"The Mayo Family Winery Tasting and Food Pairing is the ultimate wine country discovery in terms of both quality and price(as evidenced by the Wall St. Journal's recommendation.) The selection is outstanding and the small plate food pairing is the best I have ever had! The frosting on the cake is the attention to detail (in a friendly informative manner which should satisfy both the novice and experienced wine lover) in explaining the Mayo wine's in terms of their growing conditions and details of aging as well as why the pairings enhance the special qualities of the individual wines. It is not way off the beaten yet is also not over run by loud obnoxious revelers. This is a very special experience and I highly recommend recommend it!"

"The pairing of 7 foods with 7 wines was perfection. Not huge amounts of food, just the right amount to enjoy the wine. Chef was very knowlegable of both the food and wine. The best pairing we had in Sonoma County - and we tried many."

"The food and wine pairing at the Mayo Reserve Room was a great experience and a nice break from the tasting room routine. We scheduled the appointment at 3:00 PM which was a perfect break between lunch and dinner. Seven small food and wine pairings each introduced by the chef was an outstanding value for $35. The room is small and there are only a few groups at each appointment. Each group is set up at their own table or at the bar and proceed at their own pace which we also enjoyed. Allow two hours."

"The food was great. The tastings got better as I went along! My personal favorite was the polenta topped with osso bucco-yummy! I also greatly appreciated the knowledgable and friendly staff. A return visit is in the works!"
