The hostess, Charlene, was so gracious and took us to a private booth for our business lunch. It was perfect! Not too secluded but just the right amount of privacy for our purpose. The service was excellent from the waitstaff, as well, and the food was delicious! This was my first time to eat here and will definitely return!"

  • "My spouse and I were expecting an upscale dining exp and were both disappointed. Admitted, this was during restaurant week and our expectations were a little high. The restaurant lacks elegance starting from the host to the server. They were both friendly and the server seemed engaged with his work but he will only do what the mgmt expects from him. You would not expect a server to bring food for multiple tables at the same time in this type of restaurant without a tray. so when you see the soup stain on the side of the bowl, u cannot entirely blame him. when they charge you $30+ for an entree then I do not expect menus handed out on a sheet of paper a proper menu is required. The positives: The food was really good."

  • "We went during restaurant week so we got to sample from the starters, main, and desserts. The crab and corn chowder was excellent, as was the watermelon salad. The crabstuffed shrimp may have been our favorite at the table, but the steak medallions were also very nicely done. To top it all off, I had the molten chocolate cake that has strawberries on it - the freshness of all of their produce may have been the best part of the meal. The watermelon in the salad was also perfectly sweet. Overall it was a great experience - good drinks (wine and a strawberry basil drink), good seating (we had spacious booth - probably helps to make a reservation), a pleasant and helpful server, and nicely timed arrival of the different courses."

  • "We eat at Landry's restaurants frequently, but this was our first time to McCormick & Schmick's. We went for Houston Restaurant Weeks to benefit the Houston Food Bank. The food was good, but not fantastic. I am told that is unusual, so we will give it another try. The service was not great as they pulled our waiter from the main dining room and put him back with a banquet, not entirely his fault, but somebody else should have been assigned to our table. Steak very over-cooked first time around, but the chef quickly took care of that problem which was much appreciated."

We had a booth with a curtain, which my son thought was awesome, and the food was perfect. The chef and manager came to our table to wish me a happy birthday and to make sure we were having a great time and the food was to our satisfaction. Our waiter was the best, thanks Jack! I can't wait to go back again! If I could give more than 5 stars I would."

I was looking for a nice place to eat with good food and decently priced since my wife and I are taking a trip for our anniversary in a few weeks. After looking online at the menu I knew this was the right spot. The evening was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was spectacular, and we enjoyed a nice night dining at this restaurant. It was also nice to see that they had printed our names at the top of our menu and it said Happy Anniversary. My steak was great & the stuffed shrimp my wife ordered was off the chart. Being a Landry' Select Club member had it's perks too."

  • "Consistently good food and service. This restaurant is in the Galleria area of Houston and within walking distance of several hotels. Our party was seated immediatly and we had excellent service all evening. The oysters were fresh and plump, just the way you would like them. All of the entrees were tasty and well prepared. My pecan encrusted trout was good but it was presented over quinoa and vegetables in a fish broth. A little too much broth as it diluted the flavor of the fish. I thought the menu was reasonably priced considering the venue and high level of service. Overall a very good experience."
