  • "Been here many times. Food is always excellent, and great service. Go on Friday or Saturday night as they also have a belly dancer with first show around 8:00 pm. Being that I am of middle eastern descent this restaurant serves many of the dishes the way my mom & grandmother used to make."

  • "Three of us went to dine for a Friday night meal. The beginning of our meal started out with a bang! Delicious toasted pita bread with a garlic dip. Two of us had lamb which was very dried out. The filet mignon delicious! Barbecue shrimp was yummy. Sangria was fabulous! The major pitfall of our experience was the loud music followed by belly dancing. The music went from loud to ridiculous when the dancing began!"

  • "Great food. The atmosphere is more conducive to large groups than a cozy date spot. "

  • "I haven't been at Mazza for a long time, perhaps the fact that it's not a restaurant that attracts kids, and my child as it is understandable, prefers to go to other places. I went with a friend that wanted something different, and we were not disappointed at all, the food was tasty, fresh and we had variety. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, but few times we wanted to ask for something and he was not around, and that night there were only few tables occupied at that time. "

  • "The place is not fancy at all but the food is outstanding. "

  • "First time we went here, everything was great. This time, not so much. I think what set off the bad vibe was the young hostess (dark wavy hair, who also helps re-stock silverware, plates, etc), maybe she is related to the owner or something, but she was terribly rude and very unwelcoming, as if we were bothering her. We arrived 15 min early than our reservation and she rudely told us that she couldnt seat us until our exact reservation time (even though there were tables available). When she went to seat us at a table, we asked if a nearby booth was available and she told us it would take time to clean it (there was only the previous party's check on the table). The waiter was great, our food was only so-so, it was very dry and flavorless"

  • "Food is awesome, portioned well for a good lunch. Service is ok. First time we went, our server forgot our basmati rice and still wanted to charge us but after speaking with another waiter, it was removed. The second time we went our waiter was really good( we were a group of 10). He kept our drinks coming and our food didn't take long to come out. He spoke to us in spanish ans English ( my parents only speaking spanish) and was very attentive. Food is delicious. Saturday nights a belly dancer dances in the restaurant. Good entertainment for about an hour. The wine list was very limited and bit pricey, but "

  • "It is a nice family restaurant. The best Tabule I have eaten in years. The Kibbe is excellent and I loved the Humus and Falafe. Desserts are awesome. The servvice is outstanding and prices are reasonable. Good wines have great prices. The food is healthy and light, we ate late night on friday and slept like a baby."

  • "We enjoyed our second visit to Mazza. We tried some different entrees this time and they were delicious. We saved room for dessert and were glad we did!"

  • "We had a extremely enjoyable first dinner at Mazza. The pita and house dip were terrific, as were the drunken haloumi and vegetarian stuffed grape leaves appetizers. My wife loved the butternut squash ravioli. I had the salmon, which was very tasty, but was a steak rather than a fillet (not my particular favorite cut of salmon). I would probably try something else next time we visit. The service was friendly and the prices are very reasonable. It's nice to have such a unique restaurant in Broward County, and we would definitely recommend Mazza to our friends."

  • "Very nice place tucked in a shopping center, awesome belly dancing show every friday and Saturday evenings. Food is good too."

  • "The Food at Mazza is really terrific, but the meal we had was almost completely overshadowed by the fact that we were freezing! This restaurant is WAY too cold. It hasn't kept us from coming back yet, but I always think twice about what to wear there because it is so cold!"
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "The only thing I didn't like was that we were a party of 14 and we only had one waitor. Most of the plates were cold too when they were brought out."

  • "Mazza was better the second time, than first. Our food was very good and the service was very good. We will eat here again."

  • "Mazza offers daily specials. We often go for the Monday special which we enjoy very much. However, on this occasion and also another one previously the waiter seemed unfamiliar with it and wanted to charge us the regular price. The owner, who knows better, was not present so it resulted in an unpleasant exchange and will preclude our returning because of this. It's too bad because we enjoy the foold and we know the owner would not have liked what transpired twice."

  • "We are always trying to find gourmet dining in our neighborhood, and we found Mazza. The food was just amazing! Everything we had from the Toom to the baklava was a pleasure to eat! We ordered the appetizer platter and it was the best hummus, babaganosh, and stuffed grape leaves I have ever had. We ordered the whole baked snapper for our entree- the fish was perfectly prepared and just melted in my mouth. I was so pleased to know that there are owners who care about what they are serving- the owner was overseeing everything that came out of the kitchen. But this result was a perfect meal. He came around to every table and when my husband said his seat was a little uncomfortable, the owner got him a pillow!"

  • "Once again, Mazza delivers. The bonus this time was having my mom there for the experience. She was used to a certain type of "Mediterranean". However, the Lebanese twist took her a tad out of her element. The kitchen quickly adapted her Gyro platter to just what she was expecting. Which turned the entire table to smiles. Attention to culinary detail is always there. Basmati rice is my favorite (yeah, it's rice, I know). I've stated before this is my wife's go-to spot. I get it."

  • "Four of us all loved the food; service was slow even though they had like 10 waiters! The seats were wood and uncomfortable!!!!"

  • "our first time, the food was great. Had a variety of apps/small plates. Go for the food, not for the atmosphere. Pilar, our server, was helpful and gracious."

  • "We keep returning to Mazza and bringing friends. The food is always good. The evening is uncrushed, but the service is attentive. Faris, the owner, is always supervising the wonderful Lebanese Mediterranean menu."

  • "We always have a great time at Mazza. It's a great place to bring your out of town guests. They will love it as much as you. The only area where I see room for improvement is the bar. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and it tasted like it had little to no alcohol. It was also very watered down. Other than that, the food was excellent and the entertainment was awesome!"

  • "We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere . We'll be going back"

  • "The service has always been bad, but the good food always kept me coming back. Today that changed. To start, what was once a creamy delight of a garlic dip has turned into the equivalent of eating a whole head of raw garlic. Then after waiting way too long our beef shawarma was delivered (because of course they didn't have my first choice which was lamb kebob.) We've had the beef shawarma numerous times but today it was like it came from a whole other restaurant. Firstly, the plate was half full, less food than what we get during lunch which is when we usually come. The basmati rice which should be a no brainier was bland and the hummus was a light streak on the plate almost as an afterthought. The beef shawarma? Acidic and forgettable."

  • "Very good Mediterranean food -ambience friendly and simple- belly dancer fun to watch we will definitely go back. Desserts good also."

  • "I just moved to the area and wanted to see what was close to me that was a great find. I would not recommend this restaurant nor will I return. My lamb was too well done and the hummus and pita I can make better at home."

  • "First time visit. The food was very tasty, the prices reasonable and the entertainment was a nice bonus. The service is better than usual, overall, a very nice night."

  • "Wife and I stopped in for weekday lunch at her fave spot. I love their basmati rice, she loves everything on their menu, a Mediterranean foodie. She prefers Mazza over Big Fat Greek because the food is prepared in a fresher, healthier manner. Once again, the Toom and pita just compliments every meal there so perfectly. Even for a non-believer such as myself. The sampler is the perfect "leftovers for dinner" choice for my wife. Yes, the dinner scene heats up with a fire eater, but my cash is spent at a time when I can allow the food to reign."

  • "We had the family in for my wife's birthday and since this is her favorite restaurant, we anticipated another great experience. However, what we got was a wait as a half-filled restaurant watched as the servers congregated by the window awaiting their orders. There was one group of ten that was being attended to: however, there were nine other tables in the restaurant. Our server was not focused on us, and did not have the ten-top, so it was frustrating when the birthday girl had to complain twice during the evening. First for the food to arrive 50 minutes after our order was placed. Second, when the bill was incorrect and had to be corrected. Otherwise, the food was great, fire eater was entertaining... disappointing."

  • "Have eaten here several times and the food and service is consistently good. Reynaldo was our waiter and he's been there for years and he's always got great service and a great attitude. The prices are also very fair (especially with their new menu). My wife and I had a very nice romantic "night out" together and it was great. We will definitely be back."

  • "This place does it right and offers fresh food & a good variety. If you are looking for something different you should definately give this place a try. The hummus, salads and grilled meats were all terrific."

  • "This place is simple and clean and they offer lots of variety. Our visit was for lunch and they started you off with some warm pita like bread with garlic dip. We then ordered the eggplant dip which was also very good. For lunch we tried a salad & chicken Shish kabob sandwich. Both were very good. The sandwich came with hummus which also Excellent. I can't wait to have business in the area again soon so I can go back. There are many other menu items that I want to sample."

  • "Always love the food. But we try to time our visit well before the belly dancer does her first set. If you go with friends, talking becomes very difficult once the dancer begins. She is always entertaining, but the volume of the music ruins the experience. We find ourselves shouting to each other and anxiously waiting for her set to end. The food is so good that we come back dispite this very annoying feature. There have been times that we felt like eating here, but just didn't want to battle the loud music."

  • "Lunch is only an hour. We asked our waitress for water and she forgot and when reminded, because we had to call for her. She did not come by to see if everything was okay. For lunch the service is too slow. Please train your servers to come by and when they do come to the table, take away anything from the table. Empty plates, bottles etc. Why seat us at a table that is not set-up. Why doesn't every table have salt and pepper? Tables wobble. My server never gave me a receipt and when I asked for it, all she could say is she didn't know what happened to it. I asked for original bill and she didn't know what happened to it. I do not know if she did not understand English or she was simply slow and should find another profession."

  • "My boyfriend and I love this place!! We pretty much always get the same thing- veggie grape leaves (cold), chicken or filet kebabs. Their food is amazing and we LOVE the Tume (not sure how to spell tume) sauce with pita bread! We were a little disappointed that it took about 5 solid minutes for a waitress to come to our table, especially because there were only 3 other tables taken. But once she came to our table, she was great!"

  • "Wait times were ridiculous. Young staff working who didn't seem to want to be there, eyeing the belly dancer and playing with their phones. The food was overcooked and over seasoned. My wife ordered the moussaka. It was so bad she had 2 bites and left the entire dish. I've had elementary school cafeteria sheppard's pie that tasted better than this. My kafta kabobs were burnt on the outside, leather like on the inside. There was a private party that evening and the owner was to busy catering to the private party thus ignoring other patrons. If you want a show then this place isn't to bad. If you want a good meal for your money, which by the way we spent close to $200 for a party of four. Definetly go elsewhere!"
