I have been very please in the past with each visit. This time the greeting, seating, and food was excellent as expected. The service was not up to previous visits. When you go to a nice place, pay the prices at a restaurant like this, you expect service to be better. As busy as it was I have to say that the kitchen handled it well.
All of our orders arrived in an acceptable amount of time.
Note to others, do Mother's Day early next year. By 7pm they'd run through all of the scallops AND top-shelf rum. lol
Once again, the crab-stuffed shrimp was to die for.
As far as I'm concerned, that and the scallops are pretty much the thing to order.
My wife enjoyed the complimentary truffles and all-in-all it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Note we had a reservation which was recommended. Our party ordered Citrus Glazed Salmon and Talapia which were impeccable both in appearance and taste. The food is fabulous and well worth the price. The chef's choices are always worth a look as are their normal menu items. The blue crab dip appetizer is wonderfully rich and can easily be shared by a table.

Everything is prepared to perfection - a gentle balance of flavors that doesn't overpower the fish. Very filling. Great wine list. The calamari and muscles appetizers are amazing and huge. Everyone loved their entrées: filet mignon, flounder, mixed seafood grill, stuffed Atlantic salmon. And the desserts were amazing. You have to get the chocolate bag. And the carrot cake is delicious and the size is very generous. My wife loved the Cucumber Mint Martini and the calamari appetizer was enjoyable.
Amongst our orders were the Seared Sea Scallops, the Carolina Catfish, fried, the Palm Beach Mahi Mahi, the Stuffed Shrimp and Stuffed Shrimp the Low Country Shrimp & Grits.
The only real problem started when the waiter couldn't adequately describe the sauce base for the dish. My sister loves Shrimp & Grits and is wary of it being too "watery".
My mom tried it anyway and was disappointed with a thick, heavy roux.
As Louisianians we know roux and that was thick enough for gumbo.

My husband and I had come for dinner shortly after this Raleigh location opened and our experience then was so mediocre, we had not been back. This time the service was friendly and attentive, although our server's knowledge of the wine list could have been better. The calamari appetizer was tasty, with the added slices of sweet potato, artichoke heart & jalepeno giving it some added zip. My entree, the flaming atlantic salmon, which was served sizzling with a mushroom truffle sauce, was savory and delicious. The upside down apple pie which our server highly recommended did not disappoint.
