We had a wonderful dinner here
with a table overlooking the beach. Sunset was spectacular! The crispy brussel sprouts, crispy ahi roll and blackened opakapaka over homemade pasta were all unusual and delicious. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Maui. The restaurant is very popular so a reservation saved us waiting on a long line."

Very expensive and microwave food.
We had the chicken and salmon and they were tasteless, burnt and dry. The hostess had an attitutude. The waitress was nice but kind of aloof. The scenery was spectacular though."

Surrounded by very good places to
eat MFP was a good stop but can not think of a really good reason to go back. Solid pick, good food very nice service."

We both had the Hawaiian Sea Bass
(HAPU’UPU’U) and it was cooked to perfection. Service was good but they were already out of one of their fish specials by 645. Bummer there. Owner has several restaurants and is also a sommelier. I was expecting a more robust wine list and was a bit disappointed in the selection but liked what I ordered. Hostess a bit grumpy but we can live with that."

I have been to Maui 4 times, and
have seen 4 different restaurants in this spot. I think these guys have a recipe that will allow them to stick around. Great food, attentive service and an unbeatable view. Go early for sunset, and as everything is fresh, they run out of things fast."

We had just arrived in Maui the
day before and were worried as to where we could go for Valentines Day. We were two couples and a baby with stroller, and they accommodated us very nicely. The staff was great, and so was the food. Great Pina Coladas!"
Dined on 2/14/2014
Just great food and service. Fresh
made pasta is best in West Maui. The brussels sprouts are unique and amazing!"
Dined on 2/21/2014
Our reservation was for 7:30 and
they were already out of three of the entrees , two of their specialty drinks & at least 2 deserrts. Food we had was very good. Service was okay but waitress kept having to apologize for sold out selections. We would probably eat here again for the fresh pasta but will hope they plan better for the crowd."

With a name like Maui Fish and
Pasta, the Opakapaka we had did not dissapoint. It was perfectly prepared. Very good."
Dined on 2/14/2014
The service is fine but the food
is really not. If you are really hungry this resturant is close to the Kaanapali resort hotels. If you stick to simple items you will probably be OK."

A wonderful and relaxing dinner
experience for valentines day"

We tried this place 4 times, each
time hoping we would have a better experience because we love it's sister restaurant Sensei. This place must have a different manager because the food is average at best and the service is inconsistent. We will not be going back."
Dined on 2/13/2014
The food here was so good we came
back the next day for dinner again. Kids' food is also really good, especially the smoothies."
Dined on 2/9/2014
This is a great restaurant. The
fresh fish selections are beautifully prepared and presented. The service is prompt and very friendly. The location is perfect. Nothing like enjoying a tropical drink as you look out on the ocean."
Dined on 2/8/2014
went here with my husband and 2
other couples. we had wanted to go to Mama's fish house but it was so far from where we were staying on West Maui and this place was reviewed well. Our meals were delish. would highly recommend."

Only two pasta dishes on the menu
and one special. And "pasta" is in the name of the restaurant???? We waited 20 min at our table to see a server or get water. The server was nice and friendly when she arrived. We had to ask the host twice who was taking care of us before she showed up. The food was fresh and came out fast. The $28 chicken pasta dish was over complex with both capers and olives and pesto chicken. The chicken in the dish was bland and dry. The appetizers and salads were much better then the mains. I would not recommend this place for a pasta dinner. Stop by for drinks.. Spending $240 for dinner for four you can get much better food for half the price in the same mall. Or maybe order fish?"

We went to this restaurant to try
something different and less expensive than wed been spending. I'd not heard any feedback and the comments I read were from Trip Advisor. The menu on-line seemed very limited so my expectations were somewhat limited. We were early and sat at the bar for awhile enjoying a cool drink. When we were brought to our table, the view we had of the water, the island of Lanai and the sunset were spectacular. An even bigger surprise was, in addition to the menu I saw on-line, the had several specials that looked and were excellent. We enjoyed the view, the food and the service. Another must try restaurant at Ka'anapali's Whalers Village."

They were out of Opah and offered
Monchong instead, in the same preparation, which was fine. But we were there nearly an hour before food arrived."
Dined on 2/2/2014
Have been here numerous times in
past as Cane and Taro as well, still enjoy it every time. Menu chooses are a litlle heavy on the pasta side. Ahi sashimi and beet salad particularly fantastic."
Dined on 1/23/2014
The fish and pasta dishes were
excellent but do not order the steak or potato entrees. Steak was tough and baked potato didn't en have any butter on it. The white shrimp and pasta is very nice as is the garlic cheese bread. French onion soup just ok. Doesn't have the exciting menu that it did when it was Cane and Taro."

This restaurant is a real
"sleeper" on the Ka anapali scene. While Leilanis and Hula Grill have a 45 minute wait, you can usually walk into Maui Fish and Pasta and be seated almost immediately. Don't think people have tried the great fish and food there, maybe the name is misleading and they think they'll only be able to eat starchy pasta? My husband had the fish of the day, excellently prepared. I always order the Dragonfly Roll because it has never disappointed me, just wish they would serve it for lunch!"

A great restaurant with excellent
food at reasonable prices. Not inexpensive, but not overly expensive. A great buy given the food and atmosphere."
Dined on 1/17/2014
My wife and I had a great
experience there. The pork chops were most excellent."
Dined on 1/14/2014
We enjoyed our tipi me there, but
we certainly had better on Maui. The waiter was spectacular which made our meal better. The atmosphere isn't as scenic as the others in the area. My husband had the pork shank which was outstanding...recommended by our waiter."

First time and can't wait to
return. Must try the French Maui Onion soup - exceptional!! We had the crunchy spicy tuna roll - it was so good, we ordered another one! The poke was some of the best I have ever had. We also had the scallops - phenomenal! My son ordered the shrimp pasta and he said the past was wonderful - nothing left on his plate! The wedge salad was one of the best I have had. I HIGHLY recommend this place. The service was excellent!"

What a great spot! Even the kids
loved it. Food and service was terrific."
Dined on 12/27/2013
Excellent place for seafood and
pasta . Pasta is freshly made ! My boyfriend had the pork chops and he loved it ! The monchong pasta was yummy ! Great for a date night !"
Dined on 11/30/2013
The food is very good as is the
service, it's not cheap, then again nothing in Hawaii is, but I felt it was good value."
Dined on 11/8/2013
Food was well prepared and
creative, but the menu is quite limited with few choices, and service was slow."
Dined on 10/21/2013
We thought we would try Fish and
Pasta as an alternative and actually ate there several times during a two week stay in the area. First night sushi was good and service was OK but second night was so different. They were out of several local beers we tried to order and server was really inattentive. Sushi was not even the same roll size or contents on second visit. So disappointed. It was almost empty every night of our stay by 8:00pm while nearby places continued to have busy evenings. Even the bar at Fish and Pasta was empty. Not sure how this restaurant can ever make it. We wondered if they were paying bills on time if so many popular beer choices were out of stock. This is a DK restaurant but it needs help - and consistency."

We went to Maui Fish and Pasta
while on vacation. The location at the Whaler's Village was very convenient. We weren't expecting a high end dining experience and the prices are reasonable considering you are in Hawaii. The meal was average for what we were expecting. I had the Mahi Mahi and my wife had the local catch of the day, Mahjong (sp?). The Mahi was very good, but my wife said her Mahjong was just ok and had been better and Leilani's a few days earlier. Overall, probably met our expectations for the price paid."

This restaurant has a convenient
location on Kaapapali Beach. That's about all they had going for them. The wine selection was very limited. The special wine of the evening was terrible. The food was just average or even less than... We both were disappointed with our entree's. They just weren't tasty or fresh tasting. We come to this beach once a year. I doubt this place will be here next time. Service was very good though."
