The restaurant has a pretty interior design and is conveniently locate across from Fountain Square. Our server was reasonably attentive, but the food was just ok. I had the Chefs Special, which was Sword fish seasoned with cajun spices served over Andouille sausage mashed potatos. The fish was topped with a lemon butter sauce combined with lump crab meat. Green beans were served on the side. It sounds better than it was. It was good, but not great. The fish was just a little over cooked for my taste and the butter sauce could have been more flavorful; however, I did really like the bits of Andouille sausage in the mashed potatos. My wife had chicken with pasta in Alfredo suace. The sauce was very bland... We shared a slice of bourban pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. At most restaurants the pie would have been served warm; however, it was cold and likely right out of the Sysco Food Service box. The taste was ok, but nothing special. The bill was $120 including one salad, one cup of soup, a glass of wine, a beer and tip. This was our first time to McCormick & Schmick's and I'm glad we tried it, but it's not a restaurant to which we will likely return .

We went for dinner with another couple before going to the theater. I ordered 3 courses from the featured menu -- crab and corn chowder, kale salad and swordfish entree. Everything was prepared to perfection. Our server and supporting staff were very attentive and mindful of our timing.

Thank you for doing the Veteran Promotion for Veterans, while everything was very nice it just wasn't special. The food was bland and not served hot, it seem it had been sitting awhile before serving. I really enjoyed the old M.cCormicks when I would visit Portland, OR. It had real ambiance.

M&S offered a deal for Veteran's Day- the veteran getting a free dinner from their special menu. The menu choices ranged from salmon to beef to chicken. All very delicious choices. Hubby got the Salmon Rigatoni and I got the Cashew Crusted Tilapia. Both were large servings and delicious. We sampled a couple of desserts. The Chocolate Bag was eyepleasing and melted in your mouth. It could easily feed 2 people. The Creme Brulee was also good. I finished off with the Millionaires Coffee. I will have to get the recipe for that! Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner for two and will go back for another visit.

Took advantage of the generous offer for Veterans on Sunday. Problem 1 was they seated an 89 yr old veteran as far back in the restaurant as possible (hard for him to walk, steps etc.) despite MANY empty tables. Room was VERY cold and several people complained. Just excuses. Waitress seemed scattered; not polished as one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Mixed up orders when served. My entrée came with the wrong side that was listed on the menu. We came to celebrate my Dad's service and to make him feel special. Greeting from manager was perfunctory and impersonal. Just asking a few questions about his WWII service would have made my Dad glow. The food was delicious but everything else was lacking.

Everyone greeted us and thanked us for our service and choosing to dine with them.

I chose the brand on reputation. It has good food and atmosphere. However, if you're a single diner go elsewhere. Upon entering the store, one could tell a single diner was not particularly welcome. They had to hunt for a table, but finally put me at a 4 top. No doubt, that didn't help their turns. I felt rushed, and after the order was taken and delivered I felt neglected, even to the point of an empty water glass not being filled until it was time for the check. So, if you're a single diner looking for a leisurelyddinner experience, I would look elsewhere.

My fish was okay but the sauce was not. My husband's fish was so tasteless that he had to ask for lemon to put on it. When my salad arrived, I asked for an extra small plate to share it. The waiter replied, in an angry voice, that he would have to go all the way back to the kitchen for it. He then tried to make up for his tone by grinding pepper on my salad without asking if I wanted any. When he realized his mistake, he asked, but by then it had already been done. He did eventually get the small plate.

This was great for a romantic night out. I had the salmon and it was fabulous. The cocktails were good as was our service. The only negative thing I could possibly say, was that we didn't like our table. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but somehow we ended up in the corner by the kitchen door. Not what I wanted for an anniversary dinner. I am sure that we could have had a different table if we would have asked, but we didn't. Will definitely go back on another night in town.

We celebrated my wife's 45th birthday (2 daughter's and me), they printed Happy 45th birthday on top of our menus - and the menus were real, not some cheap piece of paper! We all got a good variety of food: one steak entree, one chicken entree, one seafood entree, and one pasta entree. We all loved everything. Some steaks and seafood dishes were pricy, but you can definitely eat affordably as well. THis was our first time there, we will definitely go back.

Great Location and Very Nice Ambiance. Nice, quiet, and the service from the staff was outstanding. They made you feel like they were happy you were there. Will go back just for the server experience. 4 people in our group really enjoyed their food, Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Cocoanut Shrimp, Tilapia and they commented favorably on the salads. I had the Corn and Crab Chowder and, while chocked full of crab it was a little watery and needed salt and pepper to have any taste. The Loch Etive Steelhead was acceptable but did not have anything special about it that you would typically associate with a fine restaurant. I ordered the Pancetta Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts and receive a few fingerling potatoes and 3 Brussells Sprouts. Not great.

The meal was overall disappointing. The food was cold or warm, but never hot. This "seafood" restaurant ran out of crab legs before six o'clock on a Saturday night. The strawberry shortcake was too dry to even swallow and only came with four small strawberries. The service was very slow and not at all attentive. The only good part of the meal was the chocolate bag dessert.

Plain preparations are delicious and the chef always offers some choices to liven up the fresh catch if you'd prefer it not just plain grilled.
