McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - EdinaThanks to all for the VIP treatmentWe were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and had a great time with wonderful service and terrific meals!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLoudThe food and service were wonderful but the noise level is terrible. I don't know what it is maybe the high ceilings but it is way too loud. This was the second time I've had dinner at the restaurant and both times the noise level was very distracting and difficult to carry on a conversation. This is not a cheap restaurant and I would expect better.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEdina spotFood was excellent except for the walleye - kind of mushy. Service was outstanding. I have previously enjoyed a booth in this restaurant and it was lovely. We sat a table this time because of the size of one of our guests. It was a bit noisy but still enjoyable.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was fantasticGreat spot. Wished we would have gotten a booth, but the table worked out OK. Food was fantastic. Best swordfish I've ever had. Will come back again.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBest time to go is duringBest time to go is during lunch. Items are somewhat pricey but the food is amazing with beautiful presentation. Worth evey penny!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy timesA great local restaurant with convenient parking. Menu is exceptional. Something for everyone.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMLPetzelWe went to dinner here to celebrate college graduation and landing a great job out of school. They made our dining experience very special, even printing out special menus for us, which was very special and we were able to take home with us. The food was wonderful, especially the scallops, they were cooked perfectly and were HEAVENLY. I say that as a chef myself. Our server was very accommodating and had perfect timing by leaving us to eat once we got our food but was very aware to our needs and did check in with us to make sure everything was tasting to our liking. We left her a very healthy tip as she gave us probably some of the best service we have received in restaurants in the Twin Cities area!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMoutstanding experienceWe took a another couple to dinner Sunday evening and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was exceptional. Everyone, to a person was especially warm and welcoming. Food was excellent as well.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMom was happy!Mother's Day brunch was a big success with excellent food.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchThe ambience and low key Mother's Day brunch was perfect for my family. We were able to take our time and did not feel rushed. The food was just ok. I did like that we had the choice to order from either the brunch of dinner menu. My grandpa had the eggs benedict and it was lukewarm, not hot and it should have been as his arrived at the table a few minutes after the rest of ours. The presentation of the lobster salad was great but it didn't agree with my mom. My brother's salmon was just ok but he said the potatoes and spinach that was with it was fabulous. My grandma did enjoy your shrimp. My family is not picky eaters at all. I enjoyed that it wasn't too loud and that we were able to take our time.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome experienceI made reservations for Mothers Day for 4 adults, including one mother. Although this was a holiday of sorts, M & S was still offering their petite filet and lobster tail was available at the sunday special price ($25). We were treated to exceptional food, very attentive service, wonderful ambience and an overall delightful experience. In additon to enjoying wonderful apetizers, entrees and beverages, we treated ourselves to indiviidual desserts. They were a bit pricey, but totally worth it. I highly recommend M & S for fresh seafood and other fresh dishes cooked to perfection.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was great, foodEverything was great, food was outstanding! Had the stuffed salmon dinner. Only complaint is the piped in background music too loud to hear or converse at normal levels.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were excellent. We asked the server if we could split one of the salads and she was very happy to do it for us. She was very prompt as well with our orders.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe would Have given an outstandingWe would Have given an outstanding but the service was very very slow5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was the best!Had a special graduation lunch for 10. The food was great. The service was amazing! It was an awesome time!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWow! The staff really bentWow! The staff really bent over backwards for us! Great place! You really knocked this one out of the park.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place to unwind!!This restaurant has outstanding food and service! We love dining in the bar in the casual, energetic atmosphere!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMPositive RecommendationExcellent food and service.. One of the best choices in the Twin Cities for seafood.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the lobster and steakWe had the lobster and steak special and split a salad. Portions are generous and the sevice is wonderful. We had a cheaper white wine from their list that was very tasty.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSomething fishy here?Yes it's still a wonderful place to go, but it seems that the prices have gone up considerably and portion size remains ... well, smaller. My wife's sea bass and my walleye had a little 'fishy' taste and this was very early in the evening. The service was excellent as always.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. serviceFood was excellent. service was great. But even though the food is excellent, I think it is over-priced. I believe I can get the same quality meal at other restaurants for a lower price. I would not hurry back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI was a little disappointedI was a little disappointed by the beer list until I asked what local beers they had. Being able to have a good local beer like Summit or Surly was appreciated!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply greatGreat meal, wonderful service = perfect birthday celebration4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server was outstanding. Our server was outstanding. Is an asset to your organization.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday night is certainlySaturday night is certainly more lively, which can explain the less attentiveness than our visits on other days of the week; but it was still good once you got their attention. The tried-and-true items on the menu were good as usual, but the sea bass on the special spring menu left a lot to be desired. There first bite was with the tenderness as expected. Then it just got chewy and too late. The concept for the special sea bass dish was rather creative, but the individual components just did not come together for that dish. Maybe that is a risk you take for items on the season menu. We'll still go back, just not on Saturdays, and will be less adventurous.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place!! Great Food,Love this place!! Great Food, service and ambiance! The apple pie is to DIE for!! We come just for dessert most times as the apple pie is amazing. The only feedback I have is that the kids menu includes an american cheese grilled cheese option. Currently, they only offer a cheddar option, which has a sharp taste and my kids didn't like it. Now they are also Grilled Cheese Snobs, but they couldn't get past the sharp cheddar taste.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place. Dependably aGreat place. Dependably a wonderful dining experience. If you want fish, this is the place to go. Relaxed atmosphere with an attentive service. Our go to place for a enjoyable evening.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLove McCormick & Schmick's...howeveLove McCormick & Schmick's...however the bar service was awful...ordered cocktails and it took about 20 minutes to get them....we figured if we wanted to have more than one cocktail, we needed to order them right after we got our first one....drinks were also not consistent in flavor...
Felt it was the bartender's fault not the waiter...4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFANTASTIC in every way possible! We love the M&S location in Edina. Very easy to get to, convenitent to shopping and free parking (as opposed to the downtown location which I like better but has no parking). GAIU was our server once again (Thank-you Gaiu!) and she is wonderful. Ask for her if you visit. The food and the service are exceptional, we are planning to go back with out of toewn guests this weekend in fact!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFor table of 7 ladies at lunch,For table of 7 ladies at lunch, server didn't bat an eye at separate checks request. The Salmon sauteed with aspergas and mushrooms was simply amazing-can be compared to Pacific NW dishes. Fish tacos won most raves from the rest of the table with the mac and cheese close second. Ranked low in ambience since there was a crying baby at next table.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe server was top notch! The server was top notch! He was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. He suggested the shrimp kisses for an appetizer and they were amazing.
My mom wanted her scallops cooked a bit more and it was not a problem. The manager came over to check on everything to make sure she was pleased. I would highly recommend the restaurant.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMHad an excellent waiter namedHad an excellent waiter named Mark. He was knowledgable, without any arrogance. Great food. For a special dinner, request a booth.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe atmosphere was intimate. The atmosphere was intimate. The waiter was there to please and offered lots of suggestions. The sea bass and dessert (chocolate bag) were incredible. The bread and Ceasar salad were okay but nothing special. We went to celebrate our anniversary and they even wrote "happy anniversary" on our menus.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebrating a birthday dinner.Celebrating a birthday dinner. Overall, a positive experience. Our waitress was excellent - very helpful and dinner was served in a timely manner. Everyone gave the food good reviews with the exception of my Fish & Chips which was overdone. We tried several items from the new spring menu and all were very good.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was exceptional. Our waiter was exceptional. My friend and I both had fish and chips. I was rather disappointed. I think it was quite greasy.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe location and parking areThe location and parking are great-the waitress was perfect and she anticipated our every need before we even asked-she was friendly without being intrusive. The food was delicious and the waitress went out of her way to honor my friends special requests. It was most enjoyable to have the background music so we could hear it and yet not have to scream at each other to be heard-the decor is beautiful and our experience was restful and relaxing--being women we appreciated not having big TV screens hanging over our heads.I have brought my family there for holiday dinners and our experience each time has been fantastic--your menu for young children is the best I have found anywhere in town.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a corner nook for aWe had a corner nook for a celebration lunch. It was very nice. And the chocolate bag was fabulous and great for sharing. I couldn't have asked for a better lunch!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly one not so positive comment.Only one not so positive comment. I really enjoyed the Crab and Shrimp Melt, except the English Muffin was very tough and dry, almost couldn't be cut with a knife. The crab and shrimp with melted cheese was delicious, and the fries were great too. Other diners really like the fish sandwich and fries.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMI thought the food and serviceI thought the food and service was just absolutely wonderful. My family and I had a great experience.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed an Easter dinner withEnjoyed an Easter dinner with our family, great food and great services. Always a choice for special occasions.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMJust to clarify, I am notJust to clarify, I am not a Foodie per se, so I would have loved to see more traditional breakfast and brunch items on the menu for Easter. The eggs benedict was good, but I know individuals in my party would have like more diversity.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMIt always feels so specialIt always feels so special to go to McCormick & Schmicks. I love the white linen tablecloths, the linen napkins, the curtains on the booths, and the beautiful wood details around the room. We brought our whole family for Easter and we have gone alone for an intimate meal. Either way we feel welcome and special. .3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe eat here often. RealizeWe eat here often. Realize it was a busy day, but had requested seating in the main dining room where windows provide much light. We ended up in the dimly lit back room. Wished we could have been in light!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ate there for Easter brunchWe ate there for Easter brunch and we enjoyed ourselves. Although the meat and shrimp was a bit over done it was tasty if that makes sense. I'm thinking with the amount of people arriving, the cook was a little overwhelmed. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We felt very comfortable. We'll go again.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI try something differentI try something different for an entree each time we go, and have not been disappointed. We always have the Shrimp Kisses for an app, whoever came up with that should get a raise!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI have visited this restaurantI have visited this restaurant a handful of times and the service, food and ambience never disappoint. Excellent choice!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMeal was good, not greatThe risotto was a bit crunchy. Sea bass was great. Bread was so/so and nearly cold. Lobster bisque was very thick, like a thick stew versus a bisque. green salad with candied walnuts was good. All in all, I expected more from them. It was an ok meal.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, top notch serviceAs always, top notch service and food. The server was very familiar with gluten free items on the menu and was able to modify my meal to suit my needs. Well trained and attentive wait staff3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent andThe food was excellent and the waiter was very attentive. I liked the ambience and I felt very comfortable. If I lived closer to the restaurant, I would want to go there more often.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time in Edina. We've eaten at the downtown Minneapolis M&S several times, this was our first visit to the Edina location. Honestly, we like this one better -- more open, brighter, better ambiance. Same great seafood. We had the Coast to Coast tuna appetizer, always love tuna tartar. My wife had the tilapia, I had the swordfish casino, and we shared the upside-down apple pie desert. Good quality fish, cooked perfectly, with nice sauces all around. We were very pleased, and will return.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AM
