When I made the reservation I told the hostess we were there for a meeting. She made sure we were in an area where we could hear each other clearly and our conversations were not intruding on others. The food and service were both good. I highly recommend the mushroom flatbread as an app.

Wow! The food did not disappoint. It was worth every bite! The Lobster bisque on mashed potatoes was delicious. The Ultimate M&S Seafood Trio was my favorite. We will definitely come back. We particularly enjoyed closing our curtain on our booth. The simple closing of the curtain made us feel like we had the resturant to ourselves. Thank you for a lovely evening!

My friend and I have been coming to this McCormick's for quite some time. Typically we are waited on by David but that was not the case this time. Next time I make reservations I'll ask to be sat in David's area as he is the best waiter I've ever had. His attention to detail, recommendations and checking on us appropriately is superb. I had the sesame crusted Albacore Tuna which was overly crusted and I was expecting a more rare piece which was not the case. David would have explained that so I would have chosen a different dish. Our waiter on this occasion did not check on us enough in our 1 1/2 hours and we barely had time for coffee. I still love McCormick's and will patronize but definitely will be asking for David as our waiter ;-)

Four friends enjoyed a leisurely Sunday dinner at this lovely restaurant with lots of dark wood and plush carpets. Our food was very good but not gourmet. Our dishes included lobster tail, scallops and a special steak and lobster plate. The steak was juicy and tasty. The lobster was fine but not as excellent as I have had. The side of spinach was a generous portion. Desserts of gluten free chocolate cake and apple pie with ice cream were very good. Service was professional. The cost was $50 each plus tip and this included a glass of wine.

The food was good, but the service was questionable. It took us about 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered and then about another 15 for them to come back to take our order. Other tables that came in around the same time as us seemed to be getting taken care of with no problems, so it may have been our particular server.

My wife and I had our 21st anniversary dinner together here. We both had trout; she the broiled, and I the almondine. We can't stop talking about that fish! It was possibly the best ever, and that is compared to fish from some of the best restaurants in Florida, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The Shrimp kisses started us off right, and a complementary desert was sweet both ways! Only minor complaint was a bad tasting Margherita which they replaced with a Mojito. Awesome waitress!

Short version: Very good meal, excellent service. Yes we would go back. Longer version: We travel extensively, and have been to a number of McCormick & Schmick's nationwide, and this particular location several times. It has always been a solid 4+ stars. I had the wahoo (ono Hawaiian fish), and my companion the rockfish. Very good preparation, and very tasty. By the glass wine list was good. This is one of those consistent "go-to" places that we can count on at the Tech Center.

I was introduced to McCormik on Wednesday night - perfect service, wonderful food, nice wine list. Perfect for old friends, clients, or a date. The next night the hostess could not have been more rude - I was shocked and so was my date. We started to leave but Liz - the waitress from the first night appeared and made the best of a bad situation. This is a very small sample and I do not know which is the norm. I am emailing the manager of the restaurant and the owners

  • Very disappointing in Denver, CO
    OpenTable Diner Since 2013

We were excited about trying the Denver location. However, we were very disappointed in the service and the food. We told the server that our friends were celebrating birthdays, but instead of surprising them with a free dessert at the end of the meal, he said, "Oh, you'll get a free dessert". When we paid the bill, we had a gift card to pay for some of the bill and the server, in front of our friends said, "Oh, you have a gift card?" and then brought the receipt back and said, "I took the money off the gift card." Not necessary. The food was not prepared the way we had ordered it.We do not recommend this location and will not be returning to this location due to the service and food.

We dined at McCormick & Schmick's to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent (especially from the manager, Karen) as was the food, and we received a lot of special attention to deal with a food allergy situation. We will definitely be back as we always have a great experience when eating there.

We went to celebrate a birthday. Ordered drinks but they didn't come to the table until after we finished appetizers. And then they weren't the drinks we had ordered. Apparently the bar had run out of one of the ingredients. The food was good, though, especially the clam chowder.

I got some family together for a dinner with my nephew from NY last week. We brought our 3 year old grandson with us. OUr reservation was for 6:30 and we received our dinner at 8:00 PM. When our food arrived - prompted by a visit to the manager on duty - the order was not correct. My wife was close to getting her order to go since we needed to drop my grandson off at his parents by 8:30 and they live on the other side of Denver. Despite the fact that the manager reduced our bill - by that time our dinner had been ruined. This was not expected at what was supposed to be a quality restaurant!

We ended up eating at a high top table in the bar area due to lack of good seating in the dining room. The food was wonderful, served by a knowledgeable service person. He wasn't overly friendly and I felt like I was bothering him at times. He however, was timely with everything, after the delayed initial table greeting. I will go back and will recommend McCormick & Schmick's as a great place to eat.

McCormick & Schmick's is always dependable for tasty fish and seafood. From the calamari starter to the grilled and broiled main courses, the preparations and presentations were excellent. The wine list is rather shallow, but excellent pairings could be found for everyone at the table. Desserts are uninspired, but we don't go there for the creme brûlée. The air in Denver is cooler now in the evening, but the patio would have been inviting had we come in mid-August. The dining room was quiet, even though most tables were filled (good acoustics). Overall, a very enjoyable evening.

Loved the meal we had here during DRW. For the $30 menu, I had a full sized salad, and a lobster tail/steak medallions with veggies as my main course. The lobster tail was out of this world. I was impressed that the restaurant did not scrimp on the amount of food served during this promotion. The dessert was a delicious flourless chocolate torte, which I loved. The only glitch was that the restaurant ran out of blue cheese for the salad, but both the waitress and the hostess stopped by our table to check and see if it would be OK to substitute goat cheese for it. This was a nice touch and the service was very efficient and friendly. We will definitely be going back!

We had planned to celebrate a personal occasion for some time at M&S and we're pretty excited about it considering my visit to one in Houston, Tx. We ordered drinks and they came out wrong. Ordered the $30 swordfish and it was very, very dry and overcooked. She swapped our drink out and just said sorry about the fish. The other.entree was great and a lot less expensive. Just disappointed all the way around sadly. For $100 You expect better, I do anyway...
