Diner Reviews
  • "I have been here for large family gatherings and business meetings. Food and service has always been top notch. "

  • "Half full restaurant and took at least 15 minutes to see our waiter to take drink order. We already decided what to eat and drink so we told the waiter we wanted to order then. Saw our waiter few times and far between. My wife ordered Mirrasou Pinot Noir wine (which she drinks often) - it was very warm and tasted like cheap wine. The waiter asked my wife to choose something different to drink and she picked a different wine that ended up proper temperature and tasted right. Dinner included 3 shrimp but tasted strange and I only ate half of one. My wife's shrimp tasted ok. Asked waiter to see manager. Never came so we will never go back. Something is wrong here when you hear "I'm sorry" from waiter and manager 4 times at tables around us."

  • "When I made the reservation I indicated that it was for a birthday celebration. The only thing that was mentioned was having the guest name at the top of the menus, that we didn't get to keep. I found it quiet odd that we were escorted through the kitchen to get to our table then the hostess handed us our menus before we even sat down. She should have received more training. We also noticed a server being extremely friendly with some other people to the point it was distracting. We had to point out to our server that the carafe' for the second glass of wine had a chip and crack in it. So much attention to detail was left out. This is one of those "been there, done that, won't go back"."

  • "Great looking place for a meal. Reservation was easy and we were seated on time. Then we waited, waited, and waited. Finally we got our drinks. The order was taken, delivered by someone other than our waitress - we saw her once again when we got the check. No refills, long wait for food, long wait for menu. The food was fair but not great and the service was the worst that we had during our trip to Atlanta. Our expectations were not met."

  • "Food was good. We celebrated my mom's birthday here. It was 6 of us. We enjoyed our time and even had a sectioned off table, so we really liked that."

  • "Service was slow at dinner time. Lunch experience is much quicker."

  • "Service was excellent for special occasion. Menu same as offered during last visit. Salmon was very good. Filet was below average."

  • "Having heard great things about M&S, I treated my wife to a date night there. Quite a disappointment. Positives first. The waiter was attentive.. We were seated quickly thanks to our reservations. The sangria was good, along with the Tuna tartar appetizer. The salmon on the Ultimate Mixed Grill was cooked so hard it "clanked" on the plate. The kitchen prepared a replacement, but that piece was inedible. It looked like the frozen salmon I buy at the grocery store. One scallop was cooked to almost burnt, the other almost raw. The shrimp were way overcooked and rubbery. The crab cake mix was off. We will not eat there again, but I hope the restaurant reads this and improves the kitchen and food quality."

  • "Christmas, our server, is always great and we are now on a first name basis. M&S always gives me the private curtained booth and the food has become predictable; always great, regardless of what you order."

  • "The food was just ok. It was definitely not worth the price. We had the calamari appetizer and it was weird. Lots of fried vegetables and very little actual calamari and the calamari that was there was very chewy and hard to eat. I had the shrimp trio as an entree, and the only shrimp on the plate that was worth eating was the fried shrimp. The sides that came with it (orzo and green beans) were better than the shrimp. The cocktails were good, so I would recommend going here for just the cocktails and skipping the food in favor of something else (P.F. Chang's is right next door). I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends."

  • "After 15 minutes at our table on a non busy night we still had not been acknowledged by our server or served water , bread or anything so we left. Upon leaving a manager asked us how are evening was. After telling him we were never served he turned around and walked away obviously not caring to know about it. We have eaten here many times and the bar service is fine but the dining room service is always slow or even on existent! Fortunately we went to the restaurant next door and had a drink and appetizer served in under 10 minutes!"

  • "The service the bar was sssoooo slow even with two bartenders. Then we sat in the dinning area and the server took 20 minutes to bring us water and take our drink order. I always believe too that I should NEVER have to ask for a water refill and I had to several times. We waited way too long and felt that if we closed the curtain, they may forget about us. Food was great but service could be greatly improved."

  • "Food and service was good, Resturant was very cold inside, the a/c vents blew right on the tables which made it very difficult to enjoy the good food."

  • "All five of us enjoyed our food there. And we had a big variety."

  • "The ambiance was impressive and the food was exceptional. We will most defiantly return on our next trip to the Atlanta area."

  • "I ordered Swordfish and got what looked like a breaded chicken cutlet. I ordered tuna appitizer and was asked if I wanted coast to coast or ahi, and I said ahi. When the check came I was charged for a whole dinner of Ahi. WE never got our water glasses filled or any attention while there. The manager was very apologetic and did give me credit for my meal and then some, but it really bothers me that they knew they were out of swordfish and tried to pass off this mystery fish dinner."

  • "We have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed it. However this last time will probably be the last time. The server never told us his name, he didn't know about the mussels, he didn't know what Red Fish was, (he did go and check on these two questions), food was cold, asparagus were tough and the size of pencils. We sent our food back and asked for new vegetables. When our cheese cake came for dessert we were enjoying it until my wife found a long black hair in it. I told the server I wanted it taken off the bill. He did do this. Manager was not made aware of the situation until we were leaving."

  • "After reading some of the negative reviews I was worried, but took some out of town business partners there anyway on a Friday night, requested a table with a little elbow room so we could talk freely and were given a "Snug" booth, a nice sized four top in a private small three walled room which was perfect. The server was very professional and charming, timing was sharp, food was very good (especially the calamari, loved the spices they use, some of the best I've ever had), and prices were fair for the Perimeter area. We were all very pleased."

  • "Food was pretty good, really pushy on having us buy some card that gives you points back for future meals. When we told the waiter and sales person we don't like those cards because we cant keep track of them and lose them, they made us feel like we were idiots for not getting them. We just want to have a nice dinner and don't want to fend off aggressive sales people. First they told us just sign up and we would get $75 off then when the sales person came it turned out it was toward future meals and that you had to pay $25. Not a great overall experience. Doubtful we will go back since we were there for birthday celebration and that ruined our dinner."

  • "we always love McCormick and Schmicks. Especially Mark, who has been our waiter on several occasions. He is great! I noticed that in years past, the waiter or waitress used to bring a portable tray along with the iceberg wedge which had extra blue cheese crumbles, bacon bits, cucumbers, and extra blue cheese dressing. They haven't brought that with our blue cheese iceberg wedge in a long time. This time, I barely had enough dressing on my salad to last even a few bites. Other than this we have no complaint- great as usual! thanks"

  • "The food is wonderful as is the service. Having a booth is wonderful, especially with an elderly guest, who by the way said the perfect Manhattan she ordered was the best she'd had in Atlanta"

  • "We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. High marks for the steaks and the stuffed shrimp. The butternut squash orzo was also delicious. Our server, Christian gave us the right amount of attention and privacy. Overall, an excellent experience."

  • "My wife and I went out for a Valentine's Dinner. We could not have picked a better place. The setting was perfect for our evening, and the food was "out of this world"."

  • "I often like to take my mom out for Lunch. This time we ate at McCormick & Schmick's Perimeter restaurant. I ordered the parmesean crusted flounder and my mom ate the cashew crusted tilapia. Each meal was cooked to perfection. We topped off lunch with the upside down apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. Now that was pure heaven. I have been dining at M & S ever since I was living NY. I always have a pleasurable experience. Although I wish they would bring back their lobster roll. That was my staple meal. But so far nothing I have ever ordered disappointed me. My family and I plan on dining there for our up coming graduation celebration."

  • "We were celebrating Valentine's Day and my birthday. The server was informed of the occasion by my wife but this was completely forgotten. The service was slow and inattentive. The mussels we ordered as an appetizer were not fresh. We chose this restaurant because of a more pleasant experience we had in McCormick & Schmick's Los Angeles restaurant. Clearly the chain is inconsistent."

  • "My wife and I have been to the McCormick location in New York a few years ago and enjoyed it. The food and atmosphere was excellent. With that in mind I thought for my wifes 50th birthday we would celebrate at the Atlanta location. I expected dresses casual like in New York were you had to have a coat, I was surprized to see jeans and warm up suits. The lighting was bright, no romantic feeling. The food was average and the service was well not good. The tables were close to each other and you could easily hear someone else's conversation. Not a place I would recommend for a romantic date or special celebration."

  • "My husband really liked the mixed seafood grill. My swordfish was pretty dry and the grilled asparagus were charred. The apple pie was great! The disappointing things were: Even though we had 6:00 pm reservations and were early, we were sat at a table right next to the service door where all the servers were constantly going in and out! Also, the dining room only had 3 couples in it when we arrived, so why give us the worst table when there were plenty of others!? The server said the restaurant was pretty much out of bread, so did we want any? And, the dessert we ordered, chocolate in a bag, ended up being sold out. This was the second time we visited this restaurant and haven't had a great experience yet. Thank you, CJ"

  • "Unfortunately we were disappointed. The ambience was a little too 'chain' like and felt impersonal. Our meals were good, but nothing was special or unique. My vegetable side was a plain green bean and the fish was cooked well, but lacked flavorThe waiter was trying to be humorous all evening, yet the attention to service lacked. Our entre was delivered before we had finished our mussles (tasty but small) and he made comment to the other waiter that he ' ..tried to get us to let him take them away..' We noticed that at an adjacent table another party had their appetizer delivered before their entree, which came much later. There many choices for dining in the area and M&S will need to step up their game to compete for my $100+ in the future."

  • "we had a great lunch with delicious food but waited almost 45 minutes for it, I guess being a Landrys select member I am just not used to be treated to a bad table in the middle of an almost empty restaurant, waiting on my food and hearing the waiter screaming at the cooks to ask where our food was"

  • "McCor & Sch at Ashford Pkwy obviously overbooked for Valentines. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait with others about 15 min to get a table cleared. We were then put in a banquet room filled with couples at small tables; sort of like the crowded dining room on a cruise ship. Service was horrible as the waiter had too many tables. Had to catch a different waiter to get our water refilled once. This was even on Feb 15, so I pity those who went there on Feb 14. My wife got the most expensive fish dish, sea bass, which was great. I got the shrimp trilogy which wasn't cheap and was only fair in quality, taste, and temperature. Maybe we will go back on a normal night."

  • "Upon arrival, host wanted to seat us in bar area, we don't do bars so another table was quickly found. Food was good...loved the flatbread....there was a lot of time between courses ...we were not in a hurry so we made the best of it through conversation....it was Valentine weekend and the restaurant was very busy...Kudos to Miguel, our server, for making the best out of a bad situation.....will return and suggest to other diners"
