My husband and I have always been fans of M & S and loved their fish. However, I have now read about farmed fish and know that it is undesirable for many reasons. I was disappointed to find that all their fish is farmed except maybe 2 and they specialize in fish. With that being said my husband and I both ordered chicken dishes. I ordered the chicken parmesan and he ordered the blackened chicken fettuccini and both were delicious. We did very much enjoy our meal and would go back for those dishes, but were disappointed that we could not order fish. I am surprised that they would go the cheap farmed fish route and not keep their old high standards with wild caught fish.

First of all, we were disappointed in the happy hour. I am a light weight and I couldn't taste any alcohol in the drink I bought. Our friends ordered calamari and half of what was on the plate was fried vegetables and this was not noted on the menu description. The food was expensive for how it tasted. There was a 2.95 upcharge to sub broccoli for squash and it was a VERY small amount and a 2.95 upcharge to substitute roasted potatoes for mashed potatoes. I ordered shrimp and grits for $20+ and it had 4 shrimp! The air was not working as it should have been and it was very hot where we ate. The lobby and bar area was much cooler.

We had high expectations based on our experiences at other Landry's restaurants. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Neither the food or service were representative of fine dining. The waiter seemed to rush us and was a bit sarcastic; however,he did warm up a bit after handing me the bill. He constantly disappeared for long durations, but we were his only table. The food was OK, but for this caliber menu OK is not acceptable. I can get OK almost anywhere. There were no significant problems, but a restaurant in this price range should result in a memorable evening. My rating of an overall "Good" is probably generous. I doubt I'll be back, but do look forward to trying other Landry's restaurants.

Hadn't eaten at McCormick & Schmicks for several years and were really looking forward to it. Server was very good, no complaints there. However, clam chowder was very thin-nothing to brag about. Crabcakes average, herb-crusted wahoo overdone. french fries had a "vinegar" taste, & we were served bread which was enough for perhaps 1 person for our party of 3. Swordfish served with only spinach and no starch, so ended up ordering a side of orzo. Only real bright spot was the tuna tartar appetizer, which was excellent. Overall, I would say the food was average at best, unfortunately, for a high price. We don't mind paying for really good food, but this was not.

We have dined at McCormick's a number of times over the years. The fish is always fresh and the sides and dessert are always good. We had a very nice dinner, starting with calamari which was prepared with fried peppers, artichoke hearts and onions. It was prepared just right and not at all chewy. My husband ordered coho salmon and said it was delicious. I ordered seared ahi tuna and it tasted very good, but was overcooked. We were able to have a very private table in an alcove, making it private and enjoyable. The server was very friendly, efficient, and helpful.

Food was very good as was the service. We arrived early for our reservation so we waited in the bar area. First impression was very negative as we observed the General Manager berate the bartender in a very loud and pointed fashion. My wife and I were the only 2 people in the bar that observed it but it was a very unprofessional and uncomfortable, loud and (in my opinion) a mean spirited rant. It left the lady who was the bartender understandably upset. It was a bad first impression and cast a pall on the meal.

The entire staff was friendly from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. It was my birthday, so the gave us a table in a private room. The menu had been printed with my name and a birthday wish. The portions were large an we took home half our food and both desserts. I have never experienced a restaurant that took as much effort in packing our desserts. I was truly impressed.

This was not a very good experience. From initially being seated in the hinterlands of an unused private dining room (I protested, and we were grudgingly moved to the main dining room), to an inattentive waitress and an over-priced menu, this was not a fine dining experience and I do not recommend it.

What a disappointment. Always heard that McCormick and Schmick's Atlanta was a great place to go. Featured dish of steak and lobster was luke warm and potatoes were hard. Server disappeared and we had to get up twice to ask for things because he never came back to the table. Will not be going back.

We ate an early dinner in a cozy booth (where we could draw the curtains if we liked), so we had our waiter all to ourselves until a large group came in. Tim had excellent suggestions for wine and courses. We chose the Chef's special dinner with an appetizer, entree and dessert, even though I wish there had been other choices. My husband loved his clam chowder. My salad was good (with candied walnuts). My husband liked his combo beef medallions and shrimp scampi entree, and I enjoyed the shrimp scampi with pasta. I had leftover pasta to take home. We both got the creme brulee for dessert, which was delicious but too much for me, since we usually share a dessert. Our wine selections were excellent as well.

The food was superb, fresh and inventive. We enjoyed it thoroughly. Cashew crusted tilapia, lobster bisque and calamari. And dessert was amazing. The chocolate box was huge, and three of us enjoyed it ! Last but not least, the bartender was even able to fulfill a special if unusual request and we enjoyed a very delicious cocktail appetizer. Great place for a relaxing dinner. It was not inexpensive, but it WAS worth every penny.

The food was great, especially the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer! The clam chowder was expensive and mediocre. Red Lobster's clam chowder is better. The service was okay. The server was so busy with a large party that we had long waits between courses and drink refills. The manager was great and more than made up for it. I would return again, eveni if it was just for the shrimp appetizer!

Arrived prior to reservation time for group of 8. We were ignored initially by the hostess, and after finally speaking to someone discovered table not ready. Very light lunch crowd and were not seated until 20 minutes after reservation. Had to further wait for lunch menus to be printed. Asked server to speak with manager, asked if a particular person was the mgr and were told "no, that is the bartender". Finally spoke to mgr and received discount on the bill. Very disappointed in the lunch customer service. Maybe just a bad day.

Lobster cob salad sounded good, but was thoroughly disappointed.. The lobster was salty, all claw meet, small pieces out if what seemed like a frozen bag. Served on tasteless iceberg lettuce, few tomatoes, and blue cheese for 29.99! Shrimp cocktail over cooked, not jumbo as indicated on menu...creme brûlée was soupy and topped off the disappointing dinner. Overpriced and not fresh should be the motto here.

McCormick and Schmick's is one of my favorite restaurant chains. I've been to several: NC, MO, FL, WA, MN and always been impressed by the seamless service and food experience. So imagine my disappointment when the location at Perimeter was sub-par. I dined for happy hour. I sent back my drink 3 times, explaining what was wrong before telling the waitress I didn't want a drink. She offered another drink made correctly. I followed her suggestion - it tasted like a can of pineapple juice. Our APPETIZERS didn't appear for 45 min. One guest in our party has a special diet and was told after our food arrived the kitchen didn't have the ingredients for her dish. She was offered CARROTS!! The story continues. But we wont return. Unacceptable.

The mussels were old and of foul odor. The place is terribly overpriced and very few people were actually here on a Friday night. Entrees were priced liked the fine restaurants in Buckhead. To the credit of the restaurant the mussels were removed from the bill, the waiter was personable, the view of the lake was calming, and the bartender made exceptional drinks.
