We waited longer than expected for everything. The waiter didn't mention any specials (were there any?) and wasn't around enough. The food was mediocre and not the amazing fare I had years ago--like it sat under the heat lamp too long at the pass in the kitchen. The wine was expensive (even the cheap-0 bottles like Rex) OK food, but not for the price we paid. Dinner with drinks was almost $180. I had Mahi Mahi and my son had Oregon rock fish. Mine was overcooked, the veggies were way too salty, and the 6 pack of oysters on the half shell were not great. The shrimp appetizers were the best food we had. The mixed drinks however were amazing (the mint/cucumber martini was incredible despite the "we're out of cucumber").

Wait staff very attentive and helpful - had 5 different staff stop by our table. Had a nice table next to the window for view of Lake Union, as requested. Waiter suggested "shrimp kisses" for appetizer - whole table raved about them! The 4 of us ordered different entrees and all were impressive to look at, however the flavors were just okay: The scallops were served pretty much raw and underseasoned. The salmon was supposed to have a pear-ginger "glaze" but no hint of any of that. On the Plus side: The sablefish and lingcod were cooked perfectly! Our out-of-town guests were happy they tried something new. Key Lime Pie was fabulous, and so was Choc. cake except it lacked the espresso flavor AND the beans that were described on menu.

The food was very overpriced. It was a birthday for me which meant they brought me a little dessert and candle BUT they didn't tell me, let me order and pay for another dessert. I didn't need two desserts. The parking was supposed to be $3.50 with a stamp from the restaurant but a time limit was not mentioned. My daughter who was there 20 minutes less than I, paid the $3.50. We had to pay $12.00 because we overstayed the invisible time limit. I will not go back.

The waiters and hosts were constantly interupting your meal. They came by 4 times, and just stood there staring, while my wife and I were having nice conversation. Quite irritating! Took an hour to get served. The ceasar salad is a home made vinegar and mayo dressing...not ceasar. Bread is stone cold.

We went for dinner before heading to McCaw hall for a concert. Stopped into bar first as it was still happy hour. Had a glass of wine, a shrimp cocktail and the blue cheese and bacon chips! (YUM!!!) Then we went up to dinner. Hubby wanted the sea bass, but found out they were out AFTER we ordered... completley chef's fault. Our waiter felt bad. So, hubby got the scallops with mushroom risotto. He really enjoyed his meal. I ordered the parmesean crusted Oregon fish (can't remember the name of the fish). It was ok, but the parmesean took over the taste and the fish was a tad "fishy". Next time I would order a baked or broiled fresh fish. It was a fun date night before our concert and enjoyed dinner. Happy Hour not to be missed!

Not my firat visit, the entire experience was left wanting. Waited more than 10 minutes at greeter station before anyone came around to seat us. Had a rsnvn for 6 people at 6 o'clock and the person who finally came to the station couldn't locate it - we had received a confirmation email so I was surprised. Quality of food was much below my previous experiences both at this location and the Naples Florida location. Had I not had better experiences before I would not try again. That said I'll give them another try sometime, though not anytime soon. Sorry to say something was terribly off this time.

I went there because they advertised a special steak and lobster for the Labor day week end. I was told they ran out the day before. So we finished our drinks, paid our $7 parking and left never to return. Always liked the food there and at the Seattle location. Unfortunately this was a 29th Anniversary.

The view of Lake Union is wonderful... perfect spot for out of town guests and tourists. And the fish we ordered was well-prepared. But the mashed potatoes were luke warm, bordering on cold; the cold slaw was soggy; the green beans were overcooked. Worse was the service, which was glacial. The waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. We were ready to order five or six minutes before she reappeared. One of our party insisted on giving her a second chance by ordering dessert. Same result: she gave us the menu and didn't return for twelve minutes!

Our server was covering the entire bar plus another section of 8+ tables. I felt bad for him, he was really sweet but totally overwhelmed with trying to cover happy hour customers in the bar and a table section. We ordered ice tea, but no one brought us sweetner or sugar. All the other tables around us got bread with their appetizers and salads. We finally found someone walking by and asked for service. The food was awful. There was no was taste or seasoning. The menu claimed my dish came prepared with a sauce, I couldn't find anything on my plate that resembled a "sauce". I would have mentioned this to our server, but he never came to the table to check on us after the food was delivered.

We had noted on the reservation that it was our anniversary. However, the restaurant didn't acknowledge that it was. Always before (we go to the Harborside every year for our anniversary) they would print a special menu stating which year anniversary we were celebrating. Very disappointed this year. The food was okay, not nearly as good as past years. Also, the service seemed very rushed and they were not at all busy so we just couldn't figure why they were in such a hurry to get us out of there. We went somewhere else for dessert and after dinner drinks.

Gorgeous view of Lake Union and all the people enjoying boats, SUPs, kayaks, etc on the water. Too bad the windows were so dirty in the restaurant. When the view is such an attraction at a restaurant like McCormick and Schmick's Harborside, they need to keep the windows cleaner. I was disappointed when the waiter forgot to ask me what side I wanted with my sandwich and instead just defaulted to the french fries. And the sandwich was stacked so tall it was impossible to eat like a sandwich! It all fell apart on my plate after covering my hands in crumbs and sauce. The items we ordered were very greasy - that was our fault for what we ordered. Dressing on the side for salad should not be overflowing on the plate.

this restaurant has one of the nicest views in Seattle. There is plenty of parking. the food is good but not excellent. The long cod was a bit bland. I know that it is a very mild fish but really it is a blank canvas awaiting the artistry of the chef. I would return but mostly for the view of the harbor and watching the airplanes taking off.

I regret to give less-than-positive feedback but based on my lunch reservation the food was mediocre which for the price is an undesirable experience. I ordered two calamari appetizers ($14 per, if I recall correctly) and the there wasn't much calamari in the order an there were more vegetables than calamari. What calamari there was seemed to have sat for some time as it wasn't warm. Let's just say it wasn't good... My meal had a big portion (salmon over rice). I believe quantity won out over quality. Luckily the view is great and the weather was good so the overall experience was average at best. On the upside the website was good for reservations. I liked the e-mail confirmation and reminder about the reservation sent the day prior.

We came for the view of lake union and all the yachts, seaplane action, kayaks, etc. That did not disappoint. My first impression was not great, as the chair seats and variety under the tables were very dirty. The restaurant was not busy at all as the last time we visited, so idle bus personnel could have been cleaning that. The menu had some great fish choices and we both enjoyed fresh halibut. Green beans were too al dente. Drinks were prepared well. Desserts nice. Wait staff were pleasant.

Great drinks and flavorful, varied happy hour menu. Offers a nice and very casually elegant space for entertaining while enjoying the view. Happy hour prices are attractive. Chose this restaurant for our out-of-town guests, and because it was previously top notch. We hoped that the mediocre service would not be notable if the food was superb, but no such luck. The salad was poor quality and bitter with way too much dressing, which was laced with garlic. The entrees were nothing special and were small in portion size. Above all, it was the service which made this experience so bad. We had to get up from the table twice, to go and find our server. He never smiled, and acted as if waiting on us was a nuisance.

My host, Neil Beaton, had never dined there before and was very impressed with the decor, view and menu. By the time we left, he said "I probably won't come back again." The service was terrible, one server for a large area. Our empty appetizer plate sat on the table for about 30 minutes, as did our dinner plates after that The food came up in good time, but the table was never bussed. When 2 people have a bill for almost $100, we expect far better service. We were both very disappointed. The food, however, was excellent. He had the sea bass and I had the mahi mahi

. Only one serving person for entire bar/deck area -- on a beautiful, warm, Saturday evening; . Music volume very, very LOUD. Asked the serving person if it could be turned down, and was advised that the volume level was set at the corporate level, and could not be changed. Odd. One of our party eventually went inside and spoke to someone, who turned the outside deck volume down -- much to the relief of all the tables; . Because only one serving person working the entire area, beverage and food delivery was very, slow, and sometimes things had to be requested multiple times; . Have been to this location many times -- but something was very off about this experience.

M&S Harborside has changed a lot since we last visited. The menu is still varied (prices on the high side) but we're not fans of the redecorating. Our table had a view of downtown with a partial view of the water and was separated from the other portion of the restaurant by a wall of curved seating arrangements. The other side of the restaurant had better water views. Service was excellent and the food was good but expensive. Our group had "under 21" diners so we couldn't take advantage of the outdoor bar area, which would have been a more lively (possibly cheaper) and sunny experience.

This was my second try at the Harborside McCormick and Schmick. The first time, I gave them the excuse that it was a busy night and so quality of food standards were not being kept because of the rush. This visit, however, the restaurant was quite empty and the food, again, was very poor. I only ate 10% of my plate, and that was all side dishes. Even with all of the food on my plate and refusing a to-go box, our server did not ask if the meal had been okay. Also, although it is not required, a standard of a great restaurant is attention to detail like asking if there is a special occasion being celebrated. This was my birthday dinner that I didn't even eat and cost me over $60. I will not be returning.
