We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and enjoyed our evening. We decided to partake of the $1 oysters in the bar - very good with a price tag to match. What a deal. Our server was Rebecca and she was wonderful. Knew the right time to ask for our order and then gave us time to enjoy the meal and conversation. We have eaten at McC & S several times and have never been disappointed. The bar was very quiet this particular night because of the world series. I have been in this bar other times and it can get a little noisy. I would recommend this restaurant.

Best part of the evening was that we were seated promptly at our reservation time. Went downhill from there. Felt like we were sardines in a can sitting near one end of the restaurant at a 4-seat table. Barely enough room to slide your chair back to get out without disturbing an adjacent table. Our waiter gave us plenty of time to place our order. Our food was brought out by another server and the next time we saw the waiter was when we were finished eating. Water glasses were empty for the entire dinner. We opted to pass on dessert, but he brought us one anyway. Water glasses remained empty. Had the service been better it may have helped make up for the bland, over-buttered , over-priced meals we both had. We won't be back.

For her birthday, took my wife and a friend to Mc&S for dinner. The Shrimp Kisses are great, as were the drinks. My wife had the seared scallops, our friend had shrimp, and I had the McCormick Trio...all were great. Mc&S is one of my wife's favorites and we always enjoy the food!

The ambience and interior were very cool and beautiful. Service was excellent and overall the meal was great. However, my beef filet medallions were not impressive. It was dry and chewy even though it was cooked properly at medium temperature. More like a sirloin than a filet. I am also surprised that the restaurant serves only choice beef rather than prime, especially for the prices! My lobster tail was perfect as was the bernaise sauce. My wife's meal of salmon was perfect. Overall, a very nice dinner on the Plaza!!

We had reservations which they "couldn't find" in spite of the fact that they had called earlier in the day to confirm. They seated us anyway. The atmosphere is attractive and the seating comfortable. The waiter was friendly and attentive but the kitchen was slow. It was at least 30 minutes from the time we placed our order until the food came. We had no appetizers and only one salad. The kale salad was good. We had three entrees, the grilled mahi mahi, the herb crusted Alaskan halibut and the shrimp scampi. The mahi mahi and halibut were excellent, the shrimp was overpowered with garlic and oil. Desserts were also mixed in quality. We will probably try the restaurant again, but I don't think I could recommend it after that experience.

Food was over cooked, and the Aspargus was not fully ripen. Ordered sticky rice from menu but the did not have. My steak was supposed to be medium rare but was a little more than medium. The crab legs my wife had were over cooked also. Our servers were good and food arrived in timely fashion. Its to bad for the food and I understand that everyone has an off day, but for the price you pay you should get better food than you would get at Red Lobster or that Outback.

I received an email on Friday, October 3, 2013 promoting a steak and lobster special. My wife and I specifically made this reservation to try this special. (And this is after a less than perfect experience during our previous visit in June.) After we had ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer, we attempted to place our order. We were told that there were no more lobster tails. I understand previously a large group ordered most of the allotment of lobster tails, and that someone was at the local grocery store buying more lobster tails even while we were dining. Why was this not done before Sunday morning? The "fix" for the restaurant was to offer a free dessert. Really? And this is after a discussion with the server and GM.

We love McCormick and Schmick's. The service is always excellent and there are a couple of food items that I love so much that I haven't tried anything else. On Sundays and Mondays they have a steak medallion and lobster tail special for $25.99. The medallions are great and the lobster is as good as any I have had, and large too. My husband always gets the Atlantic salmon and likes it. The chocolate bag dessert is expensive but delicious. The ambiance is great, there is a beautiful, huge stained glass dome over the restaurant and cozy seating so you don't feel crammed in next to a bunch of people. I also saw some private curtained dining areas with one table each next to the desk. There is also really nice outdoor dining with music often.

We went to celebrate my son's 15th birthday and had a wonderful meal. Started with the calimari and shrimp kisses. YUM!! We all had fish entrées and, while each were delicious, we decided that my husbands blackened Mahi Mahi was the best of them all. There were no left overs.

We've enjoyed McCormick & Schmick's very much on prior occasions but this experience wasn't up to its standard. We had reservations in advance. We were greeted not with a smile but by a harried hostess who never made eye contact. We sent back our cups of crab corn chowder as it wasn't hot enough. The main courses were very slow in coming out of the kitchen, and scallop meal was very tasty but again, not hot. We hope this was just an off night. Thank you.

Our waitress and your wait staff especially in the bar area including the bar tenders are ALWAYS really friendly and when they can quite talkative. I have reviewed M&S before and had very bad experiences and posted online about them. This time we had a great time, food was great! my wife had the Tilapia and I had the Salmon, both cooked to perfection. we ordered a side of brussels sprouts and they were fantastic. Our server was great but it got a little busy in the restaurant so service slowed down a bit, no problems we weren't in any hurry.

Disappointed in overall service. Reservation for party at 8:15pm, didn't get seated until 9pm and then the service was slow. Food was average, expected more for the price. I had the parmesan crusted flounder and it was boring. Side dish of asparagus for $7.99 was small and the presentation was poor. It's too bad because the location and decor are wonderful. I've had much better experiences in the past. I would go back for a drink and spend more time in the bar area.

The service and attitude of the staff was disappointing. We started in the bar while waiting for our table and was frustrated all night. The bar server was rude... The service (not necessarily our waitress) at dinner was horrible. It took 5 minutes to get our appetizer, but 45 minutes to get entree and they forgot to bring our salads in between. The food itself was excellent.

We come to McCormick & Schmick's for special occasions, such as anniversary, birthday, holiday. They do have a shortened gluten-free menu and can work with you on dairy-free options, so coming to eat with dietary issues is not an issue. The wine list is extensive, and while the bar is available for Friday/Saturday evening options, it is on the other side of a middle section wall; the noise level is kept at a minimum.

Our experience at McCormick & Schmick's was really outstanding. I am not good at remembering names, but the server really knew his stuff. I am just amazed at how he remember each of our orders without writing it down, and did not make a single mistake. Ours was not his only table either. I love the way the Medium Well Steak turned out. We were all treated as important . This is something we can not do very often. The money for this was set aside from the inheritance of my Mom's estate. It was so relieving to be treated so well. This was money well spent, and I only hope the tip above and beyond 20% showed our appreciation.
