Matsuhisa - VailReally good foodAs one would expect, matsuhisa is top of the line spot. Sashimi/sushi top notch, even in the trough season. Discovered lamb was delicious as well. Hard to go wrong here. service very attentive and professional, yet young. It's a bit too pricey, but we will still return for great fod and wine. Setting pretty nice, as well.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMEven my mother can rave! The food and service were amazing! It was off season so there was a chef's special meal that my mother and I split with a good sampling of regular menu items. The first sashimi appetizer (snapper with a drop of lemon and garlic flakes) was to DIE FOR! Melts in your mouth and so tasty! This is the dish my mother has been talking about for weeks and she doesn't like anyone's cooking but her own. The other dishes were all cooked to perfection, mochi ice cream was the best I've ever had.
Our only complaint was the proximity of the tables to each other. There were two couples at the table behind me and I involuntarily heard every word they spoke (sometimes over the server).5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visitThis was our second visit to Matsuhisa. The food was once again fabulous!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAs good as as any JapaneseAs good as as any Japanese restaurant or New York restaurant! These are spectacular dishes they serve...so skilled.
connie4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLocated in the Solaris developmentLocated in the Solaris development in Vail Village, Matsuhisa has been a hit for the two years its been in business. The chef's interpretation of traditional Japanese food is quite exceptional. The menu can be a little confusing, but the waitstaff are exceptional in helping the diner in their selection. Our party had an extensive sampling of the menu, and we can attest that nothing disappointed our palates. We give the highest recommendation for the restaurant, and hope you agree.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSpectacular as always. WhetherSpectacular as always. Whether a Matsuhisa or Nobu, they never disappoint. Had the grand omakase this visit and it was extraordinary. Easily one of Vail/Beaver Creek's best dining experiences.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNot generally a Japanese foodNot generally a Japanese food fan, but was very impressed with food and variety of choices.
