The staff was professional, attentive yet unobtrusive- and they couldn't have been sweeter to our rambunctious 2 year old that needed "dining breaks."

We've had Sunday brunch, lunches and dinners over many years. The food is solid French food served by a competent staff. Our last visit wasn't our best. The food wasn't special--not bad--but not terrific. It was a Sunday night and the place was almost empty. Not a good sign usually. We'll keep going there with the hope that we had an off night. The restaurant really is beautifully decorated and the maitre d'/owner is friendly and welcoming. The clientele is older and the feeling is a bit more formal (but not stuffy or pretentious) -- most of the men on a recent Saturday dinner were in jackets and some in ties. Service was professional and the tables are sufficiently far apart that you can have a conversation. The food is French inspired, but not really different from anything you'd find at another high-end restaurant downtown. The appetizers and fish entrees we had at our dinner were uniformly excellent if unspectacular. I would definitely return, but it wasn't so exceptional that I would make it a "destination restaurant."4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy tuna tartar and searedMy tuna tartar and seared scallops were outstanding by my dining companion did not find his snapper quite as good, although it was very good and that is why the rating was not listed as outstanding.
