Finally, good seafood that won't break the bank in Columbus. McCormick & Schmick's serves good, quality seafood that's attractively presented and offered at a reasonable price. While not cheap, it won't drain your wallet either like some other seafood restaurants in the area. After living most of my life in Florida where good seafood is abundant and inexpensive, I've searched for almost 4 years for good seafood that wasn't outrageously priced. I found it.

Too long of a wait for our dinners to arrive. Once they arrived, we received a different vegetable of the day than on the menu, the mash potatoes were cold and the fish portions were noticeably different even tough we ordered the same entre. Don't think we will be returning any time soon or recommend to anyone.

We went to McCormick and Schmick's to celebrate my birthday, and it was a great experience. I had notified them ahead of time that I am unable to eat gluten, and the server was very knowledgeable of what items on the menu were gluten-free and how they were prepared. I started with the lump crab tower, and then for the main course I had the stuffed Atlantic salmon with sides of mushrooms and red pepper white cheddar mash, and my dad had the lobster cobb salad. Everything was delicious and prepared very well. After dinner we went over to the bar to watch the OSU football game, and the bartender was very friendly and eager to engage in conversation with us. Overall it was a memorable experience and we will definitely be back.

Very nice menu with a lot of seafood and steak selections. They always have a couple of fresh seafood specials. I like their walnut-apple mixed greens salad, and they have a variety of appetizers available. This is a very handsome restaurant - we enjoy the booths - large and comfortable.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant on many occasions. Since my husband loves seafood, we went for his birthday, however, the quality of the food has declined significantly. The last two times we went, the food was not as good as usual, but this time was awful. My husband's food was rubbery and inedible, and mine was overcooked. It tasted like it had been sitting for hours and then reheated in a microwave. Although they tried to bring my husband another meal, his second meal was equally disgusting. Our waitress was very nice, but the food was terrible and they still charged us for my meal (although not his). I don't know what's happened to McCormick and Schmicks, but I don't intend to return anytime soon.

We had always enjoyed M&S, but recent word of mouth and online reviews talked of a decline in food quality, often attributed to their purchase by Landry's. We were assured that we recognized our server Trish from "the old days", who was as professional, cheerful and helpful as ever. The lobster tails were tasty (maybe not up to Maine lobster-shack tastiness, but acceptable!) and the mussels were delicious.

This restaurant is usually my go-to place for seafood and special occasions. Generally the service is pretty decent, even when busy. This last trip to the restaurant was okay but the service was not as good as usual. We went on a Sunday evening for dinner which meant the restaurant was not as busy as a Friday or Saturday. The waiter did not stop by very often and we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. When it did arrive, it looked and tasted great, but the mashed potatoes that came with my dish were a bit dry. The waiter stopped by once to tell us the food would be out soon and never came back with the food. One of the hostesses brought the food out. I might think twice about going again considering the prices.

My husband and I love this restaurant and we come for special occasions and when our daughter is home college. Loved your chef's special one weekend with halibut back a few weeks. Therefore, we choose this location for our 24th anniversary. This last time, I tried the crab cake entree. Upon arrival, my crab cakes were a little "too done" i.e. burnt on one side. I felt that chef strategically put the brown side down on the plate and covered the cakes up with the corn salsa (which is one of my favorites). I advised the matre'd and she said she would notify the chef but nothing was done to address the quality i.e. an courtesy dessert, a coffee, or even a discount to the meal.

A little disappointed in this last visit. Usually some of the best fish in the city and service is generally very good. I guess everyone's entitled to a not-so-good day. Just hope this isn't a trend. Buttermilk fried oyster appetizers fried to a rock hard crisp with no flavor whatsoever. Bang Bang Shrimp missing most of the sauce and the entrees were merely okay. Coupled with excuses of why several sides were not available but could possibly be available by the time our entrees were ready pretty much added to the disappointment. Common sides not available on a Friday night at 7PM? Again; hopefully this was a fluke as we've always enjoyed this place.

There was very annoying music playing constantly in the background. We felt like we were in a 70's disco. My clam chowder was very salty and the texture was as if it was pureed in a food processor. My fish & chips were also salty and overcooked. My wife said her filet was ok but nowhere nearly as good as other restaurants such as J Gilberts. I told our waiter about the overuse of salt in the chowder and again on the fish & chips. He just said sorry you didn't like it. We'll never go back.

Waitress was very unorganized , waited 10 minutes for a steak knife by the time it was delivered it was cold . Wife's chicken was very over cooked . Table seated after us received their appetizers before we had even received our cocktails. Atmosphere was nice but service and food were a great let down and it was not that busy on the night we were there so we can't even say that was he reason .

Service was outstanding, very attentive and kind server. Menu was outstanding, plenty of options and fresh fish as well as chef's specials. I ordered a steak inside of seafood, but it was disappointing. For $28.99, I received a 6oz. New York Filet with only a side of about 5 or 6 asparagus. The offering was very tiny. Additionally, the steak wasn't that great. Pretty standard and not very thick considering the price. The portion was incredibly small, though. That was the main issue I had with my meal.

The food at McCormick & Schmick is always excellent. It is my go-to place for great seafood. It is one of my top five places to eat in Columbus. My only grip has nothing to do with the restaurant but is there no place to go where the clientele can do a little better than cut-offs and flip flops, even on a Saturday night?

I first had drinks and appetizers in the bar. The food was bad and the service was slow. We had very greasy and poorly presented calamari followed. We also had hummus and a chicken/lettuce wrap. All were really unappealing. Even though I had a reservation and gave my dining companion's name, we were seated at 2 different tables despite the fact that we both referenced the reservation. Our entrees and service in the dining room were much better than in the bar but nothing special. I have dined here many times before with better results but this trip was a major disappointment.

It was the first time my wife and I dined in this facility. The menu fit her requests and our wants for our 1 yr anniversary. Restaurant was not busy, so it was pretty quite. Service was outstanding and the timing between each course was near perfect. We were not getting each course right after the previous, so you had time to eat and converse while the other was being prepared. Food was cooked to specifications. Empty plates were removed within a timely fashion

We dined on the pation to enjoy the beautiful evening. The service was excellent. The bread is one of my favorites - sourdough served warm. I had the steak and lobster for dinner - nice filet medallions in a bourdelaise sauce with a lobster tail - perfectly cooked and just the right portion size. The white chocolate mousse and strawberries served in an almond cookie basket was awesome - a nice, light, refreshing dessert to satisfy those of us with a sweet tooth.

My $32 copper river salmon dinner looked and tasted like Atlantic farm raised salmon. I was surprised to see it on a menu in August, given the brief time the fish is usually available. Our side of Gruyere mashed tasted like a box mix of mashed potatoes with a modest sprinkling of cheese baked into it. Sort of granular and not at all tasty or gooey or "share-worthy". The haricot vert and carrot dish accompanying the salmon was excellent. My wife had the crusted trout, which she proclaimed "OK". Same green bean side dish. Fortunately, we had a nice bottle (plus) of Jordan to wash everything down. Overall, disappointing for the money. Outdoor dining was wonderful, as was our server.

Food was good prices great. Need more seasoning though on items. Firecracker shrimp was good but lacked umph. Calamarie was a little fishy and chewy. Bruchetta was good but needed a little more sauce or spice than just tomatos chopped. Lettuce wraps were good but could be improved w a peanut sauce or aioli. Steak tartar was good but salad again needed a little umph. Quality was good but I would definetly step up flavor/seasonuing. Price #1 Service #1 Qualtiy #1 but memorable in taste #5 middle of the road. Wouldn't crave any of them. Would go back if suggested by friends.

We went during restaurant week to just get an all around tast and experience of the place. We waited over 30 mins just for our appetizers and left after an hour and 20mins! We did not even get our entrée! Very disappointed!! I will never go back! For a supposed "high end" restaurant, it was horrible and a waste of time.

The charity menu for restaurant week had to be requested as it was not promoted by the restaurant. Since I had used the open table reservation and thereby identified as a patron of the food bank it was disconcerting to redirect the waiter staff that I was there for the fixed price food bank menu. The beef medallions were cooked improperly and had a pedestrian flavor. The lobster exceeded expectations and was a generous size. The flavor was stellar.
