Matt's in the Market reviews from OpenTable diners
  • Great place in a dingy neighborhood

Great place to eat at the Pike end of the Market. I always make a point to eat here at least once on my visits to Seattle. When my wife and I showed up for a reservation, they could not find our OpenTable reservation. I was able to show them a confirmation email on my phone, and they were gracious about seating us soon as they could. In the future I would definitely recommend calling ahead to reconfirm a reservation a few days early. Overall a great food and wine dining experience

Expected it to be nicer. Photos/website appears to be pretty nice, but it is just an average place and I felt like it was a little pricey for the items we ordered. The temperature in the restaurant was sweltering and our waiter didn't offer any explanation i.e. a/c broken, which we could have understood. So it leads me to believe that is the usual ambient temp for summer dinner hours. On that note, I would caution those sensitive to the heat because we are from the gulf south and are accustomed to heat and found it too hot to enjoy the meal. Had we known this, we definitely would have not gone there.
