  • "We visited this restaurant the first time. The fish entree was well prepared and came with potato and vegetable. Our entrees were Arctic Char which we have not eaten for a long time. It has some similarity to salmon. We enjoyed our meal and proceeded to drive another 10 miles to attend the Symphony. We would return to this restaurant,"

  • "Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night after doing some shopping. We were dressed casually and we're treated very rudely and basically ignored because we weren't dressed as nicely as most of the people around us. Our server even passed our table off to another waitress because she didn't even want to deal with us, thinking she probably wouldn't get a tip from the casually dressed couple. The food was sub-par at best, portions were small and the seafood did not taste fresh at all. Everything had a very strong fishy taste and smell to it. Pretty expensive and definitely not worth the money. Not a good dining experience all around and we will not be back."

  • "I have been before with large, private groups and had great service and food. This time, our waiter tried too hard, 2 pieces of silverware had to be sent back to be cleaned, we had to ask to order drinks, we had to ask for small plates for appetizers and bread. The food was ok, but not spectacular and they were out of 2 desserts. Overall it was just not great."

  • "I liked the atmosphere, the high stained glass ceiling; very cool. Our waiter was very good; explained the menu, handled questions professionally yet showed his personality and sense of humor. There were four of us in our party and we all had seafood. I had the stuffed shrimp w/crab. Very good. I also enjoyed the mashed potoatoes with red pepper and cheese; different, very tasty. Two others in our group had scallops and one had the stuffed salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Will definately be back."

Our waitress must have been assisting another table when our food was ready so another staff member brought it to us. It was steaming hot and so delicious! The variety of items to choose from every day is different and unique. Another perfect dining experience at McCormick & Schmick's!"

  • "I enjoyed my first time visit at McCormick. The staff exceeded excellence, they were all considerate, and available. The clam chowder was outstanding, as well as the complimentary bread. I am always confused when I attend these chain restaurants, because they never serve real butter with the bread. I loved the salmon i had ordered, but wished I had ordered it simply grilled and not stuffed. The brie/crab/shrimp mixture was over the top and too rich, it overpowered the salmon. The potatoes were cold, and not hot like the rest of the dish. The vegetables, which were carrots and green beans were cooked perfectly but were drenched in too much garlic and butter. My partner had the lobster bisque, which was exquisite."

  • "This was our first time here and we were well taken care of. Our waitress, Jackie, was very attentive and helpful. I had the stuffed Salmon which was delicious, my husband had the parmesan encrusted Flounder, also very good, and our guest had the Cobia which was a special. He also said it was very good. It is a little pricey but we were not disappointed in the food at all. The lobster bisque was delicious but, at 12.99, it was too expensive. We will definitely go back again."

  • "My husband and I selected McCormick and Schmick for a small family celebration. There were 4 of us--all adults. We were seated on time, but, on Open Table, I'd made a request for window seating--we ended up in the central platform with no view. Also, I'd made it plain in the reservation that there were 2 things we were celebrating--a birthday and a 35th wedding anniversary. I was really disappointed that the restaurant staff did NOTHING to acknowledge either of these events. NOTE TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: Many restaurant operators enjoy the opportunity to cement relationships with customers by acknowledging special occasions. This is not on the radar for McCormick and Schmick. Try a Bartolotta restaurant for the next occasion."

  • "I write this review with regret because McCormick and Schmick's was always one of our favorite places to eat. This Saturday the meal was a nightmare. The tuna tartar was fishy though the ahi tuna appetizer was very fresh and delicious. The recommended mahi mahi entree was dry and tasteless and the corn hash underneath was tasteless mush. This always was a nice place for fresh fish but I am very hesitant to go back. The table across from us complained and the manager spoke with them and gave them a free meal. If it wasn't a special occasion for us I would have made a fuss too. So sad..."

  • "We were running late, twice, for our reservation, which they held for us, no problem. They actually thanked us for calling to let them know. The ambiance is great, you can have conversation without being overheard, but the restaurant is not silent. The menu is very extensive, with seafood, burgers, sandwiches, fish, meat, poultry, you name it. Reasonably priced for what you receive. The waitress was great, and the experience was great. We'll be back soon!"

  • "We had gift cards to burn up and thought we'd use them on Valentines Day. Am I glad we had those gift cards because I would be disappointed if I wasted my money here. I ordered the Filet Mignon, cooked medium, it came to the table still mooing in the center. Additionally, since it was a special occasion, I decided to splurge for the add-on Lobster Tail for another $19.99, I was again disappointed when it was delivered to our table. It was the size of a shrimp, it was dry and it was cold, not what you expect for a $20 add-on. I thought that we whole menu was over priced after tasting the pricier options on the menu. I enjoyed the Clam Chowder at the beginning of the meal, also the drinks where very good. Should have gone to Outback."

We were served bread, without individual bread plates or a knife to cut the bread. Vegetables were barely cooked. Hope this was not your usual service."

  • "Been to other M&S, but this one lacked the ambiance, service and quality of food preparation. King Crab was split by hack in the kitchen who destroyed the meat by cutting too deep, and the steak was significantly overdone when ordered medium rare. Service was fair, but that is all. It was a busy night, but staffing levels did not appear to be the problem. Rather, service was simply inattentive. Not what was expected for a M&S or similar class of dining."

  • "Server not genuine, said "my pleasure" about 55 times, ran out of rib eye at 6PM, had to make a another choice. Made mistake in entree vs appetizer, waited a long time for the entrees to come out, party of five, fifth person had to wait extra 10 minutes for their entree, it was not done, as they probably rushed the order to get it out of the kitchen. Our party decided that we would not go back. Too pricey for what was offered. From start to finish we were there for 2 hours and 15min, not by our choice, this is just how long the service took. Manager or someone was running from table to table analogizing for everything. He came to our table twice. If we would have had the shrimp kisses appetizer and left, we would have been happy."

  • "Tthere was an echo when we talked due to the dome shape of the main dining room. So, I do not recommend for business luncheons where you would be discussed sensitive information. WE asked the waiter about it, and he did say it picks up conversations so you hear them across the room like you're sitting next to us. Not ideal for business lunch."

  • "Not sure what to say......before booking I checked out a number of online review sources. At best they rated this place OK. None the less I have been to other locations, recalling a positive experience. I meet a colleague from work for diner, he had King Salmon. Don't recall his comments one way or another. On the other hand I had the signature encrusted flounder and it was greasy, overcooked and tasteless. Other than that it was fine. Good thing we order a bottle of wine to cleanse the pallet. Should have believed the reviews!"

  • "Sorry but wow! The service was bad, some of our food was cold and when they kitchen 'remade' our potatoes, they tasted like they were microwaved and dried out, one of the tap beers was flat and the server didn't take it off of our bill! A manager never came to our table to check on us or offer to try to make our dining experience better. I doubt the server told the manager anything that was going on. I guess in the end I wasn't surprised that there wasn't a wait to get a table at 7:30 on a Saturday night."

  • "Atmosphere was nice. The bar looked nice, but we didn't sit there. Our table was nice. My husband had salmon that he liked. Our salads were okay. I ended up ordering shrimp stuffed with crab. I don't like crab, but that was the closest I could get to a shrimp cocktail which they didn't even have on their menu. If you like seafood, I guess try the place. But I couldn't believe that they had no shrimp cocktail which is my favorite way to eat shrimp. So much for my New Year's Eve dinner this year! Apple upside down pie was delicious- good that it filled me up since I gave the crab that my shrimp was stuffed with to my husband. I don't think that we will be going there again unless we both want to eat salmon."
