McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Los AngelesSerene DiningEnjoyed the entire experience. The parking structure was easily accessible, the elevators and signs guided us quickly to the appropriate floors. The restaurant was quiet, efficient and relaxing. The entire group of 6 enjoyed our meals, portions were appropriate and tasty. To close off our meal we shared a few deserts and these too were great. We also enjoyed the outdoors space and took some pictures. Great experience.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNice lunch spotGot there early, and was seated immediately. I really like the private 2-person booths. I had the lobster cobb salad. It comes composed -- each ingredient separately layered and pressed into a cylinder. The compressed tower of salad is put on your plate, and then you sort of mash it down and separate it. It was a bit off-putting, because the lettuce was shredded. But the salad was delicious. I was very happy.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dining experience atGreat dining experience at a beautiful downtown LA location. I plan to visit other locations soon!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful dining experience! The service and cuisine was absolutely outstanding! We requested my favorite dinner entree for lunch......the scallops on a bed of spinach and potatoes with tomato pesto.....and our server was gracious to grant our wish.....as always, the scallops were exceptional! Please add this entree to your regular lunch menus!!!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the few places I haveOne of the few places I have been to where the soup actually comes out HOT instead of just warm. Two thumbs up for that!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMHas it allBy request can get private "booth" for two couples, etc. lending privacy, quiet, good conversation level, etc. The service is great and food especially fish dishes excellent. Recommend highly. Easy transport to events at Dorothy Chandler, Ahmanson, etc.
It is also huge restaurant for large parties.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great experience:What a great experience: fabulous food, service and convenience for our Music Center show.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place To EatLunch was really good and the employees were very friendly. Looking at McCormick & Schmick's everything was wonderful.
Unfortunately parking for my guest cost $27.00 and she was very upset, so I paid the parking bill, but she suggested she would not eat there again because of the high cost of parking in the area. Anyone looking to eat at the Los Angeles McCormick & Schmick's should be careful when parking in Downtown Los Angeles, some of the Public Lots charge as much as $3.50 every Ten Minutes and the signs are not posted clear and these are automated lots with no attendants at the entrance or exit, which can be confusing.
Overall, in my opinion, McCormick & Schmick's is a great place to do Lunch, Dinner and business.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was especially busy thatIt was especially busy that night. Seemed like they were short staffed that night, not sure if it was unexpectedly busy or someone called out. But even the maitre de was serving the food. Was disappointed our favorite waiter had to tend bar instead of providing his usual excellent service in the restaurant. Food was very good, service a tad slow. As this was not the usual experience at this restaurant, I would still recommend this restaurant as a excellent spot for pre-theatre dinner. Good value.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for dinner before the showWe let the waiter know we had tickets to the theatre, so he made sure our entrees arrived quickly. I had the salmon rigatoni in pesto cream sauce which was delicious. We all enjoyed our dinners and I'm sure we will go back for pre-theater dinner again. It's so conveniently close to the Music Center and Disney Hall.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMprivate booths are good forprivate booths are good for business meetings
Happy Hour is good3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMM&S is a consistent diningM&S is a consistent dining experience. The servers are attentive and the service is fast, which is nice as we generally go here before the theater. The seafood is quite nice. I had the Ultimate seafood plate with two kinds of shrimp, scallops, and a nice piece of salmon, all prepared well, and not overcooked. My wife had the Trilogy Plate, which was also prepared well.
The valet parking which included a bus to and from the theater is a real concenience.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Customer serviceWe had a great waiter who took time to speak with us and guide us in menu selections.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were disappointed in ourWe were disappointed in our food. We had been to McCormick's in Washington DC and it was so incredible that we decided to go here for our 37th Anniversary since we were going to The Ahmanson. My husband's trout was dry and the vegetables were overcooked. I had the Ahi Tuna and it was delicious but no sauce except soy was presented. The giner was pink instead of white and the seaweed salad was a scoop. The service was incredible. Our waiter made up for the mediocre meal3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was quite good. Service was very good, except getting the bill was slow. Go figure.12/19/2012 12:00:00 AM
