Special Events & Promotions: Southern Fried Night is Back! On Thursday, August 4th we are shutting down our regular menu and ramping up an a la carte menu solely dedicated to Southern classics. Think Blackened Catfish, Chicken Fried Steak, Hush Puppies, Fried Okra, Chili Relleno, Bourbon Pecan Pie, Chess Pie, and much more. This is by far our most well attended and delicious annual event so make your reservations soon and bring your friends.

"Maverick was a great find. It is located about 2 blocks from the Mission/16th BART and about 3 blocks from the ODC Theater. It opens at 5:30 p.m. so we were able to get in and out before our 6:30 p.m. theater event. There was a solid wine selection by the glass and bottle and interesting sounding cocktails. We enjoyed a house salad with Muscat grapes and nuts. My entree of Bay Scallops and Prawns with a spring roll and asparagus was delicious and just the perfect portion size. I tried some of my companion's fried chicken which was absolutely delicious. It was accompanied by vegetables, a bisquit and gumbo gravy. The food style is that of "the children of Chez Panisse" but I don't know his training. The service was attentive. Reserve."

"Everyone liked everything we ate, food was delicious. Only issue was portion sizes, WAY, WAY TOO SMALL. No excusse for the prices that are being charged. Too many good restaurants in SF, I will not return."

"The service was outstanding, great food! I highly recommend the Risotto, but every dish that we ordered was really good. Except for the macaroni and cheese, it was too runny!"
