I have eaten at several McCormick & Schmick's and this one was my least favorite, food was flat and lacked flavor, especially the clam chowder, I would suggest another restuarant in Atlanta, if you want to go to a McCormick & Schmick's I would strongly suggest Minneapolis, MN, 5 star rating

We booked this dining experience months ago to complete a wonderfully planned trip and evening to Atlanta, to go hand in hand with a concert at the Philips Arena next door. We arrived early for our reservation as we didn't know what the drive would have in store for us. So when we checked in, we were told that they would get us seated prior to our confirmed time. Not only were we never seated as promised, but we waited an hour standing in their crowded halls. During that time, we noticed that most of the tables of guests were just sitting there occupying tables and had long finished their meals or drinks. When I asked the staff about this, they told me that people arrive at 4 or 5 pm and just stay there until concert time. I find that extremely rude to know that this is the case since this establishment takes reservations after 5pm knowingly that they have no intention of seating you!! I eventually spoke to a manager and waitress who told me at this late time it would be an hour later to receive any food even if we could of been seated! I'm sorry but this is a poor example of how to treat your customer anyway you look at it! I can't in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone after the horrible experience we had there.

From the greeting at the front door until you are met by your server, everything that you expect about good service can be found at this location. The hostesses meet you with a smile and graciously show you to our table. You are then met by another smile and helpful server. The food is exactly what one would expect, and was well worth the trip!

I am very glad I have an opportunity to publicly thank McCormick & Schmick's Seafood for their kindness to Veterans on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. You could tell the crowd was grateful and energetic. The service was super. They thanked Vets for their service and was particularly courteous when they served us. The place is always special to my husband and me. We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary, his 72nd birthday and my 65th birthday this year with McCormick's and there was no difference in service or food because it was free. It was a pleasure dining with you.

The customer service from the time you walk in the door is AWESOME! The hostess was on point, now the bartender can make a great a French 75 :) The Veterans Day Free meal was very good. Our server Sidney was always available. All meals were cooked to the correct level. The beef tips were medium rare. The Blacken Chicken need a touch more spices but it was very good. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The chef was great.

I was excited to learn the restaurant honored Veterans with a complimentary entrée. I was disappointed with my meal and overall service, Cedar planked Salmon w/ roasted vegetables and one (1) bite sized potato. I usally visit the Perimeter location and expected the same service. I had to request the regular menu as they automatically provided the Veteran's menu. I requested a booth and was informed there werent any available, but observed a vacant booth for almost 15 minutes. I'd made a reservation so I was taken back by the refusal. The mussels appetizer was missing the accompaning grilled bread and there was minimal broth. I 'm hoping the issues were isolated because the restaurant has never failed my expectations previously.

You had the best of both worlds. On one side, people having fun watching college football, the other fine dining. The ports do not look too bog, biut, they are rich in flavor and were were filled to the gills. The Chilean Sea Bass ( a chef recommendation ) was far the best fish my husband ever ate. The lobster mashed potatoes, the server's recommendation, were to die for.

This was the first time at the Atlanta location. I have previously been to a location in Providence, Rhode Island and ate there many times. The food and ambiance was just as good. So many variations of recipes to choose from. Everything was served quickly and cooked to perfection. The only real knock is the size of the portions. Things are pricey and I was left wanting just a little more. Still a very good experience.

We made reservations for 6:30pm. When we arrived, the table was not ready. The service was extremely slow. It took almost 45 minutes just to get a dessert. The food was not reflective of the price. The shrimp and grits were very dry and the steaks were overcooked.

Last Saturday night we had a real treat. I wanted to take my husband to a classy Atlanta restaurant for his birthday and I chose McCormick and Schmick's Seafood in Atlanta at the CNN Center partly because if its location. We had just gone to a football game and the Dome and it was within walking distance. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation but were quickly seated. From there on, the service and food were impeccable. I highly recommend it for a special occasion or anytime you are in the Atlanta Downtown area.

It's been many years since I have been to a McCormick and Smick's restaurant and although a chain, I was looking forward to the experience. While the staff was great, the food quality was certainly not commensurate with the price. The clam chowder with undercooked potatoes was served just short of cold, the oysters lacked taste, and my stuffed shrimp entree seemed a bit lacking on substance. My wife ordered the Asian BBQ shrimp which one would assume might be prepared in a stir-fry sort of fashion. Unfortunately for her, the shrimp were battered and deep fried in a sauce making them entirely too sweet to enjoy. The drinks were also far overpriced; making the whole experience a rather disappointing one.

The serviced was absolute horrible - it took over 1 hour for us to get our drinks, they were out of many food items (lobster tail, trout, some pasta) and when I received my food, and hour and a half after I ordered it was quite obvious it had been sitting under lights for a long time. The beef "medalians" I ordered were 3 small pieces of what appeared to be shaved beef, and were less than 2 ounces total. When we asked to speak with a manager, we had to ask twice and when she still did not come to our table, I got up and sought her out

My husband and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary downtown Atlanta, this past weekend. We spent the weekend at the Omni Hotel and made reservations to dine at the famous McCormick and Schmick's Seafood. First, off on my reservation I put that we were celebrating our second year anniversary, but no one even acknowledged it. We ordered the Ultimate Mix Grill with potatoes. My salmon was horrible and potatoes were stiff but seasoned. I sent my salmon back requested a glaze be put on it, I guess I should have told them to put it back in the pan with the glaze on it because all they did was poor a little over it and brought it rite back out to me. I probably will not give them another try for the price we paid.
