We came here for our bridal brunch and it was so much fun! They set us up with DIY mimosas. The food, as always was so delicious. Standouts were chilaquiles, chile relleno, chicken and biscuits, and of course, the greens! Texas comfort food! Yum!

Overly expensive for what we got. The salad was awful, it was croutons with a little spinach. We had been before and the summer menu was good but I had to go to the bar to order drinks because we were totally ignored for the first ten minutes after we got there. The fall menu left a lot to be desired. Tables were close together. I do not plan on returning.

This is a favorite for us, primarily for BRUNCH... Great food/wonderful mimosas/ reasonable price. Two peaves: This place is CAVEY, and i am claustrophobic. I ALWAYs request window seating, and the hostess (or whomever) doesn't read the note on Open Table reservation, and we are taken back 'into the cave' to be seated. Why not read the notes? Secondly, several times we have received cold food. This is a difficult issue for brunch, as some items cool so quickly, but since you SERVE brunch, you gotta get it to table HOT.

Myself and two friends decided to try Max's Wine Dive as part of restaurant week. The redfish egg rolls were very good. An ample amount of kale salad was you simple basic salad. The pork loin was cooked perfectly and went well with the cornbread salsa and whipped sweet potatoes. I will return to try their famous fried chicken- waiter insisted!! Our waiter, Trevor, was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. My friends and I did share the bacon sugar cookie which was delicious with the mascarpone ice cream. Great experience..will go back.

I initially came for the Restaurant Week menu but ended up getting their popular dish - fried chicken. From the starters to the dessert, everything was southern cooking that you're familiar with - it's delicious and totally comfort food but it has the gourmet twist. Ingredients were fresh and the flavors were incredible. I will definitely be back.

The food choices both on the fixed menue (Drunk Bread, Mac-n-cheese, oysters, etc.) and the Chef's Seasonal menue (Red Fish Eggroll, etc.) are not only exceptional tasty but are fun eclectic menues. Oh, and did I mention the fried chicken and the indescribable delicious turnip greens! And by the way, the fantastic wine selection have depth and are hard to chose from so many great choices. We look forward to trying the rest of the menue. With the choices we enjoyed, I can't see anything not being fantastic.

Our first visit to Max's Wine Dive! Complimentary valet service in this area; Decor is fantastic-- "date-night" mixed with "girls-night-out", but not my recommendation for kids. A great wine list & they'll open a new bottle w/ a guarantee of 2-glass pour. The menu was explained to us; each section & how the plates were offered. Some selections are specific to each location. We ordered the famous fried chicken, the burger & took advantage of the max & cheese for an appetizer. The only disappointment were the collard greens...could have used a different seasoning. We also left with the opportunity to purchase the wine we had ( a fantastic Bordeaux) by the bottle or by the case! Chef & Manager made rounds! Making Max's a regular go-to!

Sunday BRUNCH at Max's Wine Dive in Fort Worth is nice for meeting with family and or friends. Sunday afternoon my sister and I along with my two nieces met at Max's. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the people at the front desk. (YES, that's important.) We were immediately seated and our server was pleasant and answered any questions we had about the menu. All of us ordered mimosas, which were very good. I ordered Max's Famous Southern Fried Chicken served with home fries, collard greens and Texas toast. A good choice, if I say so myself. The food was good and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Max's Wine Dive is a popular spot. It's a GOOD addition to the West 7th Dining Scene in Fort Worth. I will visit again.

Brunch at Max's is a treat because the menu has such a wide range of interesting items. Husband got the fried egg sandwich which would actually feed a family of three. Craving protein, I got the burger upgraded with duck fat, fried egg and fried green tomato, but without the bun. Both dishes were flawless. The ketchup for the fries was enlivened with curry and sriracha. Max visited for a long time and invited us to sign up for Restaurant Week. We love this place!

There was not a very large wine selection for a place that specifies wine as one of there main attractions. The food was good but not great for the price. My wife's food came out cold. They promptly took care of the issue, however, if I spend $30 on a meal I expect it to hit the table with no problems. The server seemed somewhat informed about the food and wine but did not particularly recommend or explain much. All in all I would expect to pay half of the price for the experience.

The wine list was outstanding and the service was very good. However, my wife did not enjoy her entrée. It was taken back and removed from the check with no issues. My wife had been snacking of my and my daughters plates and stated she did not want anything else. The manager came over and spoke with us to ensure we were happy. This was followed up by the chef coming out and speaking with us. He had no attitude and merely wanted to know what she was unhappy with. Very soon after we were presented with with a new entrée in take home containers with my wifes entrée exactly as she said she would have liked to have had it. The chef changed several things in his creation to make her happy. We will return.

Had heard good things about this place, so purchased a Groupon to try it out. Definitely met our expectations! Love that it's different than the other restaurants in the area and love the menu! There were so many things that sounded so delicious, that I had a hard time choosing! I love that everything is made from scratch, except the bread, which is local. A great date place, but I wouldn't really call it romantic. The layout of the tables is not very conducive to private conversation, because everything is close quarters. The restaurant is long and narrow, though, so they don't really have a choice. That won't keep me from going back because I'm more concerned about the quality of the food and the service, which were exceptional!

This was our fourth visit to Max's within about six months and we don't live that close - we seem to be developing a habit. Their menu changes just enough to keep the choices fresh but I love their redfish; I hope they keep it on the menu. We like their policy of opening any bottle of wine on their menu for you as long as you commit to purchasing at least two glasses from it. The only downside to this visit was our table location. Even with a reservation we were seated at a table between the servers' bar access and the front door. Every time the door opened we were blasted in the face with reflected sunlight off the building across the driveway plus there was an u ending stream of traffic beside us. Overall another fine experience though.

We had a great experience, starting with the PBJ wings . . . then the comfort food was the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the best collard greens we have tasted (although it's been a long, long time). Dessert was snickerdoodle with cinnamon ice cream - yum !! The service was excellent, the food delicious, the location very accessible and a great place for a date night experience !!! Thanks, Max's . . . .
