Waited15 minutes, not unreasonable for the occasion. Service was excellent though both kitchen and bar were VERY backed up. Our server kept us abreast of the delays & apologized profusely. When food arrived, it was delicious and obviously had not been sitting around. Lobster gnocchi was wonderful & the lobster tail garnish was perfectly cooked. Fish and chips entree was excellent as well. No room for dessert but the special dacquoise sounded yummy. One complaint- 2 of us ordered a Hemingway which was essentially a daiquiri glass stuffed with consolidated ice with a very tiny drink poured over it-poor value at 9$. We received great service, our waitress was right there if we needed her and everything came out in a timely manner. The food was average. I wasn't wowed.
Overall it was a pleasant time, I wouldn't say the food was worth the price. We have better luck with steak at Texas Roadhouse than any other restaurant we've been too.
But the outdoor seating looks fun for groups going out for drinks? It was too chilly for us to sit out there. But the night was very tasty with the sauces on the side. We are both on a diet & split the main entre with extra side vegies. The portion sizes were good. The wait staff was attentive but didn't hover. We went mid week and were seated right at our reserved time. The waitstaff were more than pleasant and friendly. Everyone smiled and seemed to really enjoy working there. Dinner was unrushed and enjoyed at a leisurely rate even though the restaurant was full. We didn't have to wait long for our meals and they were as pleasing to our sight as they were to our taste buds . I had crab cake and sauce on my filet over garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus. Both of us found the meal to be fantastic. For desert, we split the german chocolate bread pudding. That was terrible, dry and hard as a brick. Each of us could handle only 1 bite. After dinner coffee was very good and I had a couple of glasses of pinot noir with my meal which was also very good. While we prefer several of the other branches, the Springfield outpost is a real asset to the local dining scene and consistently produces pleasing meals. Bar tender very friendly and knowledgeable. Waiter was very good and very helpful in helping us decide what to order. I had pre-ordered flowers to be delivered to the restaurant. I spoke with the reservation desk and I arranged what time they were to be brought out as well as pre-ordered a couple of appetizers. I even requested a certain booth. Everything went off without a hitch. The staff even gave us a signed anniversary card from everyone. One of my co-workers recommended that I go here so I made reservations for Friday the 15th. The atmosphere was quiet yet moderate. It was not too noisy. It was a very romantic setting. Our waitress was extremely nice! I had the Pan-Pressed Murray’s Chicken and he had Steak Au Poivre which was in a Brandy peppercorn sauce. His steak was a bit spicy because of the peppercorn but he said he enjoyed it very much. My chicken was slow roasted and very tender. It came with Brussels sprouts, local Honeycrisp apple, dried cranberry and bourbon apple cider jus. It was lovely.
