  • "We always have an excellent experience here, and our latest outing was no exception. Impeccable service! Our waiter was fun, engaging, and most helpful. We ordered from the special anniversary menu, and had one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We started with the Thai Curry Mussels - yum! We both ordered the rib eye entree, which was topped with lump crab meat and Hollandaise sauce, served with asparagus and a delicious potato mash. Steak was cooked perfectly. Terrific meal. No room for dessert, sorry to say."

  • "I made reservations with the idea there was a fixed menu for the day, steak, potatoes, asparagus, etc. When we arrived and mentioned this to the reservation desk when they gave us several menus, I asked about the menu that I made the they said NO they did not have a special menu. When our waitress came over, I asked her the same thing, she said no. I found it on my phone with the reservation confirmation, and they said...Oh....upon passing the front desk they asked how was the meal...I explained great but two girls just shrugged, another lady, when I passed by again was talking to them and telling them that was not right. Good Food But just a disappointment they were not in the know!!"

  • "The M&S Fathers Day Special reminded me of my favorite meal decades ago at Begue's in the Royal Sonesta--French Quarter. The only differences were that instead of petite fillet mignon the steak was New York strip and the sauce was Hollandaise instead of Bernaise. My request for Bernaise was easily accommodated. The wait staff was superb, suggesting a bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer that I would never have considered but thoroughly enjoyed. The steak was cooked to perfection -- a little more than medium rare but not quite medium. But the crab was not the lumps as in the picture advertising the special, but a mess of shredded crab in a little condiment container. That was the big flaw in an otherwise fantastic meal."

  • "Came for dinner with a couple of friends. For appetizers, we had the coconut shrimps and stone crab claws. The coconut was too sweet and took away from the shrimp flavor. The crab was fresh. For the main entrees, we had the cedar grilled salmon, boneless ribeye, and seared ahi tuna. The ribeye was flavorful, but a bit tough. The salmon was overly sweet, and the portion was quite small. It came with some arugula topped with a grapefruit dressing that was bitter. The tuna was nicely cooked, and came with a nice cucumber salad, but the sushi rice tasted like it had too much vinegar in it. I had creme brulee for dessert which was rish and creamy. Overall, it was ok, but wasn't as expected and definitely not worth $200. "

  • "We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at McCormick & Schmicks. This isn't another chain of mediocre seafood restaurants. Both of our dishes were cooked perfectly and only missed being sublime for want of a bit more acid. If you like lobster bisque, definitely get some here. I could happily eat it for a week! If you have room for dessert, you might want to consider sharing one. The chocolate espresso cake was huge, but very tasty."

  • "First visit. Overall, the food was good (not excellent, but good). Pricy; but I knew that before I went ($66 + tip lunch for two, w/no bar drinks). The lobster bisque and strawberry dessert were excellent. But, the way the iced tea was handled left me with an annoyed feeling, souring the whole experience. When my glass was nearing empty, I was politely asked whether I wanted a refill; to which I replied "Yes, thank you". This, of course, meant that I had "ordered" a second iced tea. Now, $4.00+ is already too much to pay for for iced tea. But to be charged for two refills (without alerting me to the fact that I would be charged extra for them) is the sign of a "cheap" restaurant (and I don't mean "inexpensive"). "

  • "On special days like this it is beneficial to make reservations or have the Landry's Card to avoid the long wait to a major eatery. Service wasn't as fast as normal but understandable with the amount of people celebrating with family; the staff did an outstanding job backing each other, great teamwork. The food was so good I wished the portions were bigger, but that's just me being greedy. A Big Thumbs Up and I'd recommend the restaurant to anyone and everyone."

  • "I have always enjoyed McCormick & Schmick until this last visit at the Uptown location. We had reservations, and our waiter took our orders, served salads, and was never seen again. Other servers brought our food, and not a single server refilled our water, asked if we wanted more wine, or offered dessert. After 30 minutes, we went to the hostess to report the issues. Then, they brought the check out with several extra items that we did not order. Needless to say, we talked to the manager, who ended up actually discounting our check. However, if a server has to leave suddenly, it seems obvious that the table still has to be covered; especially on a holiday like Mother's Day."

When we arrived promptly at the time specified, we were told that we would have to wait because there was another alrge group waiting to be seated. The place was understandably busy, but having to wait when we had made reservations was not a good way to start out the evening. We have been here many times, and the service was less than we expected. Maybe the busy Mother's Day could be an excuse, but you would expect them to be extra attentive on special days. "

  • "I was told about the restaurant I was so excited it was new. We arrived earlier because it was a Mother's Day weekend so we wanted to be there in time didn't matter we were told the table was not ready out reservation was at 415 we were seated at 445. We were a table of 8 , only 6 got water no refills for the majority if the meal. We finally got water at the end of the meal our waitress was not there did we need any thing she would come and go back to the back where ever she was the was more important than our table! At the end we never got our salads pre ordered but was promptly charged we were chared for drinks we did not order and for refills we did not get. When I advised management it was ok sorry come back to see us really???NEVER "
