They even phoned for our hotel shuttle and came and got us when it arrived. Restaurant was quiet (no /TV's in dining area making for a very quiet atmosphere. Definitely would return."

  • "I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant (downtown location) the other evening with my son and husband. Our server was so polite and attentive to us. He was very knowledgeable about the food when we inquired about it and he made great recommendations to us. Our server was very tuned in to our needs as we ate and throughout the visit. My husband had the bone-in rib eye, my son had the swordfish meal (one of the specials of the day) and I had the redfish with the shrimp scampi. We loved the food, everything was delicious. We had the pecan pie for dessert which was also wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great meal!"

  • "Our food was bland. That is the reason for the two stars. We arrived at 5 pm during the happy hour. The bar was busy,nice and loud. So at first it was hard to hear my family talking to each other. The noise level did decline later in the evening and it was pleasant. Our waiter provided excellent service. The restaurant was clean and decor was nice."

  • "Had a great dinner here, on a Friday evening. We loved everything ordered. Will definitely recommend the Crab Cakes and the Lobster Bisque. Our service was very good. We enjoyed the dining experience. The only complaint would be the dress of some of the patrons. If you advertise as business casual, take reservations, and it is a Friday evening, should you be observing people in jean shorts and a t-shirt?? If they choose to dress that way ask them to dine in the patio or at the bar. Otherwise, state your mode of dress is anything and everything...the homeless are welcome...I have no problem with any of that...just do not try to pass off as a fine dining establishment and have many patrons dressed like they are at Burger King."

  • "Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. We went to McCormick & Schmick's before the BB King concert, as we couldn't get into the restaurant at the House of Blues. The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable. Even though they forgot one of the four ingredients from our Ultimate Mixed Grill, it was brought out within five minutes of our mentioning it. And it's a good thing they did - those missing scallops were incredible!"

  • "I visited M&S for dinner prior to a show at the Hobby Center. We were a little late due to walking from our parking location, but were seated promptly and with care. The host and wait staff were friendly and attentive. I'd like to see more wines by the glass but they have a reasonable selection. We had a starter and salads followed by main courses (seafood naturally) and the strawberry shortcake. We both enjoyed everything."

The only thing I would potentiall change about the restaurant would be that there were a few more diners. Perhaps slightly lower prices, or intriguing deals / offers would bring in more diners."

  • "My wife and I had an anniversary dinner celebration at McCormick and Schmick's Houston-Downtown. The hostess greeted us and gave us anniversary wishes. The Lump Crab Tower was delicious with chopped Mango and Avacado. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and it was delicious. The green beans were cooked just right. My wife ordered Blackened Mahi Mahi with Avacado Pico De Gallo and it was very tasty. Lance served us a complimentary, celebratory chocolate dessert for two. He made sure we were out in time for a play at Hobby Center. A note of disappointment was that Happy Hour drink prices are only good at the bar, not at our table. This is not noted on signage about Happy Hour. "

The service wonderful, food suggestions insightful, and the food was very good too. A bit expensive, but expected. Would definitely come again. Convenient location downtown with parking near by."

  • "This was the first Mother's Day I spent with my mom ever. There may have been one or two as a child, but surely not since the age of 10. Almost 20 years later, I decided to take her to McCormick and Schmick's for a nice brunch. Our server (older guy) was fantastic! His calm yet professional demeanor was great and the food is to (not die, but close) for! If you die, you can't eat it, right? At any rate, the food, drinks, service and overall experience was worth it ($200). My cousin says I was being cheap!! Go figure!! I advise anyone go even if he/she/they have NEVER been. I had the Ribeye and my mother had the Seafood Trio--her first time trying salmon and she loved it--with a few drinks and some Strawberry and traditional cheesecake!"

Our first table was right next to the kitchen entrance - very noisy and we were staring into the dish crew. We were reseated and another large group was seated 12 inches from the edge of our table.   • "We selected M&S for a fine dining experience, having heard much about it. My wife had a Caesar salad (acceptable), grilled red snapper (good but a little dry). I had lobster bisque (excellent) and panned seared red snapper (again, good but a little dry). We shared a crème brulee for dessert which was very good. What spoiled the evening for us were some of the people who were seated very near us and their dress. One couple, rather shabbily dressed (he wore an ill-fitting worn out golf shirt, shorts and sneakers) and a woman with her two teen children (he wore a "wife beater" shirt, shorts and flip flops, she had flip flops and very short shorts. These people were dressed for Denny's. Does M&S have no dress standards? Disappointing."

  • "We went Easter Sunday and the food is was great. Our terrible waiter was Lorenzo and he seemed unfamiliar with the menu. We ordered a calamari appetizer and asked for sauce on the side, very rudely he stated he thinks it's all made together and that the chef cannot do that. Then minutes later brings the dish with sauce on the side. My 90 year old grandmother in a wheelchair asked for a kids menu and was informed she cannot order off the kids menu. While ordering our entrees we asked for an omelette with no onions and was informed rudely once again that he thinks that it's all made together and the chef cannot do that. Once again minutes later receiving the dish with no onions. He was rude, inattentive, and unfamiliar with the menu. :/"

  • "There is a signficant construction project going on at the Pavillion, and there was a big jackhammer truck right outside our window table. Really a pity because the food is always good, and it is usually a good place to have a business conversation. But the jackhammer was just awful. Fortunately, it started to rain so the construction project was halted for the afternoon."
