobbled up all of their food. Portion size is decent, you'll be full but don't expect a doggy bag if you eat like me. A little expensive for lunch, about $20-40 per person depending if you get a drink or soup/salad; but totally worth it especially if you want a nice, quiet restaurant with good food. A great pick for a special occasion."

  • "I have a lot of food allergies and dining out is always a challenge. When I mentioned them to our server, she sent out a chef, who walked me through the menu and helped me find some good options. He suggested some combinations that would work for me, and even something that wasn't on the menu but that they could make for me. When the food came it was excellent. The restaurant was also comfortable and quiet enough that my husband and I could easily have a conversation. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. "

  • "We had reservations and were seated in a prompt and friendly manner. The food was very good. But the service was poor. It took 20 minutes to receive a drink. Then when you needed another, no one came to follow up. We had soup and an app. which arrived promptly and was very good, but it was another 1/2 hour before our main course arrived. We have dined here before and never had this problem. Maybe it was due to the holiday. The food's quality will have us trying again."

  • "The crabcake mash which accompanied my scallops was tough and undercooked. My strawberry icecream pie was hard as an ice cube. My previous experiences at M & S were significantly better."
