What does "open table" mean?5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe started with a calamariWe started with a calamari appetizer, tempura-like, as it had vegetables in it. Well prepared with a tasty tomato based sauce, I thought it was excellent but my wife preferred all calamari. She ordered a new menu item, shrimp and grits ($22), prepared differently than usual, this time in a light barbecue sauce. The grits were excellent, shrimp were plentiful, but the sauce was sweet. Adding a few drops of hot sauce would cure that. I had an excellent wedge salad, fresh and served cold. It's a simple dish, but this was notable. My fish stew was full of mussels, calamari, and four or five large shrimp in a somewhat sweet tomato sauce. Very good ($28) Waiter was attentive, not intrusive.
