  • "Wonderful ambience in a very romantic setting of a private booth. Enhanced by a lovely meal, although many of the things I attempted to order where not available, we were some of the last patrons in the restaurant so it was somewhat understandable. Service was great when there, but once again due to it being so late - the wait staff was obviously busy running around tasking and therefore doing double duty."

  • "Great trip for the fiancé's birthday. We had reservations and were seated right away. The server was polite and knowledgeable. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer and they were delicious. They had a bit of a kick to them, which we like in our food. I ordered the almond crusted salmon and it was perfection. My fiancé ordered the chicken pasta and he ate it all. Great meal. Always a pleasure to dine at this establishment."

  • "Especially when the restaurant isn't very busy, it makes little sense to leave customers with empty glasses on the table --- and even worse when the waiter stops by to check on things and fails to notice. Good food, nice space, but service could use a bit more maturity and genuine attentiveness."

  • "Father's Day proved to be too much for this location. Our waiter was not familiar with Open Table specials advertised and placed our orders incorrectly, Even after we showed him the email detailing the special. He brought us the wrong steaks with the wrong vegetable and no mashed potatoes. The Manager eventually apologized had our sides and toppings brought out. The asparagus was undercooked and the potatoes cold. Dessert was even an adventure. The Manager adjusted our check, but we were denied the exceptional experience we've come to expect, and, we were not alone. Several tables around us had various difficulties that ultimately required escalation to the Manager. This is a great restaurant, but staff missed the mark this time."

  • "I went there for father's day and they were overwhelmed - had to look for our waitress several times during the meal. The manger apologized profusely about glitch in the booking system but NEVER offered any discount, free dessert, or any other form of compensation. The steaks were average at best though the scallop dish was excellent."

  • "I have dined here a number of times. It is average, we come back because it is a convenient location. Somehow I am always surprised when the bill comes. It is always much higher than i think it will be. I ordered coffee at the end of my meal and sat with it with no spoon or cream for ten minutes. I would have taken it off the bill!!"

  • ""I loved the outside dining of this place – very comfortable seating. They immediately sat up down with our choice. As we began to order food the waiter told us that they didn't have the item after he tried putting it in the system. Im surprised he didn't know what wasn't available. The service was delayed to a point. The appetizer came out after the main course was ordered. Be careful with there specials. Make sure you pay attention to the Check because they tried to charge for the full price of each item when it was suppose to be cheaper. Food was great but service needed some improvement.""

  • "This restaurant offers good food at good prices but it has the worst service. The place during the day, even on weekends is empty with the staff outnumbering the patrons. There seems to be an overall bad attitude that has kept people away. Always slow service. Place needs help."

  • "Ambiance is good. Dinner started on a very good note. Appetizer and entre were very good and service was good to that point. Service declined toward the end of the meal. Cappuccino and coffee were cold upon arrival, [decaf] coffee had grinds in the cup, forgot one cup of coffee, forgot to refill [requested] water; service became slow after the main course was served. Overall good but not quite up to expectations and prior experiences at the same facility."

  • "Went right after Memorial Day, so it was VERY quiet. Service of course was outstanding and so was the food. My friend had Trout and it was a big portion. I had Cobia and although it was a small portion, it was delicious. For dessert we had the berry cobbler. We liked the berry part but did not like the thick dough crust on top. It could have been thinner and flakier. It was too doughy. The menu food selection was generous without being overwhelming. At the recommendation of our waiter, I got the Landry's Select card and it was definitely a wise investment. We will definitely go back!"

  • "Starting with not enough appetizer plates and silverware, no asking for repeat serving of drinks, partial order, steak served well done when asked for medium rare - not the kind of service you expect from restaurant like M&S. Other locations like Boston or Manhattan are far more professional - maybe it's just the Bridgewater location. Not planning on re-visiting any time soon."

  • "After we all settled at our table the wait staff did not complete setting the table....we had to ask later when food arrived. We were asked if we wanted bread and said yes. It never came until they asked if we wanted bread again at a later time. When appetizers didn't arrive after waiting 20 minutes we had to ask and track them down. When entrees arrived one piece was missing. Had to find wait staff to let them know then waited 10 minutes for its arrival. Food was good but we will never go there again."

  • "The ambiance, the layout, the prices on the menu, they all make you feel like you've just entered a 5-star establishment. That is, until you realize the food is below average, the service -- while hospitable -- is poor and slow, and you've just wasted 90 minutes of your night without even having dessert or coffee. I came to McC&S with my wife in kids in the hopes of having a wonderful, fancy dinner with my family on a special occasion. It certainly looks the part, but falls short on delivering on that promise on just about every level. We visited on Monday night, 7PM. Occupancy, about half full. We waited 20+ minutes after our order was placed (!) for water and bread. Food was what I would expect from Applebee's. Will avoid at all costs."

  • "Sat down immediately and had multiple managers/wait staff walk past us, multiple times. 35 minutes later, we finally had utensils and water glasses. The manager Sean apologized, would not comp a drink or appetizer, and never thought to come back to make sure everything was fine afterwards although he looked over at us a few times. Really seemed like he didn't care. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. For $125, the food was mediocre. Could have went to the Red Lobster and gotten the same meal for 1/4 of the price. I will never be back and will make sure anyone I know never goes to the M&S in Bridgewater."

  • "My experience was very disappointing. Our appetizers were served without silverware which we had to ask for. I ordered the Lobster Cobb Salad which was served alone - (7) minutes prior to all other entrees! Again, we had to ask for silverware for this course. The waiter was absent for more than (15) minutes - no checkback to ask if everything was OK. My wife ordered coffee and I ordered cappuccino - her coffee arrived - no spoon. My cappuccino arrived (5)+ minutes later...no explanation, no apology - just late! My daughter ordered sherbert - again served without a spoon! Overall, the food was just OK (a 3 outof 5), but the service was extremely poor (a 1 out out of 5). A disappointing experience!"

  • "It was my wife's birthday and I put that on the reservation. Not even a muffin with a candle to acknowledge that? That's cheap and bad customer service! We ordered calamari to start.it was salty and greasy. Could not finish it. She ordered halibut and ordered burger. Halibut was completely tasteless and presentation was just awful. We could have gotten a better piece of frozen fish at costco. Smelled a bit stale too. Burger was ok. I thought this place was supposed to be a seafood place. Will not go back again."

  • "For $39 a steak should be prime and 16 ounces not choice and 13. The prices are for fine dining and the place is more on the average side. The food isn't bad, but neither is it great. The server was sweet, but the system doesn't work. Someone else brings your main course and ours came way before we finished our salads. My husband had to ask for ground pepper instead of it being offered. Small details, but they form an overall impression. For a last action, they gave us the wrong bill which somehow just topped off the whole experience perfectly."

  • "We arrived and the hostess was very cold and acted like she was better than us. We were seated quickly as the restaurant was empty and we felt rushed to give our orders right away. We were never given bread. When the main course arrived (we ordered the mixed grill filet mignon and stuffed shrimp), the filet was maybe 3 inches in size and the 3 stuffed shrimp were miniature size. This plate cost us $40.00. The potatoes we ordered were iced cold as if they were just taken out of the refrigerator. When it came to dessert time, we were told certain desserts were not good so we just ordered coffee. The coffee came out iced cold and without a spoon to stir. Needless to say we will NEVER dine here again. Definitely not an upscale place. "

  • "We went to dinner early on a Sunday evening. There were plenty of customers at the restaurant although it was not crowded. We were given the a special seasonal menu as well as the standard menu. When our server came to take our order we found that they were out of our FIRST THREE CHOICES of fish - cobia, tuna, and mahi mahi. After studying the menu further we were told that they were out of lobster as well. We finally were able to select something for dinner that they did have but it was a fourth choice. There was no apology by the waiter. The manager never stopped to see how we were doing. Not even a coffee for our inconvenience. Had we been told at the door, we would have dined elsewhere."

  • "M&S got 3 stars for not having in stock the most important ingredients for making simple plates. However, M&S is otherwise consistent with the type and quality of restaurants on OpenTable. I had a rare fish, one that I've never seen on a menu before - Cobia. I really like trying new things, and this specials plate was worth it. We also ordered a Calamari, which has a very good batter to it; a side of au gratin mashed potatoes, which was standard and delicious; and a pecan pie slice for dessert, very good! However, they were out of chicken that night. So, my wife got a hamburger, as she is not a seafood eater. I can say though that the managerial staff were very attentive to us after finding out that we wanted to order a chicken dish."

  • "I was impressed that with a reservation at 1215 we were seated immediately. There was a slight delay in the waiter greeting us but he was very helpful. Food was fabulous and prompt. Waiter was attentive throughout. Lunch special portion was just right. The cream sauce in the salmon salute was light and fresh. It begged you to push around the rice to get every drop. The clam chowder was creamy with an unexpected slight bite that set the expectations for the remainder of the meal. My coworker had the walnut salad which looked delicious and momentarily had me questioning my choice. Overall very nice and not overly priced for a special occasion. Menus was easy to understand but the sauteed description was unclear if it was over starch or not."

  • "Our server was very nice, patient and accommodating but he forgot our aps and was as slow as molasses. I call it the empty restaurant syndrome, the place was empty and you would think it would all move like chop,chop. Not the case.......Food was prepared very well and was very tasty but a 2 hour lunch???? Your killing me here bud !!!"
