The food was full of fresh vegetables and herbs and tended to be on the lighter side with great flavors. The food is thoughtful and unique, and always spot on – stuff I'd never think to or easily be able to make at home. The service is top-notch, very knowledgeable but not stuffy.
We sat outside on the patio (which is great), I've never sat inside (by choice) because it's always been beautiful weather when I go.

The overall theme is New Orleans Artsy. The wine list is good but the food may leave you a bit wanting. We had a great appetizer but the steak was way over billed. The usual marketing --- Hand raised beef, all beef voted democratic in last election, and subscribes to Mother Jones -- That type of place. Problem was that the main course, a steak, was overcooked (ordered rare and came medium well) and it wasn't an accident because two steaks ordered the same way and both came overcooked. The meat was sub-par, it may have been hand raised by people who don't know what they are doing. Tough and almost impossible to cut. Our waiter was fantastic and extremely helpful with assisting us select our entrees, and I thought the wine and liquor selection was very impressive for a smaller restaurant. The use of locavore gems and thoughtful wine choices, by the waitress no less, made the meal memorable. The ambiance is great. When a rather large party sat next to us, the volume reached a rather high level, but that's a trade off I'm willing to make for an intimate bistro experience.
On a negative note, I have to say, that I've never been greeted enthusiastically when entering this restaurant (I bathe regularly and wear deodorant and cologne), and sometimes feel not particularly welcome there.
