  • "The service was good and meals so great tasting. The location is nice at National Harbor."

  • "My family went to McCormicks with another family. The food was great. The service was good. Everything went well until we got the bill. Quite a bit of "sticker shock" but I guess its ok. Even with how nice everything was, its not a place I'd go to more than once a year for a very special occasion or something."

  • "This was our 4th meal in the area and by far the worst. My fish was dry, my business partners steak was over cooked and tuff. The service was good and prompt, but the atmosphere was quite loud."

  • "Made a reservataion for six people. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. The waitress took our drink order and we also ordered appeti. ers. I had the Iceburg Wedge Salad which was very good. The blue cheese dressing was excellent. My friend had the calamari which he said was very good. For dinner i had the lump crab cakes with a lemon butter sauce that were excellent. We were stuffed from dinner so we had no desert."

  • "The lobster bisque alone is worth the trip. Really superb and I've had lobster bisque from a lots of restaurants and on cruise ships and this was the best I have ever had. I also had the cashew crusted tilapia, which had a wonderful crusty breading but the fish was too mild in contrast."

  • "The service was very slow...the server was overloaded with too many tables to server. Very disappointing. My salad came with ingredients not listed on the menu, why? Not happy with my salad for that reason. My husband said his steak was ok, but not worth the price."

  • "This restaurant was recommended by friends. I ordered the trio of salmon, grilled shrimp, and baked stuffed shrimp. A nice side of mashed potatoes and green beans/carrots accompanied the dish. Everything was perfectly cooked. I would go back again!! A little on the pricey side, but all in all, very good."

  • "Our waiter was Casey was AMAZING. Simply put our food was horribly made, OVERPRICED for the value and not up to par with other that I have tried from this restaurant chain. Ice cold Creme Brulee, ridiculously small portions of a menu special item (three course meal), Seafood Stuffed Salmon that was filled with an immense amount of red peppers and artichoke hearts; I wondered if there were truly "seafood" in the so called "seafood" stuffing. To add insult to injury, I tried emailing the company a detailed letter after my dining experience to inform them of my food service and have yet to receive a response. They should at least acknowledge the fact that this is not standard practice for their brand and they are striving to do better."

  • "Overall I enjoyed the meal I had the (fried shrimp entree). However, my lobster bisque was cool/cold. Didn't eat it. I have had it before and enjoyed. Perhaps it was the late dining hour or not (9:00pm)."

  • "I celebrated my birthday there with my family. The food was great and so was the service. I recommend this place for family outing, and celebrations."

  • "Blue crab dip was amazing. I ordered a steak to be cooked medium and received it cooked well done (too hungry to send it back). It was still good, very well seasoned. Everyone else in my party enjoyed everything also."

  • "If you are looking for a crowded & loud place, you've found it. Food & service were fine. Noise level made it impossible to have a conversation. Popular location so lots of people in the bar or waiting for a table. I'd pass on this one & try one of the other places in National Harbor."

  • "I'm a fan of McCormick & Schmick's restaurants (the one in Reston, Virginia is highly recommended); I cannot say the same about the one in National Harbor; the hostess didn't listened and confused our reservation making us wait for 20 minutes unnecessary! The waiters were Ok and friendly; but this location is subpar to the one in Reston in all counts (ambience, luxury, service, even food). When the sun hits the windows, some drapers didn't work and most people suffered from the sun rays, etc. I wouldn't recommend it, and it's a shame as it has a very nice scenic location."

  • "Our first time at McCormick & Schmick was so enjoyable and delicious that we went back again while we were in town! We wanted to have some local seafood and a nice dining experience and were so impressed with our dinner and service that we went back on our last night in town! The food was delicious and the service just right. Our son had swordfish for the first time and said it tasted of adventure and my husband had blackened grouper and was very pleased with the preparation. The atmosphere was inviting and both of our waiters were attentive and had a good sense of humor."

  • "We waited over 45 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. The restaurant should not have made a reservation if it could not honor the time. Additionally, one person in our party has difficulty standing and utilizes a cane. This is why we had a reservation to avoid waiting time. However, once seated the service and food met our expectations."

  • "The waiter was excellent. catfish jambalaya was wonderful. The grouper a tad over cooked, but tasty."

  • "Service was bad. Very slow to get drinks, water, wine. Crab cakes were the worst I've ever had - mostly bread and not much crab. I expected better here in Maryland."

  • "i found the restaurant to be nice and clean and decorated with wood and dim but not dark ambiance. Ordered the Fillet and Stuffed Shrimp which were both made outstanding. I wish there were more to the meal as i finished it all and could have had more. My date had the mixed grill with stuffed shrimp, grilled shrimp, seared scallops and salmon. It looked good. Its kind of pricey 150 for 2 with apps and entree with a drink apiece.. i would come back for a special night or on the smaller priced side of the menu."

  • "We had reservations for 6 on a very busy Sat. pm. Thank goodness we did because it was an 1.45 minute wait! First, we were taken to a table for 5, but no worries, our 6th person was a baby, but could we please get a high chair?-sigh. Two waitresses later, we finally did. Unfortunately, neither waitress seemed to be assigned to our table because no one ever returned to check on drinks or bring bread-sigh. Fortunately, a passing waiter (Brandon) asked if we'd been helped. While in theory we HAD, we'd seen hide nor hair of anyone, so we asked him to be our server. Interesting because we were seated at a table in the direct path of the servers' entrance to the kitchen-sigh. He was very efficient. The food was not hot & portions small-sigh."

  • "We love this restaurant chain but the service at this location is worse than what you would expect at a Ruby Tuesday... The staff is overwhelmed. We had dinner Saturday night and hosted a group event Sunday. I didn't think service could be worse but it was! Terrible!!"

  • "The restaurant did a great job for how busy it was. It was slammed. With people waiting and almost every table full. But with our reservation from OpenTable, there was no wait while walk ups were being told 1 hour. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. It even came out rather quickly."

  • "Our reservation was for 6 people for 4:30pm. There was disorganization at the front desk. The wait for the table was until 5:00pm, but since some of our party were later than that it worked out okay. The service for drinks was somewhat slow but the food service was timely. And it was worth waiting for. Appetizers of Crab Tower and Shrimp Kisses were yummy. All of us raved about our entrees: Almond encrusted Trout, Stuffed Shrimp, Bay Rockfish, and swordfish. Even the sides, red roasted mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beens were great. Desserts were fab too. And we ate every bite! Complements to the chefs."

  • "The restaurant food and service was fine but the location on the lower lever is not easily assessable to people with difficult in walking that distance but I will come back if I missed seeing another way to the entrance."

  • "We made reservations to celebrate our anniversary. Well, we purposely arrived early to avoid to have a few drinks before dinner. We were told that the bar was at its capacity and no one else would be allowed to enter the bar area. If we wanted to wait, it would be a 30 minute wait. For a drink. WHAT?? So we stood by the door waiting for our table. After 10 minutes a sever with a tray walked by and spilled soda all over myself and another patron waiting for a table. The woman blocking the entrance to the bar not only did not apologize for us getting drenched, but never even made eye contact. She just stood there and watched the server clean the spill. WHAT??? We were later seated, enjoyed the meal and service, but I doubt we will return."

  • "Despite a mix up in our numbers we were seated promptly. The food was excellent and our server was attentive but discreet ( Brad?? ) Our one complaint was the noise level which was extremely high-not conducive to conversation. We enjoyed everything but the decibels!!!"

  • "Our seats, food and service were terrific! Are bill was corrected immediately after a minor mistake. It was my mom's 84th birthday and she loved the menus with her name on them."

  • "Great place, not as fancy as you would spect it. Low key and casual...but a good atmosphere at the harbor."

  • "Family visiting for the holiday enjoyed the food. Ambience in the restaurant and around the National Harbor area was great with view of the wheel and river. Prices above moderate, but service is top of the line. Brad was fantastic."

  • "7/7/14-Reservations-5:P-Arrived-4:55P-Many empty tables- seated behind the cash register and the kitchen door (probably the busiest booth in the restaurant, other than the front door!!) Much activity/noisy - including pens/pencils banging on the back of our booth. Mitchell - excellent waiter."

  • "The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. We had an enjoyable Sunday birthday dinner. The noise level was low enough so that I could whisper sweet nothings to my girlfriend."

  • "The food is average at best (and therefore overpriced). The service left everything to be desired. BUT dining while watching the sun set was beautiful."

  • "We've dined at this location several times but this was challenging. No idea there was an event at the Harbor - huge crowds made getting served very difficult. Our party of five was very patient - we were there 2+ hours - no appetizers or dessert, just drinks & dinner. Good news - food as always was excellent. Bad news, with our reservation, still took time to get seated as staff tried to accommodate numerous walk ins. Our waitress was kind but assigned way too many tables. Saw her only a few times with looonnng waits to have order taken, drinks and dinner served, and then a very long wait for the check and final copy of cc slip."

  • "We had a party of 10 for lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious. It was the best crab soup I've ever had. We did have a substantial wait for the food. However it was worth it. Nice seating and great table. Clean bathrooms. It was important to make a reservation in advance as it was crowded. I did find it rather noisy. I would go back. It was a little pricey but you can find a few less expensive options for lunch. I had grilled trout. They offered to make it three different ways. The bottom of the trout was a too salty, but it was fine if you did not eat the skin. It was delicious. portion size was perfect for lunch."

  • "We picked this spot because it was on the water. Reservations were made through open table after the website was reviewed. It did not indicate you could not reserve outside seating which we stated we wanted when booked. Upon arrival we were told no outside reservations. We sat for 15 minutes and were not waited on. Tables seated after us were being waited on however. We finally said something to the hostess and she seemed to be annoyed at our complaint. She was not friendly. Our waitress came too our drink and food order without writing anything down. As you would expect she messed up. She forgot what glass of wine we ordered. The food came out warm not hot and was edible. We definitely will not go back or to another location."

  • "As always the food is outstanding at m&s. The view is beautiful on the water. However, the service was slow. The restaurant seemed to be slammed, which may account for the service level. I was glad I made a reservation so we did not need to wait to get a table."

  • "McCormick and Schmick's usually have good service but on this day they were extremely busy and service was subpar. The food was good but a little pricey. I would recommend going back but only for the bar scene and Happy Hour."

  • "The food was fair. Our steak was overcooked and both meals had to be sent back. After being sent back it took over 15 minutes to get our steaks back. Waitress was very good and did her best to keep things moving. Manager on duty came to our table and asked how things were going?"
