McAdoo'sExcellentMy second visit within a couple of months, both at lunch time. First with a group of about 20 and second with daughter and son in law. Both times the food and service were truly outstanding. Varied menu...loved it all.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebrated our 15th anniversary.Celebrated our 15th anniversary. Open Table used to set reservation. Available appointments were slim so thought the place would be packed.
Arrived 30 mins before our reservation and were told they were slow so we were seated immediately. Great bit then kinda bummed cause we could have eaten much earlier had more tables been avail when setting reservations.
Maybe they leave more tables for walk in?
Otherwise food was amazing. Service was exceptional.
Prices a bit pricey but for special occasions its ok to splurge.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMcadoo's is a must!My husband an I spent our 1 year anniversary here and we were not disappointed. Great food and drink. I had the chiliean seabass and my husband had the pan seared Alaskan halibut. Both highly recommended. The service was amazing! We sat in the bar area because our table wasn't ready when we arrive, but wasn't a problem. Beautiful building inside and out, a great atmosphere! Our entire experience here was overall perfect and we can't wait to go back.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Experience. Managed well.My three kids and I took Mom out for early Mother's Day dining. Wedge lettuce with blue cheese best I have ever eaten. Entree of shrimp melts in mouth. Potato wedges to die for. Noise level a bit high but tolerable. Best food in New Braunfels ..service prompt and efficient.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMcAcoo's Can DoMcAdoo's Restaurant is very pretty, very welcoming. The service is very good. Do try a Bloody Mary. McAdoo's has a unique twist on the Bloody Mary concept. They have a dressing bar. You get your drink - you pick the kind of tomato base and the type of Vodka, and then go to the bar to dress it.
We had the steak and eggs (from the brunch menu)and shrimp gumbo, stuffed shrimp, and a Cajun enchilada from the lunch menu (the very best enchilada I have ever had). All good but pricey. This is great place for a special occasion.
For a less filling alternative, just get the Bloody Mary and an appetizer! Perfect!!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service (at least ourGreat service (at least our waitress) and great food.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThoroughly enjoyed it andThoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go again. It's exactly what you want for Sunday brunch, a fresh approach to brunch, not just traditional pancakes and bacon, attentive staff, and a great value for your money.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed the brunch,We really enjoyed the brunch, but the long line and being out of several food items was disappointing. It seemed as if the large turn out was not expected.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWhere else in South TexasWhere else in South Texas can you get either BLUE POINT or GULF oysters FRESHLY shucked?

Thanks McAdoosI made this reservation for my daughter and her prom date. We knew they'd love it because we've visited as a family. We drive in from San Antonio and it's well worth the trip. Great food and service. Working on getting our friends to join us at McAdoos after church one Sunday.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMcAdoo's has a fair good selectionMcAdoo's has a fair good selection of Cajun specialities (Red Beans & Rice, Cajun Rice, Crawfish Boil) as well as a TexMex twist to Louisiana's dishes such as crawfish enchiladas, blackened fish tacos, etc. I usually browse in the selections of fish and crab legs, yum!
For dinner, I shared the crawfish boil with my wife. It had shrimp, potatoes, corn, and crawfish! At first, the boil was surprising not as spicy as I had expected from the beginning, but it came after downing a few of the delicious crawdads! It is a definite must during season, if not, try the tempting fish selection!2/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
