  • "beef that I ordered was very tough did not eat it very disappointed in the quality of the beef served. quality very low for the price. no hostess available to greet and seat us upon arrival waiters just stared at us standing waiting to be seated. staff poorly trained someone should have stepped up immediately to greet us. waiter efficient not service with a smile or proper attitude only friendly gesture, such as a smile, received was when he got his tip. no thanks for coming or come back soon. will not judge to harshly over one visit will return maybe being ignored and stared at put us in the wrong mood, did not feel welcomed at all. will not order beef though will stick with seafood portion of menu."

If it weren't for her we would have left."

  • "I usually end up at a M&S location 4-6 times per year while traveling on business. I have felt for some time that the chain lost some of its quality when it was acquired by Landry's. Its similar to past years but not "quite" as good. Regardless, you will normally get a pretty good, quality meal at an M&S, and occasionally very good meal. In my opinion, its just worthy of being called a "great" restuarant.."

The seafood selection is second to none and the staff is always professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The Lump Crab Tower appetizer was amazing. The scallops were fresh, tender, and full of flavor. The salmon was lightly cooked to perfection. The cocktails ordered (Berry Cosmo & Hibiscus Margarita) looked just like the pictures and definitely did not disappoint. We were seated in a booth by the window which gave additional ambience to our dining experience. McCormick & Schmick's is definitely a keeper."

So, NO, I will not be returning to M&S until it once again becomes worthy. This was a business trip to El Segundo, and I will definitely be looking to other restaurant in the area. To serve Choice Steaks is fine for the outback, Denny's, and other run of the mill chains but McCormick & Schmidt should serve Prime beef if advertised as a steakhouse. Disappointed. I will not return if I want steak for a meal."

My girlfriend had the proseco sangria, which was very tasty. The beer selection ok. I had a batch29, which I was happy with. We started off the meal with lobster bisque, which was so rich and creamy, it was to die for. We all had entrees. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was stupendous. I highly recommend the Lobster Cob Salad! I can't wait to go back and eat here again."

When I was looking for a well reviewed local place to take my husband for his birthday, I saw people saying good things about McCormick and Schmick's. Well, they were right..The food is excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was nice without being "stuffy". They even gave us personalized menuswith a "Happy Birthday" greetings for my spouse, as well as a small desert at the end of the meal...We will be going back."
