Diner Reviews
  • "I have had many good experiences from this chain in other locations - Chicago, Reston, etc. However, I will never come back to this one. The food was cold, tasteless, and late."

  • "We have dined at McCormick& Schmick's before and I have to say I don't know if we will return. We ordered from the Spring menu which was a huge disappointment. The Cobia was "fishy" tasting and the orange marmalade atop the Mahi Mahi was the consistency and taste of ketchup...it even looked like ketchup with what were suppose to be bits of mango. Our server did not appear to know her menu when we asked questions and service was slow."

  • "We didn't realize it was prom night, so the place was very busy with big parties, plus the usual. The staff handled the chaos well. Service was still excellent and fast. The waiter was attentive and helpful. Food was good--my husband loved his; I didn't love the scallops, but shouldn't have ordered them anyway--I panicked trying to pick from the gluten-free options. If I'd loved my meal, I'd have said it felt worth the money. As it was, I was disappointed that my sides weren't bigger to compensate."

  • "Excellent service, food and value. Seafood is very fresh and good variety. Deserts and wine list are excellent. Nice seasonal variety."

  • "Just too expensive for what you get. It isn't anything special for the prices. Get the cinnamon bread pudding for desert, it is to die for . Other than that, not to impressive."

  • "My wife and I were provided a romantic atmosphere where we engaged in some very private conversation while consuming great food and a bottle of wine and the service was great."

  • "While we have gone to this restaurant before, this experience did not go as well. The amount of salt in all of the dishes was extremely high. We were made uncomfortable"

  • "This restaurant was Just ok, I wouldn't die to go back, waited for someone at the reservation podium for a good 15 minutes while employees just walked by. The restaurant was not busy at all but yet many tables remained dirty and not cleaned.. My meal was also ok I ordered pasta with shrimp and the shrimp were so small you could barley see them, I don't feel the good was worth the $$$ spent.."

  • "Food not cooked to order. Quality of product underwhelming considering the price."

  • "The best seafood in Columbus (not counting sushi), pricy, but worth the cost. I have never had a bad meal or a bad experience here."

  • "My girlfriend and I decided to try this as something different on a Friday night date night. We typically wouldn't spend this much on dinner-( 2 entrees and 2 drinks +tip was a hundred bucks), but I think the quality of the food was worth it. I had the ultimate mixed grill - scallops on it were exceptional, and in a very close second was the stuffed shrimp. My girlfriend got the chicken pasta and said it was also great. The gruyere potatoes topped it all- creamy and cheesy and super rich. The reason this wasn't 5 stars was we sat right by the door to the kitchen. Although that meant we for to see all of the plates coming out, it also meant it was a little noisier than the rest of the restaurant."

  • "I made the reservation 15 minutes before we walked in and we're seated right away. (7:15 Friday night) Wait staff was attentive and brought our food and drinks in appropriate amount of time. Food was delicious and we will go back."

  • "Hosted a dinner for some business visitors and was very pleased with the service and quality of the food offered. We were seated in a very private room which had curtains that could be closed if desired (which I did not request) and the visitors were very impressed with the atmosphere and quality of the menu items offered."

  • "My wife and I chose McCormick and Schmicks for their great food and atmosphere. On this evening we ordered and appetizer but received something other than what we ordered. It looked good so we decided to keep it. Next our dinners arrived but I didn't get what I ordered, so I waited while my wife ate her dinner. Not sure what happened. I have never had problems at this place before. Still, I will go back."

  • "This was my first time here. I've been to many of the sit-down restaurants in Easton and have always been curious about M&S's. I have to admit that I overplayed the fanciness in my mind - it's quite a bit more casual than I thought. Nevertheless, it is at the higher end of the casual dining experience both in price and in quality. You'll get great service, servers who are knowledgeable at the food and pairings, and a classy bar. Warm wood tones and low lighting is the decorative direction. The food was FANTASTIC. I do wish the music was lower.. the volume and the type of Top 40 music being played was not a good fit. Overall good experience, will be back."

  • "Everything was great from arriving early and getting seated right away to the helpful staff. Food was very good esp. our entries...scallops and stuffed salmon. Would have liked the bread with mussel app. To be toasted and the server forgot our salad. It was not on the bill at the end so we did not need to address and we were more than full so not a big deal."

  • "My brothers crab was way too fishy-tasted old-ineatable-sent it back-his appetite ruined. I shared my Mahi with him. My sister's clam chowder okay-but way too salty-sent back-new cup less salty-but still too salty. she sai here scampi was good but steak medallions were over cooked and rubbery. My blackened Mahi was good. I had been here for lunch before and my experience was much better. I will try McCormick & Schmick again but I was disappointed with dinner Wednesday."

  • "1/2 Food came out Luke warm- Waitress not very attentive. management needs to be on top of food preparation and making sure everything is top notch for the money being charged. My original review was too long- reviewed each entree -but overall not very satisfied."

  • "Nice dinner as usual. Nothing really was outstanding as it has been in the past, but it was still good. We will probably be back."

  • "My husband and I have eaten at M&S Easton several times and eaten at M&S restaurants in NYC and Cincy. We both ordered the same dish - salmon with grilled vegetables. My hubby is easy to please and enjoyed his meal. For me, while the salmon was good (a few bites were a little salty) the vegetables were nothing special and disappointing. We did enjoy ourselves and our service was excellent."

  • "We had reservations for a 4:30 dinner & were seated in a great spot. Rec'd water & my husband's soda & our appetizer & salad. My margarita never arrived & our waiter seemed more interested in talking with his co-workers. The side of potatoes was cold but the dish was very hot--microwaves do this. Drinks were empty for a long time; I was nearly done with dinner when they were refilled. I asked why we'd not rec'd bread; he said he'd have brought it if we'd asked, since we were there at lunch. Wow! Eating at 4:30 isn't0 lunch; we were given a dinner menu w/dinner prices. The bill: I asked him to make sure we weren't charged for a margarita. He apologized for forgetting, then became attentive. We usually tip 20% or more; this guy only got 15%."

  • "Shrimp Kisses were a HIT. Very Delicious! My three course Chef's Selection main entree (Beef Medallions and Shrimp Scampi Style) was strangely unrecognizable--and a major "MISS." The beef medallions were cooked according to my preference but sliced (or not sliced) so it appeared that I just had a solitary chunk of meat. Three (3?) shrimp made up the "Shrimp-Scampi Style" and seemed overcooked and tough. I added a side of the Gruyere Potatoes and was underwhelmed by the bland mashed potatoes. They didn't seem worthy of the menu description or the price. The saving grace was the most excellent Creme Brulee (major HIT!!!). It was DIVINE! I suppose I should have eaten dessert first. Service was attentive and welcoming. Thanks."

  • "My wife and I started off with a glass of wine and a beer. The bread arrived and was room temperature, which I thought was odd. But it was tasty. The waitress became distracted for a bit and didn't return for 10 minutes to take our appetizer order, then another 5 minutes to take our food order. We ordered the calamari, which was VERY good. When my Caesar salad arrived I ordered it without anchovy, and it was too creamy for my taste. For my entree I ordered the rubbed ribeye with lobster mashed potatoes. When the steak arrived, it was thinner than I anticipated and a little charred around the edges. I ordered it cooked medium yet there was no pink in the middle. My wife ordered the parmesan chicken and was pleased with the taste."

  • "Overall two thumbs up. Great food. Restaurant was a little loud thus hard to hear the ladies talk."

  • "No greeting once seated for maybe 5 minutes - Appetizer (calamari) served prior to cocktails - was told they could be put back under the warmer until the cocktails were served - fried food under a warmer/REALLY. Dinners "served" by runners who literally slammed plates to the table - no expression to enjoy; nothing. Advised the server of the deplorable conduct of the runners - she reappears with the "manager"? An offer of desert is made - again "REALLY" - as the empty wine bottle sits upside down in the wine cooler and no one thinks to ask if we would like another bottle - which we did order. $300 meal for 4 with $30 service - someone is dropping the ball here big time - experience lousy at best - too bad because the food is acceptable."

  • "We were looking for good seafood what a pleasant surprise, the oysters were so fresh, the scallops cooked perfectly and the strawberry basil cocktail the best I have had in years."

  • "My only complaint with our experience is that we had made a reservation for 8:15 and were not seated until 8:45. The waiting area did not have enough seating for everyone waiting. We were squeezed in like sardines."
