I cannot stop eating the Caesar salad with blacken salmon! The dressing is rich and flavorful with bold punches of fresh grated parmesan. I probably order the Caesar salad twice a week for lunch. If you haven't tried it, do your palate a favor and ORDER THE CAESAR SALAD WITH BLACKEN SALMON! YUM!!!!

The first time we went there the service and food was great. This time we were disappointed. The server did not bring us bread so we thought it was not included until we saw it on other tables. The crab legs were smaller and tough, we commented but nothing was done. It may be a long time before we go back as it's very expensive for the lack of quality.

Normally great food and great service but this time the food was good but not exceptional and the service was not up to par. Very long time for desert to come and when it did it was not complete. Would have expected more of an apologetic attitude for the undue delay.

Great location and ambiance! Beautiful decor! Staff was very accommodating and professional. Had several menu items with our party of eight and ALL of the seafood selections were fantastic! My son and I ordered steaks, although they were perfectly cooked, they lacked flavor and appeal. We both wished we ordered something else.

We spent over $200 and were served wonderful food by a terrible and awkward server. She looked disheveled, number one; Not professional. Not what you expect to see when we are dressed up. She had no idea how to open a wine bottle. She struggled for close to 10 mins in front of our table... Finally picking frantically with her nails. AWKWARD!! She had no menu recommendations to provide when asked. She responded, " Ppl seem to like ordering the salmon tonight." Okay??? She never offered to refill our drinks without being prompted. I felt like we were at Applebee's, being served by a new server. She even handed me a super hot hot plate. Needless to say, we were disappointed by what our money bought us.

I was expecting an experience closer to the Precinct or one of those great steak restaurants. I was disappointed. Filet was tender but bland. Portions were very small. Service was good. They called me before we dined as it was my wife's 50th birthday. They said they would personalize the menu with her name. We arrived and the menu looked liked anyone else's menu. No big disappointment but if you're going to hype it up then deliver ! I won't be back unless I win a gift card.

The waiter only knew how to say "no". He seemed distracted, maybe high. He walked away in the middle of an order to wait on another table. He seemed totally unfamiliar with the menu, and had to consult it even for simple orders like mashed potatoes. I ordered meat rare, it came back well done. Had to summon the manager to get things done correctly. I'm not sure I've ever seen service quite so bad. It was almost like a parody of a bad restaurant...but it was real.

I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant until the 23rd of this month. The shrimp scampi was nothing like anything I ever tasted in my life and for my special day,I had to get a burger and make it my dinner. McCormick & Schmick's has never let me down until my special day which was my anniversary.

Went for a business lunch meeting, food was very good but the service was very lacking, the waiter came by only a few times and rarely filled our drinks and we were there for 2 hours. There were very few people there for lunch as well so it was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. Maybe an off day?

My sisters and I decided to wait until Restaurant Week to celebrate our summer birthdays together. One of them had visited McCormick & Schmick's at The Greene in Beavercreek, OH and was very pleased with her meal. After reviewing the other options, we chose McCormick's. And what a great choice it was. From the warm greeting at the front door to our departure, the experience was par excellent! Hats off to the chef - the meal was superb. The blue crab and corn chowder had us humming after each spoonful. My Canjun seared Snapper was cooked and seasoned to perfection - tender and flaky; the creole risotto was heavenly. The portions were just enough so that we were able to enjoy the delightful desserts.

A welcome diversion as most of the restaurant choices featured "red meat"! My GENEROUS portions of both the calamari (appetizer that had a very tasty dipping sauce with it) and the "shrimp trio" (entree') were absolutely DELICIOUS……lightly breaded and done to perfection. (My companion's snapper dish was just "O.K.", not intriguing enough that he would order it again.) Our service was EXCELLENT! (Donald was our server). We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant, as we'd heard a rumor that it had "gone downhill" in quality and was in peril of closing!! (Sadly, the carpet in the diningroom where we dined desparately needed cleaning! Otherwise, the restaurant, including restrooms, was clean.)

Enjoying restaurant week, but had to ask for the restaurant week menu. Made to feel like we had the nerve to ask for it and order from it. Took nearly 2 hours to be served a 3 course pre-fixed menu. Had a relative in from out of town who asked if she could decide her dessert choice after eating her entree. The waiter said no. All 3 entree meals were cold. The "rare" steak medallions were raw. Waited so long for the meal so I took it home and ate the cold lobster tail. The roasted potatoes had a few that were barely cooked. Never asked if we wanted coffee or tea with our dessert. First time giving a bad review to a restaurant, which says much about how disappointing this experience was for all of us.

We came for restaurant week and this was our first time trying M&S. We tried the steak and lobster, both were seasoned to perfection and everything came out hot. The chocolate lava cake was to die for! We had an awesome server who was attentive and very friendly. Between each coarse the server timed it just right without the wait. We had a nice evening and will be back.

McCormick and Schmick's did a wonderful job of showcasing their restaurant during Restaurant Week 2014 in Cincinnati! The dining options from the appetizers through desert were great! The portions were extremely generous, and the service was incredible. The location across from Fountain Square adds to the ambience. Everyone in my party of five left with a great feeling about this restaurant and would gladly visit them again, and recommend it to others.

Of the 3 places I went for restaurant week, this was the best food, and the best value. I would return at another time and order off the regular menu, after this sampling of corn chowder, steak and a small lobster tail, and dessert -- quite a bargain for $35. My friend had a salad, blackened fish, and the same dessert, and she was also impressed. There wasn't much to see from our table down a few steps, but the service was good and we really enjoyed the experience.

This was my first time at McCormick & Schmick's and it was a great first impression! My boyfriend and I both picked from the 3 course meal items for Cincinnati's Restaurant week and were not disappointed. The fried calamari appetizer is fantastic! Also, we both really loved the cajun seared snapper with creole risotto entree. Although I had to get a box because it was so filling! To top it all off we enjoyed the hot chocolate molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream, yumm! You can't beat amazing food and superb service!

server Katie is a pro and everything was served at the correct pace, the steak and lobster was great but the star of the night was the best calamari ever even beating out our fave in Mykonos,Greece Try this calamari that has some nice carrot, banana peppers and other treats dusted so lightly to be crisp and ready for dips. The light lemon cream is super and an Italian thicker red sauce is good. Everything is classy and the entire staff is cordial without being fake or putting on airs as some of their downtown completion does. You will have a fine experience and great food here.

The food and service is always exceptional at every McCormick's I have been to. Consistency is one of their trademarks - regardless of location. This time was no exception - both food and service were exceptional. My favorite is always the chopped salad with chicken. This time though, they had a bit of difficulty determining who would be waiting on me and I had 3 different introductions with 3 different names. Not sure what the mix up was but it all ended well.

I've been there a few times and I like it. I'm not a big seafood fan, but I like dining out. This time I went for restaurant week with my boyfriend. He had never been there before. Everything was pretty good, except our food was not hot. We ordered off the limited menu and it seemed like it sat for awhile. That's never happened to me there before and I know a lot of people who really love McCormick's. I just think if you have a limited menu for restaurant week, wouldn't you want to make sure the food came out really good and hot? The whole point is so that first timers will have a good experience and want to come back. We will give it a another chance, but only because that wasn't my first impression. My boyfriend wasn't impressed.

While we don't typically frequent chain based dining, thought we'd try M&S based on friends experience. Nice wine list and great seafood selection. Most impressive was the excellent service from our server, Michael. Rarely does one encounter such a professional and well versed wait staff as thus gentleman. Some surprising wine selections. One curious observation - a front desk hostess person walking into the fining space about every 15 minutes with a sheet of paper making checks on something - very odd and reinforced what I dread most from a chain based place - that standardization and corporate feel.

The food was delicious. I chose the salmon rigatoni & lobster mashed potatoes. If you're on a budget, the portion sizes are substantial so one main with 2 sides should be plenty for 2 people. Plus if you have room at the end, there's always dessert. It was a bit pricey but the service was great. I was not a huge fan of the techno/club music playing.

It was in a good location. Service was quick. Would of liked more bread but the basket was taken as soon as it was empty. I ordered a pasta dish I read what was in it to make sure nothing needed to be excluded, when it came it was covered in raw tomatoes which I absolutely hate. If your going to put things on the dish make sure the menu tells people. It was my birthday so it kind of ruined the mood that I had to pick through my food and could only eat half of it. My husband loved his dish.

We took my parents out for their 55th anniversary, and it was sweet. The waiter was charming and attentive. We had an early reservation, and my mom is a slow eater, so it was nice that there was no rush. They forgot to put the sauce on her shrimp scampi, but the waiter realized the mistake before we did and brought it. Also my parents were delighted that the menu was personalized with a Happy 55th Anniversary message. The "chocolate bag" for dessert was a hit!

The beautifully appointed room promised a lovely dining experience. Our waiter told one of us that a particular fish was not available. It was. He told another of us that a different fish was available. It was not. When the entrees arrived, we were satisfied, although mine was the right fish, the wrong preparation! I made the mistake of ordering an espresso. A truly awful double espresso was served. I had ordered a single. Imagine the sticker shock when I found a charge of $6.99 on my check. I have dined at McCormick & Schmick's in Washington, D.C. and in Chicago. These are by far superior.
