My family & I had a very nice dinner at McCormick & Schmick El Segundo on Saturday night. Two of us had the chef's choice stuffed salmon. The entree was beautifully prepared & everything was delicious, including the vegetables & mashed potatoes. My husband enjoyed his seared ahi & others liked their steak and corn chowder. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. I was especially pleased since 3 family members were visiting from Hawaii. They were delighted w/ the restaurant.

Although this was a night to Honor Veterans, it was a wonderful night of food and wine. McCormick and SchmicK's laid out the red carpet as I would say. I myself originally had a party of two, but something came up and I was alone.. While waiting I meet two female Air Force Officers without reservations. So I asked them to sit with me since we had already been siting and chatting. I asked the Maitre d' if this was fine and he said sure. We had the best server, his name was Guillermo, he was very courteous and polite and punctual. The ladies had never tried my favorite appetizer ad McCormick "The Lump Crab Tower" so I ordered o for us. They were immediately fans too. Best night ever! I love McCormick & Schmick's.

On Veteran's Day (actually, the Sunday before) the food and service were quite good considering the mob of veterans getting a free meal (including me). The crab corn chowder is great. We frequent this restaurant several times a year -- mainly because they recognize veterans' contributions, especially the draftees who earned $92.80 per month in Vietnam and deserve at least a free meal occasionally. The fish are always fresh and prepared however you choose.

Impressive how well the restaurant managed the free dinner offered to vets, they advertised thoroughly to frequent guest resulting in a substantial turn out. They handled the entire process with grace and professionalism. The meal choices were several and my husband really enjoyed his fish and chips. There were so many vets, we had time to speak with some and another was passing out patriotic pens, really well received.

My only complaint is that we had a reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The front desk was chaotic but the food and service of our Server was outstanding. We will return but not when there is a big holiday or free giveaways. We still managed to have a great time honoring our Veteran's for the Veteran's Day dinner.

We were here on the restaurant's generous Veteran's Day promotion. It was very busy. We had a reservation and only waited a few minutes even though the lobby was full (yeah - Open Table). Nice table and our server was super busy, but service was good. Our food came out very timely and all 4 of us were happy with our orders. Best I think was the Salmon Rigatoni. Thanks McCormick & Schmick as two Veterans enjoyed the complimentary meals and a 50% off a bottle of select wine.

Salad and entrée arrived at the same time and before my beer arrived. Had to remind server to bring my beer. Roasted potatoes were not cooked properly and raw. The salad dressing was not mixed in the salad and was lumpy. A very bad meal. I'll never eat at the El Segundo M&S again.

We went on a Sunday afternoon with the expectation of having the 3 course special. It happened to be the celebration of Veteran's Day at the restaurant. We were given a special limited menu. Upon inquiry about other menu options and letting the server know we weren't veterans, we were given another menu, but it still had limited offerings and was not the full menu. We were unable to order the 3 course special. We made our selections accordingly and we were pleasantly surprised. First of all the lemonade was the best freshly squeezed we had tasted in a while. Enjoyed our appetizer, meal, and dessert. We left full and satisfied. I really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese with shrimp and andouille sausage.

I am impressed with how beautiful the El Segundo location is. From the valet to the host to the waitstaff everyone was very customer service oriented, and professional. I like that this location has ADA accommodations as well, and was being utilized. Nice mix of clientele from those in their 20s in their shorts, to the after Sunday church goers, to those in jeans by the bar. Everyone was treated the same. Thank you for a great meal for Veteran's Day 2014.

I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner. The service was excellent and the food perfection. I made the lunch reservation on line and told them it was my friends birthday and after our delicious lunch of clam chowder and fish and chips with shrimp from the "Special Lunch combo" on the menu they surprised my friend with a delicious warm devils food cake with hot fudge sauce and cream topped with a candle. It was the BEST birthday lunch ever ! It was so nice not having to whisper to the waiter it was my friends birthday....they already knew due to the reservation I made online at "Open Table."

I love this place. I could eat here everyday. This restaurant never fails! The manager here was very attentive. The server was great and knowledgeable. The host who sat us was very knowledgeable and friendly as well. We ordered the lump crab cake as an appetizer (YUM)! Try the shrimp kisses, that is an awesome dish. We also ordered the albacore and the mahi mahi. We dined pretty late and they didn't have any more halibut. Cinnamon ice cream for dessert! Their chocolate bag is great. If you haven't given this place a try....you really have to!

I've read other reviews which are hard on this place. But we found the service and food to be worth the money (and it is more expensive than a typical steak/fish house). I recommend ordering from the seasonal menu. This place is also decent for people using Paleo or Ketogenic diets. Plenty of fats, meats, and non-starchy vegetables to choose from.

We arrived at the restaurant at 4:15 PM and were seated in about five minutes. We told our waiter that we wanted to order right away because we had a child and wanted to finish before she got to tired. Well it took one hour and forty five minutes to finish our dinner. We had Salad, main dinner and dessert. It should not take almost two hours for a meal.

    Dined on 9/20/2014
We made a dinner reservation, requesting a booth, and arrived on time. We were told a booth would require an additional 20 minute wait, which we agreed to, since two in our party are hard of hearing and booth seating helps them to be able to participate in conversation. After waiting 45 minutes, and still not offered a booth, we took the next available table and suffered through a noisy meal. The manager was of no help. His response was "everyone wants a booth." This restaurant used to have many booths, and removed most of them during their most recent remodel. Note: McCormick & Schmick's has declined considerably since being bought out by Landry's, closing locations, reducing hours, and providing less generous frequent diner perks.

Vestibule – Pleasant greetings and prompt seating away from the bus station as requested Service – I’d rate the service as good though servers’ table appearances were minimal. Had to engage other staff members for basic assistance that should be the responsibility of the primary server. Food – Appetizers, walnut salads, and NE clam chowder were good (as expected). The disappointments were in the entrees. Salmon Panzanella (Chef’s Choice) and Salmon over Pasta lacked flavor/absence of seasoning. My entree, the Blackened Swordfish, was exceptional. Despite this one visit that seems out-of-family, I do plan on returning to the restaurant.
