It's a shame that such wonderful food is wasted on a restaurant that has a terrible atmosphere - all loud, hard surfaces - and staff was indifferent and delivered terrible service. Although everyone who came in asked for a booth, all were denied. The booths remained empty the entire time I was in the restaurant. Instead, all the diners were bunched up in tiny tables where we were practically sitting on each other's laps. This restaurant should consider take out - sadly the only thing worthwhile was the food, but it was not good enough to overcome the space and rude service.

Having been to Gordon Ramsay restaurants in the UK, and been amazing at the execution, I had high hopes. Maze does well, but is a peg or two down from his other efforts. A great Kale salad, good wine, but the overall execution and the waitstaff fell short of my high expectations.

Heard about Gordon Ramsay's beef Wellington so went to try it on our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, service was good too. We started with two special cocktails. Then we had scallop and tuna tartar as appetizers. The tartar was a bit salty, scallop was great. Then we have beef Wellington (for 2). Again, it was good, beef was tender, went great with mushroom sauce inside and the portion was big enough. My wife loved the dessert, chocolate decadence. It was a special occasion for us to travel far to New York City's famous restaurant of Gordon Ramsay. Everything was good but for his name and over $200 bill I expect more than that.

My wife and I are used to look for great dinning experiences. You would expect no less from Maze holding the name of GR, but we were not amazed at all. Hard time trying to understand english from any of the waiters. Service was completely poor for what you might expect. Food was actually good, is really well executed, not so much creative but well presented. There were a few options of wines by the glass, the Pinot seemed a low range for 20 a glass. Im glad to have tried it, but dont think I'll come back on the next trip to NY.is trendy and nice, little overpriced that relies too much in the GR name. Overall experience under the expectation for a 250 check. Im glad to have tried but dont think I'll come back on the next trip to NY.

The restaurant was very nice, I had made reservations through open table and stated it was for my anniversary. Dining at Maze was truly a wonderful experience from the welcome to service to food! We ordered the chef tasting menu (5 course)and requested a wine pairing. Each course was beautifully presented (visually & described) & absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, and flavours delightful. The portions were generous & we were quite full. The sommelier did a fantastic job at pairing the wines to each course. I must comment on the impeccable service. The servers & sommelier had a great sense of timing, they were attentive, knowledgable & professional. A perfect meal & experience to remember.

We had the beef wellington, which we have been wanting to try Gordon's Wellington for so long, and it did not disappoint. This meal was the best meal we had in NYC while we were there for a week. We were unaware that Maze & Gordon Ramsay at the London were two separate restaurants and were a little bummed that we missed the finer dining, but we really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely go back.

I cannot express how bad my plate was at Gordon Ramzy's restaurant. For 29$ I received a Bronzino filet which was burnt on the skin and freezing on the other side. That's not the worst part, as a side it comes with farro which was cold and tasteless. It had a few frozen broccoli and tomatoes mixed in it. And to top it all off a sauce across the plate that was completely DRY as of the place had been sitting in the kitchen for four hours before serving it. Completely DRY, it was disgusting. No sign of pistachio or lemon emulsion. Anyways I would run away from this restaurant it's awful, expensive and if your a real foodie you should STAY AWAY there's a bunch of great places near here if you just look and research a little.

4 of us went to Maze for dinner this past weekend. Decor was modern, simple and elegant. Lighting was appropriate. Started with some drinks in the adjacent lounge and then moved to our table for dinner. Amongst our table, we had the Grilled watermelon salad, scallop risotto, grilled lobster, beef wellington (for 2) with fries and mushrooms for sides. Everything that we orderd was fabulous. Not a bad morsel of food was served. For dessert we split the Key Lime Cheesecake and the Chocolate Decadence. They were gorgeous, creative and tasty. I love the creativity of the food and the desserts. I found our service to be excellent and I thought the prices were appropriate for the qualify of food.

The food was excellent, however the waiters were inattentive and would gone for 30 minutes or longer. It took forever to get glasses refilled with water. Unfortunately, it appeared that they were more attentive to white diners. I was not even given a wine bottle list, however I noticed that the white diners were. Last year I bought a $150.00 bottle of wine while staying at the London. The restaurant staff has gone down.

Hitting this restaurant you would expect that the risotto and beef wellington are perfectly executed. We were in the casual side of the London and were not disappointed. My wife had the risotto and I had the fish & chips. Both were excellent. Couples flanking either side get the wellington, both very pleased. We are definitely going back. Our only debate, hit the casual side wellington or the formal side restaurant.....who am I kidding. We will probably do both over a couple of visits.

My party and I decided to have dinner at Maze as a treat for my mothers birthday. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I am a huge fan of Gordan Ramsey and I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit one of his restaurants on my holiday in New York, after traveling to Ireland. We were greeted by a very pleasant staff member but here is where the pleasant service finished. The staff in the lounge were ignorant and ignored our request for drinks. Our server nearly dropped 2 plates on my sister and did not apologise and asked her to MOVE so he could clean up his mess. Most of the time the servers didn't understand English. I did enjoy my food and so did most of my party, however due to the poor service I won't be returning.

We were so excited to go to this restaurant, it was the first place we booked when we found out we were going to New York. The waiter could have cared less about us. He walked by our table many times but would not make eye contact. We finally had to ask him go come take our order. He never asked if we would like a drink from the bar. We wanted wine so again, we had to ask him if he would take our order. The food was good but the service was so bad that it ruined our experienc. We ordered scallops, crab cakes, beef Wellington and dessert. Next time we spend $234.00 for dinner, we will choose another restaurant. Very disappointed fans of Gordon Ramsey. Hot spot??? I was looking forward to trying Maze so when I got tickets for a nearby show I thought it was the perfect time to try it. I take no pleasure in saying that I was sorely disappointed. The hamachi did not taste fresh. The flatbread was uninspired. The salad was overdressed. The tuna tartare wasn't bad but I've had better at a fraction of the cost. The beer and wine was also overpriced and not exceptional.

The food was ok but nothing to get excited about. Beef Wellington was ok but Crispy Brussels not crispy at all. Not a hint of truffle oil in the wild truffle mushrooms. The restaurant had more of a feel of a cafeteria than a casual dining room. The condition of the restrooms were filthy with debris all over the floor and soap dispensers empty. At prime time dining! Not the standard that we would expect from any restaurant, much less one associated with Gordon Ramsey's name.

So my family decided to take me to Maze by Gordon Ramsay for my birthday because I am a huge foodie and love Gordon Ramsay. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the duck confit tater tots, spicy crab toast and crab cakes for apps. My husband and I shared the Beef Wellington with french fries and sauteed mushrooms as sides. It was cooked to perfection and everything you would imagine it tastes like watching it on TV. My older daughter had the Bay scallop risotto which was fabulous and the younger daughter had the fettuccine which we got with shrimp instead of the mussels. For dessert we got 2 orders of chocolate decadence which was outrageous. All in all we were very happy with the food. The service was meh. Waiter was MIA a few times

I brought my wife here for our one year wedding anniversary. It was the second Gordon Ramsay restaurant we've been to (the other one was in Las Vegas), and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and the beef wellingtons (for two people) as the entree. Both were incredible and met our expectations for a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. The decor was trendy and created a great atmosphere for dinner. We would definitely come back again if we visit NYC.

The feel of the resteraunt when entering was one of quality and a professional staff. That somewhat changed when we asked our waiter for his opinions on Gordon's signature dished like the beef wellington and the risotto with scallops. He did not like them and recommended other dishes. My wife and I were shocked so we did as he recommended. The people next to us ordered the wellington and risotto and absolutely loved it. Now don't get me wrong the food was very good, but just not what we wanted. Portions are small but satisfying. Conversations were uncomfortable due to the very close proximity to your neighboring diners. Overall we really enjoyed it and will be back to try Gordon's signature dish.
