  • Parking Details: Valet is available after 6pm Wednesday though Saturday on the corner of 9th and Nicollet before crossing Nicollet Mall. Ramp parking is accessible between 8th & 9th street off LaSalle Ave, choose from US Bank or LaSalle Court Parking Ramps. We are also connected to the Skyway system.
A word from McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Minneapolis
Unique to Minneapolis, the restaurant has several "snugs" (private booths for six with draperies) in the formal dining room. The handsome interior features handcrafted mahogany, stained glass (depicting Minnesota heritage), brass accents, and Tiffany-style lamps lending a traditional note to the interior.

McCormick & Schmick's also features a lively bar experience, with a bar staff that practices traditional mixology -- hand-shaken cocktails using only bottled sodas, freshly squeezed juices and premium liquors.

  • "I really enjoyed my meal here during my first visit. My scores would have been higher, however, if more common sense had been apparent when seating us. When we arrived, not a lot of the tables were filled and they placed us at this small table where, once my chair was pulled out with enough room to sit, I was sitting was in the way of the staff station for beverages and I felt very in the way. There were so many other places and I felt like I was at the 'last resort' table and it kind of shifted the mood. That table shouldn't even be there in my opinion. I wish the whole experience was as good as the food. "

  • "competition in the city requires staying "on your toes." McCormick is slipping. Service is non-responsive, disjointed. Wine could use some freshening. Fresh Oyster offerings are 70% of Oceannaire. Seems this is a management problem and not an individual problem."

  • "If you like plain, ordinary food, then this is the place to go. I was not impressed with plain white bread and plain butter offered at the start. I wanted rice instead of the mashed potatoes and all I got was a scoop of plain, white rice - no seasoning. The summer squash vegetable was just steamed - nothing fancy. For a nice restaurant with high prices, I would have expected a little more creativity and at least some healthier choice offerings than white bread and white rice."

  • "We really enjoyed eating at McCormicks. The seafood selection was very good. The prices were quite reasonable. I had the seafood trilogy and that was very good. Another person in our group had the shrimp scampi and that too was good. The restaurant is really beautiful inside and is a great place to eat. The bar area looks to be very inviting. The wine selections were also very good and my martini was a big drink and very good."

  • "Very disappointed! Spent over $200.00 for three of us, and the food was only Ok. The off set room from the main dining area was like an after thought, tables lining the walls with a table for six in the center of the room, the canvas fish prints poorly hung on the walls looked to have come from K-mart! The appetizers were good, the lobster cob had one thumb sized piece of lobster for $20.00. Had to ask the manager to put additional lobster into the salad. The main courses, I had the sea bass it was good, It should have been (Wow that's incredible!) for the Chefs choice. The steak and stuffed shrimp, the steak was good, the stuffing in the shrimp was horrible! we had to remove it to eat the shrimp. I'm amazed they have two locations in Mpls."

  • "food and service were great. Ambiance.............not so much. Was intitially concerned about seat adjacent to window next to bus stop. Concerns were justified by people placing their faces against windows and knocking on windows while we were dining. Bit uncomfortable but almost comical. Others in restaurant were turning to see where the noise and commotion were coming from. might want to look into some 1-way film on glass or not seat those tables unless the other tables are full. We were the second table seated in the room so i'm not sure why we were placed in the far corner by the window."

  • "We made a reservation for an early dinner. We had the bacon wrapped salmon with creamy basil potatoes. Delicious. The waitress described the tomatoes in the dish as sun dried. They were marinated fresh tomatoes instead, just a touch too tangy with the potatoes but still good. The denser sweetness of sun dried could have been better. We also had the lobster Cobb salad. It came stacked in a large column of fresh ingredients and lobster pieces in a tasty dressing. We had raspberry sorbet for dessert. We were there for only about 90 minutes. As we stood up to leave, the wait staff were clearing the table as we were putting on our coats. Waiting until we had walked away would have been better service that didn't make us feel rushed out the door."

  • "I had the pecan crusted flounder and my wife had the pistachio crusted trout. Both were very good. My orzo and butternut squash side was a pretty puny portion, and it was almost cold, in comparison to my wife's of the same item. Not worth sending back, as the fish was just the right temperature, so I wanted to eat it right away. I would still go back to M&S, as it's tasty, even though expensive ($60 for lunch, we shared the walnut salad, two soft drinks, no dessert). It's a special occasion lunch that we do twice a year, total."

  • "I love this restaurant's food! They ship their seafood in fresh and you can tell in the taste! Whenever I am in a town that has McCormick & Schmick's, I try to eat there. I tried something new this time - the Stuffed Salmon. It was beyond delicious! Very flavorful, cooked perfectly and made to please! I did not have very good customer service this time, but it is the first time ever so don't let that deter you! If you are staying in downtown Minneapolis, it is very convenient to get to as well!"

  • "We went for dinner before a theater event. I'm vegan and called ahead to ensure they had options for me to eat. They said the vegan chef would make me a special dish which was a pleasant surprise! Upon arrival I mentioned I had called ahead of time. The waiter was informed and took care of my meal order from there. The other 3 in our party fully enjoyed their calamari appetizer and seafood dinners while I enjoyed my vegan dish. I was very thankful to be able to eat a healthy balanced meal before a late night show!"

Seared Sea Scallops with Tomato Pesto, Crab Potato Hash, Sautéed Spinach and the special menu Grilled Cobia are creative blend of flavors, unusal but tasty, enough to compensate for the saltiness and/or greasiness of the dishes, a consistent theme for 6 other main dishes that we have tried."

  • "We wanted to treat our 22 year-old son and his girlfriend to a "birthday" dinner. At short notice, another friend of our son joined the group. We were casually attired (sweaters & nice jeans) and felt comfortable in the dining room among others dining and the staff. Wait staff was engaging. Overall, the feedback from those in our group was favorable relative to the food. The NY Strip was devoured by the friend, the Horseradish encrusted Steelhead was nicely prepared without a strong horseradish presence. The Sea Bass, while a specialty, was a bit on the rubbery side in texture. Would go back."

  • "My husband and I ventured here to have a nice dinner randomly. Our appetizer (lump crab tower) and soup (lobster bisque) were both absolutely phenomenal! However, both of us ordered steak and both of our steaks came severely under-cooked - not something I'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber."
