  • "I went here for brunch and it was amazing! The menu has a nice wide-variety and the mimosas are awesome! Go ahead and get the carafe if you have a group of three or more. We had a nice sampling of the menu including the fried chicken and pancakes, grits, sweet potato donuts --topped with BACON <--gotta love that! We also had the smoked salmon on bagel bites and the lobster benedict! IT was SOOO good, plus the service was great. Friendly. Prompt. Pleasant, plus they have amazing "wine" inspired t-shirts. Make sure you get one. I will definitely be back. This place came highly recommended by Tish Around Town and it exceeded expectations!"

  • "This place was made with me in mind! Great wine and simply delicious food. I've been for both dinner and brunch and found it a fabulous experience each time. Carl our server, made an amazing impression at dinner and Heather handled a brunching table of 9 just fine! Definitely try the fried chicken and the latkes are great too! Brunch offer $3 mimosas (hello!!) and creme brûlée French toast. What more does a girl need?!"

  • "Atmosphere was great, service was good, had a good wine list. Food was just okay. For the price of the food the quality wasn't there."

  • "Fantastic food and great service. Took the recommendation for fried chicken and licked the plate."

  • "Went here for brunch after drooling over the menu online..got the grapefruit ($3!) mimosa and fried chicken..absolutely delicious! The chicken has the tiniest bit of kick to it, due to the batter, and is the perfect level of crispy. Our waitress was incredibly nice, and the wine list/vibe was so nice that I plan to make this my after work go to. Great new addition to midtown!"

  • "We chose to go here for girls night and it was a great pick. They have really fun music and ambiance, as well as great food and wine selections. Our server was really good, very engaging and was very knowledgeable about the wine menu. We had some Bison sliders which were good. I definitely want to go and try the fried chicken at some point though."

  • "Max's Wine Dive is the best new restaurant to hit the Midtown scene. Their fried chicken has set a new standard for the BEST fried chicken in Atlanta. The food is great. The service is great. And of course, as a wine dive, the wine list is fantastic. This was our fourth trip to Max's. This time we tried the skirt steak and it was the most tender and flavorful we had experienced in Atlanta. Great choice."

  • "I love the concept behind MAX's and am thrilled for them to be in Midtown. The food was great as was the wine. I literally have been dreaming about the oysters nachos and the brussels on the loaded latkes. The servers and staff are quite friendly and very knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back to explore the rest of their menu."

  • "I've eaten at other Max's locations in the past and absolutely love the wine list, food and concept. I was so excited to see a location open in ATL. The fried chicken was delicious. Latke Cakes were incredible. And Fried Egg Sandwich always a croud pleaser. Try for dinner or brunch...bring your appetite."

  • "I wanted to find a new place for our date night. My wife and I loved the food, atmosphere and service. We are putting Max's Wine Dive on our list for date night again."

  • "The food was great, the server was very nice and helpful. Towards the end of our meal, though, our server somewhat disappeared and it took us a long while to get our check. Other than that, it was an overall good experience."

  • "Met some friends for a week night happy hour. The ambiance is nice and casual with warm wood paneling and "Pulp Fiction" artwork that gives it a little edge. The wine list is great, however, it is pricy (even for their by the glass selections - some of which are on tap). The food was good. The menu has southern inspired food with a contemporary twist in small plate and large plate portions. I would recommend it for those who enjoy an extensive wine selection."

  • "We were in the midtown Atlanta area for just one night and were looking for a place for dinner within walking distance of our hotel. We were delighted to find a brand new Max's Wine Dive a half a mile away! We had been to the Austin location and loved it. The new Atlanta location lives up to the reputation. The service was stellar with friendly and down-to-earth people. The food was delicious! We had a bottle of the Eco-friendly house red wine to wash down a Fried Egg Sandwich (scrumptious) and Fried Chicken (flavorful, tender and juicy). The jukebox is chock full of good tunes and it's free to play. Give this place a try. You won't be sorry. Two thumbs up!!"

  • "The concept is good -- a broad selection of good wines at reasonable prices with food, some of which not normally associated with fine wine, also at reasonable prices. The execution is also good. We enjoyed the fried chicken and fried oyster from the franchise side of the menu and other dishes on the farm-to-table, healthier page. Probably drank a glass or two of wine more than we planned, but what the heck. A friendly new option in Midtown."

  • "Our server was really great at making it an experience, not just a dinner. She helped me find a wine out of my normal selection that was delicious. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was great for both a date night or a night with friends. I will definitely be going back."

  • "I have been waiting on Max's since I went in Houston, i loved it there and love it here. The food was wonderful, the openness of the kitchen and the awesome decor draws you in. The staff was friendly & accommodating and our server Hope was pure AWESOMENESS with her knowledge of the menu, recommendations and great attitude. Really great experience for just being open under a month. Please keep it up!!!:)"

  • "Fun and good! Great selection of wines along with good advice on pairings, cool variety of comfort foods, and a serving staff that knocks your socks off! On the list now of favorite urban places to eat, drink, and enjoy."

  • "The wine list here is indeed good. Unfortunately, they billed a number of the sparkling wines as "Champagne" because it is a champagne kind of place according to our server. That is embarrassing for them, but not as embarrassing as most of the food. All I can say about the Pan Borracho is that you'd have to be borracho to enjoy it - bread doused in "Gruyere" and "Prosciutto" that looked and tasted like the swiss cheese and ham in a frozen chicken cordon bleu from Sams Club. I didn't think it was possible to ruin a burrata and fresh beets salad but apparently it is and now I know how - cover them in BBQ seasoning you'd usually find in a bag of BBQ potato chips. The skirt steak and fries were the sole bright spot."

  • "I haven't had fried chicken this good in years. Usually it's not something I would order (watching the waist line), but since Max's is known for it, thought I'd give it a try...and I wasn't disappointed at all. Even the collard greens (which I usually do not like) were delicious. Started with the pulled pork stuff peppers, added a great bottle of red (which I should of taken a picture of the label so I could remember it) and had an excellent dining experience over all. Sara(h) was a fabulous waitress as well, full of personality, but not over kill. Going back again tonight for girls night."

  • "Good food, great waiter, excellent vibe with the free juke box and great music selections. They just forgot to check us in with open table."

  • "I went with a small group of girls and it was the perfect spot! The waiters were very knowledgeable about the wine list and all of the food was delicious... the portions are very generous!"

  • "The fried chicken was amazing! You cannot go wrong with that! There was so much stuff I wanted to try but couldn't eat it all in one seating. I definitely will go back!"

  • "as other reviewers have mentioned.. there are too many tables/chairs inside. I weigh 130 pounds & was at risk of bumping over the water glasses at the table next to me in my attempt to shimmy sideways to get to my seat. They could remove one 4-top & create a much more comfortable dining experience for all their patrons. Otherwise.. great wine selections & unique options to purchase wines by the glass or bottle. The drunk bread is well worth the calories and a "must have". The small plates are large portions.. not much smaller than the large plates. The broccoli/cauliflower dish with cheese and chilis was very tasty! Shrimp & grits were OK but I've had better elsewhere. If they work out the seating issue, then they'll have a winner!"

  • "Run, don't walk, over to Max's Wine Dive. They have only been open a few days but we have eaten there twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. The menu is very creative with one side dedicated to their corporate menu and one side dedicated to their local chef Jason. The first night our group decided to share six of their starters. Exceptional standouts included the bison sliders, fried oysters on wontons, shredded pork stuffed peppers and potato latkes. WOW, the food is the best of the new restaurants that have popped up in Midtown. Service is exceptional and of course, the wine list is the BEST of any Midtown establishment. To top it off, the wines are reasonably priced and you can purchase their wines to go at reasonable prices."

  • "Four of us all loved our meals. Fried chicken was crispy outside and moist inside, burger was cooked perfectly and the toppings were a hit. The small plates of stuffed peppers with pulled pork, the bison sliders and baby kale salad didn't last long at the table. Definitely worth a visit to try."

  • "Disappointed with first trip. I really hope they get better. It's only been open a week or 2 so I'm sure they are working on it. Lighting needs some work too (especially at the bar) ."

  • "Great experience! The staff were great! They helped me navigate the menu, since I have a gluten intolerance. Also, the fried chicken is amazing!"

  • "The drunken bread is delicious. I had the shrimp and grits which were also good. My only complaint would be that the tables are situated too close together which makes it difficult to move between them."
