The food was not up to past standards. Ordered a whole crab and it came that way. Only the top shell was loose. None of the pieces was even cracked, and the waiter offered to separate the main body as it was beyond my strength to break it. The bread was meager and tough. Not the usual FRESH, warm sourdough that has become a standard at San Francisco restaurants. Great location and view, disappointing food.

We ended our trip here because of the spectacular view. We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation time to a half empty restaurant and was told we couldn't be seated for about 20 minutes. We had a drink at the bar and should have left after that. We sat there for about 15 minutes before a waiter arrived and it was spotty from there. The lobster bisque soup which is a staple at this food chain was oily and had some green drizzle on the top I couldn't figure out. I wanted the seared tuna without the cajun spicing and they brought sashimi tuna. It was ok. This place is expensive, so have a drink at the bar and enjoy the view and leave for a one of the hundreds of other better restaurants in the area.

We have been happily going to McCormick & Kuleto's for many years. Last Sunday my wife, our two cousins from Ireland and I, lunched there. It took 35 minutes to get our bottle of wine, longer than that to get the not very good oysters,(two of the menu oysters were not available) and the patrole soul was dry and over cooked. The best part of our experience was the table location.

Given its location in the heart of the Wharf area, this could be just another tourist churn and burn restaurant. On the contrary, the food was very well prepared, portions were generous and the service was excellent. Our waiter, Justin, was not only prompt and attentive as he should be, but made us all comfortable with his humor and personality. Extensive menu, good cocktails and reasonable, yet deep wine list. We would go back without hesitation.

We should have listened to the reviews that said the service was terrible. By far the worst I have ever experienced especially for the price. The server even went as far as claiming my fiance was lying about the time we sat at our table - never apologized for her inappropriate comments, unprofessionalism or the lack of service we received. The manager was very apologetic and tried to make our evening as enjoyable as possible. The food was mediocre at best and rather tasteless. We will most definitely never be returning nor recommend it to anyone which is unfortunate because the view is amazing.

Excellent location and service. Food was good. If you're looking for a fancy spot with a great view, in a great neighborhood, then this would be one of the places to go. The Salmon and the Beef Medallions were definitely the better of our four dishes.

It was one of the worst experiences my husband and I, as well as a friend, whom we invited, have had in our considerable experience in dining out. Our "waiter" brought (in order of occurrence} drinks not ordered by us (twice) wrong appetizers as well as entrees ! Finally other waiters after an hours wait on our part, brought us our meals. We are all San Francisco residents and would never go back!

We have been to the restaurant off and on for several years. This time we went for our son's 10 year old birthday. We got a great booth, he loved the food, and the drinks were awesome. My daughter and I shared some wonderful King Crab Legs and the mussels with chorizo were delicious...

Had a wonderful meal on the SF waterfront @ Fisherman's Wharf. Incredible views at dusk. We had the Lobster bisque soup which had lots of lobster meat in it and was delicious but needed a splash of something (sherry) to make it perfect. The dungeness crab cake appetizer was outstanding. For our entrees, we had the pan seared sea scallops and the lime ginger pacific snapper. Both were excellent. Service was very efficient but not overly friendly.

Was a place I use to go to celebrate birthdays and to recommend to tourists, but not anymore. Portions were small (compared to previous visits)especially the calamari, I even had to ask if that was a half portion. Vegetable sides on the grilled fish orders were overdone and wilted. I order "Chef Romero's Featured items" ....Bacon Crusted Sturgeon....received the grilled sturgeon instead and returned that, when I received my correct order, it looked as if it was thrown together.....very bland, nothing special. The only thing that was good was the free dessert for the birthday.

Great place to take out of town guests for a fantastic view and decent food, comfortable seating, though it is quite expensive. The stuffed salmon was fantastic, good New England chowder, so-so scallops, sourdough bread a bit rubbery. Repeated problems (big delays) with our alcoholic beverage orders, apparently because they were to come from the backed-up bar. But I would return.

Me and my boyfriend were looking for a restaurant with beautiful decor, and came across McCormick and kuleto. We had an amazing experience there. And the views from out table were gorgeous!

Ordered salmon. Arrived over 45 minutes later, cooked dry. Returned to kitchen. Came back over 15minutes later with sauce (supposed to be on the side). Told that entree would be 'comped'...but then told it was not allowed. Finally, 'comped' by manager. Ate only a little bit of dinner...lost appetite.

This restaurant was a huge mistake. Server took our drinks and appetizer order within 5 minutes. Drinks arrived within reasonable amount of time, however the appetizer took a while. We ordered our main course (Shrimp scampi and grilled Snapper) while enjoying our appetizer. 30 minutes later server comes back to tell us they were out of Snapper. We did not want to wait too long for food, so we replaced it with fish & chips. Our dinner entrees finally arrived an hour later (server nowhere to be seen). When we checked the final bill, we were charged for drinks we did not order. It was a terrible experience and we were left alone for most of the 2 hours it took them to serve our food. Never visiting this restaurant again.

I have eaten there before and it was great...that is why we made reservations to come back. The service was terrible, very slow due to being short staffed.on a holiday weekend in San Francisco they should have been fully staffed. Food service was slow and our food was cold. I was very disappointed this time.

Tuna Tartare preparation was odd / not very good - ordering a filet at a seafood restaurant wasn't a good call, as it came back wayyy overcooked, then had to wait 15 minutes for the re-fire. Drinks / service / views were great though.

My goodness! From the open table reservation option (always easy!) to the greeter, to our wonderful server, Henry, to the fabulous view and even more fabulous food, this restaurant cannot be beat! The prices were about the same as most places of this caliber, but the location right in Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco was convenient. Make a reservation! The place is huge, and for our last evening in SF, they escorted us to a very secluded-seeming table, even though the place was crowded, the placement of the tables made it seem very private. I highly recommend this place!

We visited as a group of five in the family with ages mostly in the teens. View of SF Bay was amazing as we were seated right by the windows. Michael was our waiter and made the experience a great and memorable one. Menu includes a lot of options and I have never been disappointed with the food quality coming from other McCormick's I have visited and McCormick and Kuleto was no exception. Delivery of food was timely, Michael was very knowledgeable about all things on the menu and even gave us a recommendation for the dessert we had planned nearby at Ghiradelli. Definitely a great experience dining in San Francisco.

I have been to this restaurant several times over the and 10 years and always remembered it for the outstanding food. I can no longer say it is memorable. The Calamari appetizer used to be outstanding, crisp and plentiful and now it is soggy small mess with chilies thrown in. We ate there Thursday night and it is now Sunday and I cant really remember what I had for a main meal. I do remember the cheesecake two of use shared for desert - it was billed as a NY Cheesecake but I would say it came from a Betty Crocker recipe book from the 60's! Our waiter was great though and the view is nice!
