  • "The staff and food at McCormick and Schmick's is always good"

  • "We had several choices for Easter Brunch and we decided to give M & S a chance. I called ahead and checked what would be available for brunch and checked the website for items. When we arrived there on Sunday the Easter Brunch menu was minimal, not complete (no Make Your Own Omelet or cinnamon rolls), very limited, and it was printed out and poorly copied. Service was minimal and the food was just ok. I would not go back for brunch again and I would not recommend it to anyone."

  • "Easter brunch turned out to be a test that this restaurant failed for the three of us. My girlfriend and I took my Mother out after church for brunch and were very disappointed. The food arrived nearly 50 minutes after we were seated, and my girlfriend's shrimp and grits platter had cold grits. My Mother's eggs Benedict had no Hollandaise sauce and the eggs were overdone. My steak Diane was warm, not hot. When I asked to speak to a manager, it took nearly ten minutes for one to appear, at which time the waitress explained to him (and us) that it was not her fault for the service issues. We were not charged for the meals, but will not return as that was not our intent, to eat free."

  • "Went there for my wife's birthday. She got the Ultimate seafood meal, with wood-fire grilled salmon, scallops, grilled shrimp, and stuffed shrimp. I had the stuffed salmon, which was stuffed with shrimp, crab, and brie. Needless to say, the meal was amazing. Some of the best and freshest seafood these two seafood fans have eaten. They also made my wife's birthday very special."

  • "Waitress was a bit overworked, resulting in slow service, especially at the beginning. She had both inside and outside tables, which made it difficult for her to service us in a timely fashion."

  • "The servers seem under remarkable pressure to induce diners to sign up for Landry's reward cards, and to induce diners to buy appetizers and the most expensive entrees. We feel for the servers, but we tire of the endless efforts to sell. Eating in the bar is more pleasant."

  • "Our server and chef made this 10th anniversary dinner extra special. The server was not only accommodating of my food allergies, she also brought the chef out to discuss it. I've never been to a restaurant where the chef will come out and make sure your dining experience is free of food allergies! Amazing. The food was delicious, the server was always helpful...we loved it. Thanks for everything!"

  • "Not the best this time. Poor service and inedible dessert....but normally incredible food."

  • "We had seafood and steak. The stuffed salmon was delicious. The filet was not very flavorful. Our server was friendly and attentive."

  • "Food was generally good... however items on plates were not all hot... my Blackened Mahi was just hot enough to send back and yet my veggies were on the cold side while my mashed potatoes were fine... All guests did not get served at the same time... I had to begin my dinner to avoid my main course from becoming to cold to enjoy... The restaurant was not crowded so it is hard to understand the service delay... Anyway... the food was of very good quality and if service was a bit better probably excellent... Soo NOT QUITE PERFECT!"

  • "Along with their normal fare, the evening we were there, they had a great selection and variety of specials. This was my first experience of trying cobia and it was most excellent."

  • "Everything was great but atmosphere was very noisy. My husband and I could not hear each other from across the table. Would not advise if you want a romantic night out or much conversation. I would strongly suggest the MS Tea, and the Whiskey Glazed Salmon. Our waiter Brian was top notch! He took excellent care of us."

  • "This was our second visit to this high-end chain restaurant, and a second disappointment. We found the service to be slow, the food to be average, and the prices to be high. I probably won't try this again, but will prefer Fleming's across the street."

  • "Dined at McCormick & Schmick's with a friend this past Sunday (03/09/2014) and found the place to be very classy and very clean. We both enjoyed the Chef's Exclusive Dinner since it was our first time there, which was amazing! Good cuts of beef medallions, a crisp, fresh tasting mixed green salad, and the dessert (I chose the molten chocolate cake) was a great finish. I'd definitely invite my friends to come here. Our server was more than attentive to our needs and very friendly, despite the various tables she was serving simultaneously. Wonderful experience overall!"

  • "This was my third time dining here and my third time with awful service. Our server brought out the wrong salads and tried to give me the wrong dinner. Why don't the servers write down the orders? After all of that, the manager brought out my replacement dinner and didn't even apologize for the mix ups. I personally work for another restaurant and for this place to be charging so much, I would expect much more. They're headed to going out of business if they can't step it up. I won't be returning."

  • "Overall, the food was tasty ,but over priced. The waiter was excellent. Time from order to table was good. Previous patrons, but this was probably our last visit. Called in a day ahead for reservations for a special occasion and reserved a private curtain booth. Upon arrival there was none available, it would be an hour wait! neither was a regular booth. However, we were seated at a regular table. I spoke to the manager regarding double booking the private booths and the fact it was a waste of time to even call for reservations if the requested table would be unavailable upon arrival (and an hour wait). Frankly, a comped appetizer did not salvage what was supposed to be a romantic evening."

  • "The food was great and the service was excellent. That being said the prices for food were a bit high for the amount of food you got."

  • "My wife and I enjoy, seeking out great places to go for special occasions. McCormick & Schmick's is one of those places. We had a wonderful meal and great service from "JOE" a great waiter. We had the lump crab stack then the Lobster Bisque was the best we have ever tried, next we shared the Swordfish Casino, finally capped of the meal with the Bourbon Pecan Pie. Absolutely, an incredible evening!! Thanks"

  • "This was my first time dining at McCormick & Schmicks, and I must say I was a tad disappointed with the food and the service...which in turn made me disappointed with the price. The food was okay...comparable to Red Lobster (at twice the price). The ambience was probably the best part. Overall I'd say give it a try if you have extra money to spend, and you're unable to make reservations elsewhere...just don't expect a 5 star meal..."

  • "The food was way over priced for the amount and quality. The food is comparable to Fridays. I did hear that the seafood is good."

  • "Making reservations was easy and was able to get in. We did not have to wait to be seated. My wife's food was good and tasty (Grilled Salmon). Mined was okay (Shrimp stuffed with crab). What I was taking aback by was the waiter when I asked about a menu item. He responded with "it's just what it says". I was expecting some what of a preparation description to get an idea what it might taste like."

  • "We ate during restaurant week and had a table of 6 in the corner which was perfect! WE had the calamari for appetizer which was lightly breaded, hot and delicious. I then went with the mahi mahi lightly breaded and pan fried. It was fantastic and nice and hot too. I had the creme brulee with mango and it was incredible. My husband had the chocolate lava cake..that was good too. Very good service too!"

  • "Food and service were great but the overhead music was a weird mix of almost EDM. Did not fit the atmosphere at all and was too loud. Some Classic Sinatra-era music would be a better back drop."

  • "We have eaten here several times and always received excellent service, except for this occasion. The service was very slow. Maybe it was due to the Restaurant Week promotion and the kitchen was having trouble preparing the special items for that menu. Also our server seemed inexperienced. We waited an hour for our entrée, which never happens normally. The food was good, however, and the portions were reasonable for the price."

  • "Great food for restaurant week, but the service though friendly was slow. At one point I actually got up to find our waiter. My friend explained that is why she and her husband no longer dine at the restaurant, service is too slow."
    Dined on 1/27/2014
  • "Had the calamari as appetizer and it was very good. Then had the seafood trio but portions were very small for the price and food was overcooked. The salmon was dry and hard. I am generally a fan of this restaurant but very disappointed in the main course this time around."

  • "The food and service were just as good as always. The taste and temperature of the food was great. However the portion sizes served much smaller than before. Nonetheless the waitress was very friendly an accommodating. Will definitely come back!"

  • "The potatoes were very very salty. I should have sent them back. Otherwise the meal was very good. We would love to see small desserts back on the menu. Blair, our server, was very attentive without being overly solicitous."

  • "I was disappointed in the variety of choices available for sides. The main course was good but I'd prefer to have more selction of what sides were available to me."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "We were a little skeptical. My husband is very picky when it comes to restaurants. All the food and drinks were so fresh and well prepared. The steaks were outstanding. We will definitely return and bring friends with us."
    Dined on 1/10/2014
  • "The food is obviously not prepared to suit special requests. When I was indecisive about a particular entrée and was unsure of the sauce, I asked for a sample of it. They couldn't accommodate because, each entrée is portioned in a bag, so they didn't have the sauce readily available. I had the Mahi Mahi, which was extremely fishy taste, which isn't normal. The spinach and green beans were cold."

  • "Wanted to do something special for New Years Eve. For the price it was not worth it. The fish was excellent. It was very noisy in the restaurant, the bread was served cold. They were busy but we did make a reservation and expected better service. Bonefish Grill is a much better restaurant for the price."

  • "We were seated at a booth (NY-Eve) next to a table of 6. Soon after we were seated that we realized it wasn't going to be a quiet evening. There was a man at that table-a table very near our booth-who was SO LOUD, as if he was yelling. And continuous talk. I mentioned this to our waiter as he was taking our order, for "a side salad with dressing on the side, and please bring a muzzle for the man at the table next to us." He gave me a smile, but he made no suggestions or offered any help. I wish that we would have immediately asked to be seated at a different table-and I do wish the waiter would have asked if we'd like to move. It literally ruined our entire dinner. They were still there after we left - miserable experience."

  • "This restaurants is outstanding! We went there for New Years Eve and it was a wonderful experience. This is the first time I go out on New Year's Eve. The first thing was that they allowed us to make reservations which was great. Our reservation was for 8:45 pm which was kind of late. But since I called about 3 days in advanced, most was already taken. We went there early and they let us sit at a table by 8:15 pm. This was absolutely wonderful since we would have had to wait another 30 minutes. Our bill was $192 dollars for 3 people but it was worth it! The food is delicious. We had gone to J Alexander to try to get in a little earlier. They did not let us make reservations and it was a mad house when we got there. A 3 hour wait!"
