I had the scallops with crab hash and spinach and it was excellent. We also shred the calamari appetizer which was also excellent. The waitress was well versed in suggesting the wine choice when asked. The peanut butter pie was very good;although, it would have been excellent without the drizzle of carmel all over it. Great street view - this is a very active and fun part of the DC scene. Our waitress immediately asked if we wanted drinks and they were delivered to us within minutes. The Menu - WOW- the menus have so much to choose from, we took a few minutes to decide. The appetizers were delivered within minutes-and were great!!! The entrees were hot and wellcooked-and very, very good. Everyone loved the food. The desserts were to die for! Very creative and not the "same old DC dessert menu"-take a look online at their menus and you will see different fare than elsewhere! Sunday afternoon (before dinner and after lunch) so there were no crowds, though I'm sure Sundays are probably light in terms of crowd anyway; we were seated immediately. I ordered the ribeye and it was juicy and flavorful. My husband ordered the filet mignon with an add-on lobster tail (only other surf and turf option was steak medallions and lobster and he wanted a filet). He complained about the size but thought it was cooked well despite this. Solid meal; no complaints from me.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe fish entrees we orderedThe fish entrees we ordered were good not great. They were fresh, but lacking in flavor. Part of it was that they didn't oversalt their food, which is really great and I so appreciate, but it was otherwise bland with no other flavoring. My husband's parmesan encrusted flounder had no parmesan flavor and was very greasy. The service and ambiance was excellent, although we sat near the bar, which was noisy. We have eaten here a lot, and it is usually better, so we will not stop coming. I ate at the Bridgewater, NJ location and the food was a much smaller portion and terrible (overcooked). Food is very good our waiter Vinnie, was delightful and knowledgeable about the food and wine list. As the night went along and busier he was spread very thin amongst his tables. The bar staff had trouble finding the bottle of wine we selected. I gave the food a very good and not excellent due to the fact I feel the portions were on the small side for the price you pay. but the food was superb. The coast to coast tuna appetizer was outstanding. Three of us got the King Salmon special with an arugula pesto over asparagus, perfectly cooked.
