MaysvilleBourbon, great service, good foodCome here for an incredible selection of bourbon and food that complements it. Warm cornbread to start was wonderful and dishes were mostly well prepared -- nicely assembled beet salad, shrimp appetizer in broth, perfectly cooked halibut. But several bites of pork loin entree were fatty (and not in a good way) -- a bad piece, or just poorly trimmed? Ingredients seemed fresh and good overall and but nothing really knocked me out in terms of flavor. A little pricey relative to our enjoyment. To close on a positive note: Service was superb -- highly competent and appropriately attentive without being overly mannered or overbearing. Great teamwork between all staff. Final verdict: we'd come back for a few drinks and small plates at the bar.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat cocktails. WonderfulGreat cocktails. Wonderful food. Lively after work crowd.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat did you say?so loud as to be unpleasant

Whiskey Milk Fizz and the house Bloody Mary with chipotle were our table favorite drinks. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDinesOutI have been to this restaurant several times. I have been for dinner twice and for brunch. The food is excellent and gives just the right nod to southern tradition. The grits with country ham are a stand out. The trout is a hit as well. Great flavors and a nice room. You of course will want to go for the bourbon selection. I was there for a Kentucky Derby celebration and sampled an excellent barrel aged mint julep. I will go back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you like Whiskey and Bourbon...Maysville has both a great bar with interesting whiskey and bourbon based cocktails, and an inventive American menu. The beet salad was beautiful, and bits of peanut brittle made it interesting. The oysters were briny and fresh, and all the main courses were delicious. If you want to have a conversation with your tablemates, ask for the back room. Otherwise sit in the bar room and watch the scene.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMaysville the consistentKeep coming back maysville. Everythignwas delicous as always but more than anything liking that menu is ever changing to give customers diversity. The cornbread served for bread service is still one of the best in the city. Perfect every time and warm. Be sure to try the smoked oysters and the beet salad which was very refreshing and the quinoa add there really take it over to top. Well done.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service, great food,Great service, great food, excellent choice for bourbon . Has a certain southern flair in several dishes.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWent to Maysville for theWent to Maysville for the first time to have brunch. Impressive. Food and service (and enormous bourbon list) were excellent. Am eager to try Maysville for dinner.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMCocktails and food were veryCocktails and food were very good, but priced a little high. We were a group of 4 and ordered 2 dishes from the For the Table section - Crispy Grits and the Crispy Oysters. Both were tasty, but the Crispy Grits won us over. We each ordered Entrees - all were good but portions were small. For dessert, we shared the cheese platter and apple/ice dessert, again both small. Wine list was big, but pretty expensive bottles. Cocktails were very good, bourbon based but expected since this is restaurant is all about "Food and Bourbon". All in all, everything tasted really good, but everything seemed to be price high. We left happy (from all the drinks), but still a tad bit hungry (from the small portions).4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food. Great cocktails.Great food. Great cocktails. Small portions. Big prices.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMaysville is a MUSTville. This meal was outstanding. While waiting for my friends I had a cocktail that really did set the stage for what was to come. I decided to try the first cocktail on the menu – from bourbon section called the Noreaster. I don't think I'd ever had bourbon but I'm converted. It was the most refreshing and balanced glass I'd ever had. Since a review of the grits bought me here, I was a bit taken aback by the "deep fried" concept. But the waiter took time to explain the dish and I'm so glad he did because it was a pop of deliciousness, savory, hitting all the right notes. That was the case with everything that came to our table. I can't wait to go back!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Spot, Terrific FoodMaysville is very good. We were there for brunch and had a tasty and professionally served meal. The service team is friendly, attentive and pleasant. The menu and offerings are not your typical, which makes Maysville a winner and entirely worth the visit. We live in the 'hood and walk by Maysville in the evening frequently. We can tell that people have 'discovered' the excellent place that Maysville is by the busy restaurant (nicely decorated and lit) and the bar. Cheers... nice addition to this NoMad / Chelsea neighborhood. Thanks !4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, amazing scotchGood food, amazing scotch selection. If you are not a scotch/ whiskey drinker. Stay home. This place is not for you. If you are... Get up and go.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat selection of bourbonsGutted they ran out of the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale half way through the night. That just shows how good it was though.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMaysville A MustThe experience was outstanding. The menu has great variety. Food was outstanding. Expansive wine list with some affordable finds. Service was impeccable.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSit facing the bar. For aSit facing the bar. For a Kentucky boy, it was the best view I've ever found in this city. Plan to do some tasting as well. A very helpful manager led me to some fun tastes. And while the bourbon got us in the door, the food was an excellent surprise. A well-curated menu, for sure - the highlight of which for me was the Arctic char. I'll be back regularly!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you like smokey favor andIf you like smokey favor and bourbon. This is the place.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNotable wine list here reallyNotable wine list here really means notable bourbon list. This place is incredible. My friend and I spent basically the entire day there, drinking finely crafted bourbon cocktails and enjoying Chef Knall's innovative take on Southern classics. I wish I could spend every Sunday at Marysville.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe crispy grits appetizerThe crispy grits appetizer and the chicken entrée were both fantastic. Bourbon list is second to none in the city.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI planned on taking my boyfriendI planned on taking my boyfriend here for his birthday (he loves whiskey) but the only issue is that I am a vegetarian and the restaurant had only one non-meat option.
When I called to confirm my reservation, I mentioned this to the woman I was speaking with at the front desk and she assured me I they encounter this type of issue all the time and provided me with a list of menu options that I could substitute the meat for. However, when I mentioned this to my waiter he seemed surprised and not very willing to help.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great service.Good food, great service. Other than it being very loud (really poor acoustics, here), Maysville was pretty decent. The chicken was amazing and the brussel sprouts are not to be missed!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I had lunch withMy wife and I had lunch with our son (he's 30). And we were all surprised and pleased. The bartender was our server and he was great (plus he knows a lot about bourbon). Everything was good - we would definitely go back!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is an excellent additionThis is an excellent addition to the restaurant and bar scene in the Flatiron district. The food was superb. The bar scene was vibrant and the selection of Bourbons was just amazing!
The bartenders were a bit overwhelmed. It was really busy. Our glasses sat empty for a while. The wine selection as presented on the wine list was very good but they did not have the first two wines that we selected.
Great overall restaurant/bar. We'll definitely come back.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you are a bourbon fan,If you are a bourbon fan, this place is for you. Huge bourbon selection with great cocktails.
