Match 65 is a beautiful & casual French Brasserie that will make you feel right in Paris with its authentic decor, zinc bar (comptoir), mosaic & subway tiles, mirrors, fan & art deco lighting, red oax blood banquette and cast iron tables. "Love Match 65! I've lived in the neighborhood for a few years now and had always walked by and never seemed to find the right opportunity to visit! Last night I had dinner with a friend in from Los Angeles and we had the best time! The ambience was awesome... it's a cheeky yet very chic place with really fun decor and ambience.... you do feel like you're in a Parisian Bistro.... Super fun! Loved it! I'll definitely be hanging out there a lot more in the future!"

"The problem was that the Maitre d' knew that we had an event after and early dinner, and he did nothing to inform the kitchen that they had to move quickly -- and we were virtually the only people there. We will give it another try though. Food is really good and very French!"

"Casual, downmarket style UES restaurant with upscale prices. Nice drinks, well-filled glass of wine, very tasty crab cakes, beautifully presented. The Bouef Bourguignon is a little more problematic. Certainly it wasn't bad. I soaked up the gravy with bread and devoured every morsel. Maybe the beef was a little chewy and not tender enough. The gravy was not bad but I've had better. At least it wasn't overloaded with salt but perhaps it could have used some. Excellent service, friendly waitress. The place hasn't got much ambiance, lots of dungarees. Why is it maitre'ds no longer say good-night when a customer [who's spent a lot of money] leaves? But not a bad place. I would try it again, get the crab cakes, and a different entree."
