We celebrated my wife's 45th birthday (2 daughter's and me), they printed Happy 45th birthday on top of our menus - and the menus were real, not some cheap piece of paper! We all got a good variety of food: one steak entree, one chicken entree, one seafood entree, and one pasta entree. We all loved everything. Some steaks and seafood dishes were pricy, but you can definitely eat affordably as well. THis was our first time there, we will definitely go back.

Great Location and Very Nice Ambiance. Nice, quiet, and the service from the staff was outstanding. They made you feel like they were happy you were there. Will go back just for the server experience. 4 people in our group really enjoyed their food, Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Cocoanut Shrimp, Tilapia and they commented favorably on the salads. I had the Corn and Crab Chowder and, while chocked full of crab it was a little watery and needed salt and pepper to have any taste. The Loch Etive Steelhead was acceptable but did not have anything special about it that you would typically associate with a fine restaurant. I ordered the Pancetta Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts and receive a few fingerling potatoes and 3 Brussells Sprouts. Not great.

The meal was overall disappointing. The food was cold or warm, but never hot. This "seafood" restaurant ran out of crab legs before six o'clock on a Saturday night. The strawberry shortcake was too dry to even swallow and only came with four small strawberries. The service was very slow and not at all attentive. The only good part of the meal was the chocolate bag dessert.

We had excellent entrée experience and McCormick & Schmick's Seafood. Interestingly enough, our waitress didn't introduce herself all evening. She did give good menu tips. Our appetizer left a lot to be desired and one of our cards was lost in the shuffle at check out time. This experience was a mixed bag.

McCormick & Schmick's never disappoints with their fresh seafood choices. Plain preparations are delicious and the chef always offers some choices to liven up the fresh catch if you'd prefer it not just plain grilled. If you go to McCormick&Schmidk's in Cincinnati be sure to ask for Michael to be your server. He is the epitome of a professional waiter and you'll always have excellent service with him which will add to your enjoyment of your meal.

Consistently great seafood. Everything is seasoned well, fresh and balanced. Staff is friendly and wait staff is efficient and friendly. The vibe is upscale pub. This place has been in business for years and a place you can count on to turn out good food. Great place for business's meetings to show off Cincinnati.

The first table we were seated at was terrible. Waiters coming out of the kitchen were carrying trays over our heads. The second table was not much better. The swordfish we ordered tasted fishy. Quite a let down as our previous visit was excellent.

  • A bit disappointed

Our experience was okay but generally a bit disappointed. First our waiter never offered us bread but we saw many other tables getting bread. Second we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. I had the mixed grill. My salmon was over cooked and my scallops were under cooked. The flavored we're okay but a bit bland. My husband got a filet And shrimp. He said his steak was bland with little to no seasoning except maybe a little salt. For the local, atmosphere, menu, and pricing we expected much more. Next time we'll go back to Mitchell's fish market which is slightly cheaper but never disappoints us.

We had a nice dinner. Enjoyed our evening. Problem was with parking, to our surprise there no valet parking but we had to find our own parking and pay for it! That's being too cheap. We dropped over $75 a person for dinner and they can't pay a $5 parking charge??? WOW.

Had to ask my Sister's Name to be placed on the Menu which is what this restaurant is known for. The young lady at the hostess table stated they did not see my special request from Open Table on their notification. However, she did find it and took care of it. Unfortunately, the date was not added and found out later on they do not add the date any longer. The manager came to our table and said they would do this in the future. It was nice that all personnell signed my sister's menu and that was a great treat. We were introduced to Mr. Hyden, their Chef and it was a pleasure meeting him as well as working with the other staff. Sabrina was great and our 4 stars are reflecting how the hostess table met us coming in.

The first time we went there the service and food was great. This time we were disappointed. The server did not bring us bread so we thought it was not included until we saw it on other tables. The crab legs were smaller and tough, we commented but nothing was done. It may be a long time before we go back as it's very expensive for the lack of quality.

We spent over $200 and were served wonderful food by a terrible and awkward server. She looked disheveled, number one; Not professional. Not what you expect to see when we are dressed up. She had no idea how to open a wine bottle. She struggled for close to 10 mins in front of our table... Finally picking frantically with her nails. AWKWARD!! She had no menu recommendations to provide when asked. She responded, " Ppl seem to like ordering the salmon tonight." Okay??? She never offered to refill our drinks without being prompted. I felt like we were at Applebee's, being served by a new server. She even handed me a super hot hot plate. Needless to say, we were disappointed by what our money bought us.

I was expecting an experience closer to the Precinct or one of those great steak restaurants. I was disappointed. Filet was tender but bland. Portions were very small. Service was good. They called me before we dined as it was my wife's 50th birthday. They said they would personalize the menu with her name. We arrived and the menu looked liked anyone else's menu. No big disappointment but if you're going to hype it up then deliver ! I won't be back unless I win a gift card.

The waiter only knew how to say "no". He seemed distracted, maybe high. He walked away in the middle of an order to wait on another table. He seemed totally unfamiliar with the menu, and had to consult it even for simple orders like mashed potatoes. I ordered meat rare, it came back well done. Had to summon the manager to get things done correctly. I'm not sure I've ever seen service quite so bad. It was almost like a parody of a bad restaurant...but it was real.

My sisters and I decided to wait until Restaurant Week to celebrate our summer birthdays together. One of them had visited McCormick & Schmick's at The Greene in Beavercreek, OH and was very pleased with her meal. After reviewing the other options, we chose McCormick's. And what a great choice it was. From the warm greeting at the front door to our departure, the experience was par excellent! Hats off to the chef - the meal was superb. The blue crab and corn chowder had us humming after each spoonful. My Canjun seared Snapper was cooked and seasoned to perfection - tender and flaky; the creole risotto was heavenly. The portions were just enough so that we were able to enjoy the delightful desserts.

A welcome diversion as most of the restaurant choices featured "red meat"! My GENEROUS portions of both the calamari (appetizer that had a very tasty dipping sauce with it) and the "shrimp trio" (entree') were absolutely DELICIOUS……lightly breaded and done to perfection. (My companion's snapper dish was just "O.K.", not intriguing enough that he would order it again.) Our service was EXCELLENT! (Donald was our server). We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant, as we'd heard a rumor that it had "gone downhill" in quality and was in peril of closing!! (Sadly, the carpet in the diningroom where we dined desparately needed cleaning! Otherwise, the restaurant, including restrooms, was clean.)

Enjoying restaurant week, but had to ask for the restaurant week menu. Made to feel like we had the nerve to ask for it and order from it. Took nearly 2 hours to be served a 3 course pre-fixed menu. Had a relative in from out of town who asked if she could decide her dessert choice after eating her entree. The waiter said no. All 3 entree meals were cold. The "rare" steak medallions were raw. Waited so long for the meal so I took it home and ate the cold lobster tail. The roasted potatoes had a few that were barely cooked. Never asked if we wanted coffee or tea with our dessert. First time giving a bad review to a restaurant, which says much about how disappointing this experience was for all of us.
