  • "Dear Open Table, We had a most unfortunate experience at lunch. We ordered at 12 10 pm. One hour later, we did not have our meals. My guest is 6 months pregnant - she asked for something to nibble on - but no service even with this request. We finally told them at 115pm, that we would need take out. At that point, the entrees arrived. They were obviously short staffed that day and I think the owner who took the order forgot to put it in... There was no apology or anything. I do like the food there, but given the embarrassment will not go back for a very long time. I have also let my U of T colleagues know that they must avoid this place at lunch."

  • "I have been eating here a couple of times a year for a few years now and have never once had a bad experience. The staff is attentive, but do not hover around the table. The lighting is soft and the decor is interesting, but it all stays in the background letting you focus on the meal. I don't drink, so I can't comment on the wine list, but the menu has a wide selection for different palates and dietary obligations. Malaysian food is savoury and you can select your "hottness" level if you want spicy. The prices are reasonable for sure and it's easy to have a nice meal for two with appetizers and a bottle of sparkling water for about $50."

  • "My friends and I picked to eat here during Winterlicious this year specifically because none of us had ever tried Malaysian food. The menu itself was mouth-watering with a variety of choices made with an interesting fusion of ingredients. We ordered 3 out of the 4 choices for the apps, entrees and dessert. We were a table of 3 so we figured doing this would allow us to try almost everything. The entire selection was amazing! My only disappointment was how tiny the servings were for their appetizers (specifically the spring rolls-- it was only 2 small pieces). The beef ribs were to die for, they were tender and the coconut milk addition was fantastic. That was our favourite among the entrees and for dessert, the pandan crepe was unreal!"

  • "We keep returning to this great neighbourhood favourite because we love the food and the staff are so welcoming. Every dish we've tried is excellent, seafood curry, nasi and mee goreng, cashew chicken, mango salads are fresh and tangy. Always have to include the delicious rotis! Highly recommended."

  • "I found the Char Kway Teow was too salty and missing some ingredient in it to make it Malaysian Char Kway Teow. The Achar-Achar and chicken satay were not bad but again, very different than the real Malaysian ones. I really like the pandan crepe, which I think was done very well and close enough to those back home."

  • "Very good food, freshly prepared, intense yet tasty flavours. Efforts to deliver good meals, from apetizers to deserts (fried banana & coconut filled crepes were excellent!). Considering that it's not local food, it would require more intro & explanation from the waiting staff, and make it much richer experience! Good food & nice place to eat!"

  • "We visited during the winterlicious 2014 and took the Prix Fixe Program menu. That menu had a good selection for a carnivore or a a vegetarian. They waiter made sure to give his full attention and walk us through the menu. Was impressed with the food. Had a look at the regular menu, it was very limited didn't have some dishes i am used to seeing in other places. Still looked good. We will go there again for dinner again without a doubt."
